That apart, how do you think production parameters are being measured in today wells??

No one is worshipped based on your degree, you are worshiped based on your competence. Babs Omotawa the Ex shell Nigeria boss,former NLNG MD and present Shell International director is a Management science graduate. Mutiu Sumonu, the former Shell Boss, director at Julius berger now and Petralon Energy is a mathematics graduate. These are people that made marks in the industry. I can go on and on. Come with right information on public forums as you can't tell who might need that information. His post was redundant. The required degree needed for the Job was put in the advert, did he need to come say some people are worshipped. Whoever supports his view has limited professional experience to see that it's a very stupid posts.

I have no issue with you bro. There are many ways we can interpret a post. What he said is quite ambiguous and that was why I buttress it the other time. To me, he was referring to the fact that engineers are very much needed and sought after in the industry due to their technical skills, does it mean other profession are not needed, They are also needed....and one more thing, we can always drive home our point without tending to abuse or ridicule the other person knowledge. You are the one saying what you don't . I have worked in the chemical, automative and other industries. So, I have a lot of concrete evidence than you.

I am not talking of the percent or number of Engineers needed compare to other disciplines.

You can't say hospitals belong to the Economists, Engineers , Physicists, Computer scientists etc but the Doctors. All these other professionals also work in the hospitals.

Please let this issue die down, I understand what U are saying, to me the engineers are very much needed in the industry, check job adverts from oil and gas industry, they are mostly 75% engineering related either graduate trainee or experienced hire. It doesn't mean other profession is not needed or doesn't work in the industry. The technical section involves the expertise of engineers a lot, the shell brochure exemplify this. To me, engineers are very much needed in the industry as well as other professionals.

Abeg, any info on shortlisting, will the interview hold immediately after the test and what are the chances of resuming this year. These are the info we should be providing here and not arguments.

Application for the AOS Orwell Graduate Trainee Program has been extended to today and since I applied after the first deadline and still got the thank you message on their page, don't know if I should still apply again. Though I have logged in now but can't find any job placement history

The deadline is now today but you need not reapply after the thank you message. Your details has been stored on their database and if u still feel the need to reapply u can definitely do that today.

Good morning. Please who have idea when shortlisting will take place. Let the PH guys update us please.

Why is it that my details are not showing after I logged in again after submission? And how will one be sure he has successfully applied. This stuff though.

Please how will one know he or she has successfully registered. Cos I got a response after the first submission that they have my details And later on I got a mail that d submission was undelivered. And to submit again, it kept bringing a blank page. Anyone with useful info.

Please do anyone have an idea of when shortlisting will start, so one can start to prepare. That firm will surely be a good place to work. I believe after submitting once, our details is already with them.

Please when I registered, my NYSC certificate wasn't ready though I showed evidence that I will soon be done serving but av passed out since April and have it with me now. Am I still in with a chance? That's d only thing that sometimes make me skeptical. Really need this DPR job.

The criteria for technical section is strict and the position is highly competitive. I guess it come with an higher pay packet. So after 25th, the real screening beckons. God help us all.

GE pays around 400k.
Secondly, they have one of the best training schemes for graduate engineers. A family friend of mine spent 6 years as a field engineer at GE, today he is a Senior Manager at transcorp warri. He salary is above 3.5million/per month

Please do you have idea how much shell pay their graduate trainee engineers??. Just want to have an idea. Getting into the final stage of interview now seems to be all by God's grace with the rate love letter is spreading up and down.
