No amount of sympathy will bring back the dead. Rather, you should be concerned about the inability of God to prevent the attack of the enemy. Of course you will say God knows the best. It's your usual line of defense. If those lads stayed back at their houses, they would likely not end up dead today. If your God assembles people for them to be sluttered, then something is inherently wrong with it.

No sir, the various companies inside UAC has already sent in vacant positions they would love to fill so your name will be sent to them and you will get an offer letter from that particular company. But you can chose to reject such an offer but you have to give a cogent reason why you don't want that particular company. Eg, Grand Cereals (makers of vita feeds, grand vegetable oil etc) are not in Lagos. They have plants at Onitsha and jos, Livestock feeds have there's at ABA, Portland has theirs at Ewokoro (Ogun state). So if you are sent to any of those locations while you are residing in Lagos, you can reject and ask for another offer, citing family as your reason. But then, you will be paid a handsome relocation fee if you are needed in such locations. Grand Cereals will even offer you free accommodation for a couple of months until you settle down.

Apart from that I don't think there's enough reason to reject an offer. Those in sales are a bit flexible. They can operate from anywhere within the country and not necessarily from the location the head office is at.

I still don't know how you got the info that another recruiting agency was paid N100k to bring in more people; I am not privy to such info. Infact, it may interest you to know that workforce charges millions of naira just for shortlisting you guys and organising the first exam.

The recruitment exercise is always a tough one, I don't know if people have been called up for medicals already. I believe the GSS and MT will resume same time. The last recruitment took a duration of 1 yr.

Well, the question may not come as straightforward as I wrote. I was asked what my present salary was and when I told them, the next question was why I wanted to leave where I was working b4. So u see, I wasn't literarily asked how much I was expecting. There's never a straightforward answer to that question incase it comes, but know that GSS is a scheme with a structured salary already so you are not going to negotiate for anything better than what is mapped out for the scheme.

I think I support the dude you quoted, although we need intelligence gathering, we don't need an agency for that. It can be a function of a unit in the dss. Establishing an agency for that creates an Avenue to siphon wealth, just like we have seen in this case. we know the kind of country we are in, and it's not like we are world super powers that needs to keep tab with activities of every other country. The only challenge we have is internal terrorism and this even started of Late.
