From your last statement, You may not be far from the the truth. Quite a plausible explanation to why he got the love letter after a "long" 16 days.

I would have been thinking I've made it to the next round already if I'd gone that long.

At this point, just pray for LUCK to be on your side.

If after 16 days someone can be served love letter, it is not about praying for luck, it is about grace...luck runs out but grace never runs to an end. We simply need to pray for grace and favour.

Expect a mail telling you of ur completion of stage 1 and a report of your working style assessment. Then wait for shell to do their part and get back to u.

So u mean they will still send a message that dose with love letter will proceed. Better don't give people false hope, shell and shell Nigeria. Didn't u register on the shell Nigeria website at least u selected d country. People just looking for ways to give themselves hope. Why will they tell u they reject and later accept, Isn't it a structured organization. U better accept fact and face d realities of life. Those who were regretted via mail does it shows on the application status on shell website If yes, it is valid. If no, it is invalid. Maybe u don't know the number of people that applied for an highly competitive job like shell. Then say shell and brass reject, shell Nigeria will later employ. Let's just quit all these rumours and baseless points and continue to hope on God for the best. To everyone on this platform. God will bless us with good jobs IJn. Amen.

It is alright. U are still thinking. What I posted above is the real package. Trainees will be trained for a period of a time and then they will be assessed. If you passed based on d available criteria, u will be offered permanent letter. Shell can't bring in graduates in large numbers to pay and train dem and dispose dem off. Who does that??they select the best out of the best during application that's y it is first class and 2:1, they trained d best and from dere select the best out of dem.

Working at Shell might end up not being as rosy as many think. I read the clause that says after 2-5 years of coming in as graduate trainee you become an Independent Shell Contractor. I think that means you only receive salaries and benefits packages for 2-5 years. Then you later become a contractor under shell where you no longer receive salaries but paid only when you have a contract assignment. In the long run the politics involved in securing a contract will be high. I trust Nigeria for that. Then no retirement packages. You just end up being used and dumped.

Please let's spread our tentacles for other opportunities cos I believe there are many companies out there far better than Shell in the long run.

You can also think of starting a business. May end up the best option afterall.

Thank God u are thinking.In life say what u know, not what u think. They are not using one and dumping one, u av misinterpreted d whole stuff. The program is designed to train graduate for a period after which they will be assessed and if passed they will offer one permanent appointment.
