she fiddles with a needle and gets ill in the middle
of a drug induced fantasy, her own inscenced family
drops her in a hospital until she gets well a lil'
because she tends to be rough she pretends she's tough
but of course a puff what was all she needed but now thats not enough
this stuff is no good she broods in a bad mood
dudes start to stay away because she's looking so damn crude
but she cant stop
cos shes stuck in the habit

she cant even understand why she started it
peer pressure or pleasure now her tears cannot be measured
a lotta pain a lil' gain its a shame but sometimes just a lil' can hurt a lot

ive read the book. theres no denying that shes a promising writer especially when u take her age into consideration, but shes no there yet
a much better book is "ALL good things will come" by some other nigerian female writer. cant recall her name now, a lot more mature than purple hibiscus. both books have similar styles and were released at around the same tome
