It's a choice to start over or not, but I wouldn't advise that you open a new request. I'll rather suggest you fund the account adequately and follow up with a visit to the bank. Please note that unless you have so much money in your account, you may not be able to move funds from your account until your account has been fully debited for the Form A transaction. The reason is because you may not really be able to pre-determine when the bank would want to debit your account and complete the transaction, and you wouldn't want your account to be met unfunded of course. pean06: Please what can I do…. Does this mean I will have to start again or I can just add more money to my account ? I am just confused. Gurus in the building, please advise me |

Is it really a must that the funds for living expenses must be in applicant's account? Anon123: NSE-Nigerian Student Express was a trick played on applicant that if you submit your documents and include an MBS-mybank statement certificate(to replace scanned bank statement) and IELTS result with at least 6.0 made on all bands, your application will be processed under the NBS category in 20days.
First few weeks, it worked but eventually 20days turned to 3months and gradually its back to the normal waiting time or the normal applicants with out either of those two docs.
As an international student, you are expected to have money for feeding, accomodation etc asides money for your tuition fees. Meaning that $10,000cad has to be in your account while the tuition can be with you or your sponsor. |

Try follow up with your bank for prompt processing and also update Flywire with the status once the deadline is approaching. They would eventually extend the 'latest date'. Mind you, this 'latest date' is that date by which you must initiate the transaction at your bank, and not the date Flywire expect the funds to have been received at their end. TomisinFemi: Good morning everyone. I want to make payment for my school fees trough Fly-wire, I generated an invoice already and also used that the details on it to fill a form-A online. the problem now is that form-A will take about a week but fly wire says my transaction must be initiated not later than four days after generating an invoice. I want to be sure if I'm getting things right. Thank you all |

Thank you Makano. Still waiting on Flywire to confirm funds receipt. makano: Hello sinorte
The bolded depends on the transaction history of your SOA, the inflow of the account..
For instance, for an account that has major inflow of 100k - 300k for few months and all of a sudden 10M - 15M drops without any reasonable narration of how the money came about, then the Visa officer will definitely have a concern about it.. But an account that has a major inflow of 5M - 12M wont have an issue with a sudden crediting of 15M, cos the account is very active with amounts close to the sudden amount..
Like I always say, the Visa Officer isn't only concerned about the closing balance of the account, they also look at the Transaction history of the account. i.e the Total Inflow and outflow of the duration of the Statement of account submitted..
Peace |

Congratulations to all those who have received their PPRs, and God's grace for those in waiting.
Please I would like to ask, how big could a sum of money be for it to be considered a lump sum? Again, what kinds of accounts could receive such amounts for it be considered a lump sum? |

Thank you sir. I suppose it would be required one opens an account with the bank before the transaction can be completed. The shortness of time may not allow for that. makano: Hello sinorte
I have not had an encounter with Union bank with it comes to Form A, but you can go to their Headquarters, if that would help..
I always recommend Stanbic IBTC for payment of school fees, they have fast processing of payment of school fees to schools..

Sir, sorry for bothering you. I'm just trying to learn at your feet . Are you saying even if a program is two years, they may not stamp the two years at a go? If that's the case, how would the 'balance visa' (pardon my language) be treated? Ketima: Hello Dangervu, the bolded is false. The can't stamp your passport beyond its expiration date. And not everyone gets 2 years validity stamped on their passports straight away. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by sinorte: 6:12pm On Jan 22, 2022 |
Thank you for the detailed explanation. So I'd assume a passport that expires in May 2024 for a 2 year program that commences in Fall 2022 is good to go for PPR later this year? Ketima: No valid month of validity of passport to have for PPR. But note that your passport can't be stamped a counterfoil beyond the expiration of your passport. As such that's why one needs to have his/her passport validity way above the duration of his/her studies.
For eg, if the validity of your passport is just 3 months and you used it to apply for visa without submitting a renewed one with longer validity, even if your study is 2yrs or more, the counterfoil on your passport will just have 3 months validity. But in some case, the IRCC sends msg for updated passport so that the fault won't be from them.
So it is adviced that once the validity of your passport is just a year and below and your course is more than one year, Kindly renew and submit to them via webform and email before sending passport for stamping. |

Thank you for this response. But how many valid months must one have on his or her passport for PPR? I understand a validity equivalent to the length of study is required. Obibaby: Apply for a renewal while waiting for PPR. If you get it before PPR, you can update IRCC about it and use the renewed passport for visa stamping. |
