This is serious. U mean this is what we have turned the president of a country into, mocked by CNN and now there is a betting placed on him. This is sardonic and lugubrious. |

deepwater: Young man, you are a disgrace to your so called profession, you go about every thread about graduate trainee positions on Nairaland and distort the peace therein then start claiming Mr. Experience and calling people ignorant.
How can you produce a well without well control? How can you control a well without electrical power/energy?
Guy are you who you truly claim to be? Have you worked with ESP's before? That apart, how do you think production parameters are being measured in today wells??
Have you been behind a deepwater Xmas tree control console?? OMG! What kind of training have you received to make such a huge and quick generalization?
I know you problem, you have been reading alot, I would rather advise that you change your books and pick up modern texts. At this rate you spill garbage, It is obvious you are just a simple wannabe, always contradicting yourself in every argument. Same way u where just talking trash on the shell thread about marine. Niggar whenever you mention deepwater, I would be there to clear you doubts for real.
BTW I saw your thread on the deepwater horizon, FYI I was on the deepwater discovery (DWD) when that sheet happened. So u don't call me ignorant Miss, u dey follow this guy ni, anyway he will still counter u, I hope both of u won't turn this to another shell thread, if u check the previous messages, he has been warned to keep off, but I trust my dude, His knowledge in diverse subject matters is great that he is looking for every wrong opinion to counter. |

2 majekdom2: . That I come to correct misleading posts is showing to know it all. If you have a problem with my knowledge and experience why don't you deal with that off here. No one is worshipped based on your degree, you are worshiped based on your competence. Babs Omotawa the Ex shell Nigeria boss, former NLNG MD and present Shell International director is a Management science graduate. Mutiu Sumonu, the former Shell Boss, director at Julius berger now and Petralon Energy is a mathematics graduate. These are people that made marks in the industry. I can go on and on. Come with right information on public forums as you can't tell who might need that information. His post was redundant. The required degree needed for the Job was put in the advert, did he need to come say some people are worshipped. Whoever supports his view has limited professional experience to see that it's a very stupid posts. I have no issue with you bro. There are many ways we can interpret a post. What he said is quite ambiguous and that was why I buttress it the other time. To me, he was referring to the fact that engineers are very much needed and sought after in the industry due to their technical skills, does it mean other profession are not needed, They are also needed....and one more thing, we can always drive home our point without tending to abuse or ridicule the other person knowledge. I guess that was why ur institution train u in learning and in character. |

majekdom2: any normal individual does not need a magician to tell him this. Saying people are demi God means you don't have an idea what's obtainable in the industry itself. U seem to be taking this too far. What is ur interpretation of "Demi God"?? U always want to show u know it all on every thread on nairaland. He has explained his view on the matter, u are just taking the matter beyond the needed level. |

EdoBoy90: .
You are the one saying what you don't . I have worked in the chemical, automative and other industries. So, I have a lot of concrete evidence than you.
I am not talking of the percent or number of Engineers needed compare to other disciplines.
You can't say hospitals belong to the Economists, Engineers , Physicists, Computer scientists etc but the Doctors. All these other professionals also work in the hospitals. Please let this issue die down, I understand what U are saying, to me the engineers are very much needed in the industry, check job adverts from oil and gas industry, they are mostly 75% engineering related either graduate trainee or experienced hire. It doesn't mean other profession is not needed or doesn't work in the industry. The technical section involves the expertise of engineers a lot, the shell brochure exemplify this. To me, engineers are very much needed in the industry as well as other professionals. |
