Most schools in UAE have American and British teachers same as Saudi and Qatar, and they pay them heavily

I laugh at Dull Nigerians that think Arab and US give a shiit about religion like we choke ourselves with it

US, yes but thae arabs don't joke with their religion. Even in Dubai, their women are rarely seen outside.

America fight strategic war. they don't go to war they cannot win. that is why they will never admit they lost the vietnam war because of that ego.

check the real fighters of world war 1 and how they came at the later part of world war 2 to take the glory.

Britain, Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Ottoman empire and France fought gallantly in those wars and became worn out after they expended so much on the war.

they are doing the same thing G.Bush did with Iraq. putting the country in recession in a war they have no business fighting in the first place.

LegendHero:
To the people that dosen't know much about the timeline of event between USA and Iran, and those of you that always claim Iran are terrorists for standing up against bullies, let me summarize a few:

During the 1950s, USA was wary of communism and trying to clip the hands of the soviet union (communists) around the world.

During the 1950s, the British owned Anglo-Iranian oil company (Now known as British Petroleum) controlled Iran's oil refining capacity.

In 1951, the Iran government under PM Mohammed Mossadegh told the British that majority of the funds from the refined oil should go to Iranians, the British rejected the idea, the Iran government responded by nationalizing the British refinery in the city of Abadan.

Winston Churchill UK new PM was furious about this and he suggested to the CIA (USA) that the Iran communist party (Tudeh) is getting powerful and that they are taking over the country. The USA feared a communist country and they were drafted into Iran's case.

In 1953, the US and UK jointly began a coup against Iran in Operation Ajax (Planned from the USA embassy in Tehran), this coup deposed Mossadegh and put the power in the hands of the Shah. The Shah ruled with an absolute monarchy (Iran was practicing democracy before the coup).

People hated the Shah because they see him as a western puppet, also accused him of unpopular policies coupled with the harassment from his secret police called SAVAK. The SAVAK were trained mostly by American and Israeli military.

In 1979, Islamic revolution happened in Iran installing Ayatollah Khomeini. The people knew the USA planned the earlier coup from the USA embassy in Tehran, so to make the new revolution succeed further, they laid a 444-day hostage crisis in the embassy. Iran became enemies to the USA. Although conspiracy theories said USA supported Ayatollah indirectly (USA has always been double faced).

During the Iran-Iraq 8-years war. US heavily arms Iraq to oust increasingly successful Iran and then secretly armed Iran too to save them from Iraq. The Iraqis were led by Sadam-Hussein.

The west later fell-out with Sadam Hussein and invaded Iraq. The USA noticed that Iraq and Iran are starting to get closer because the majority Shia of Iran were visiting the holy sites in Iraq as the Baathist regime was removed. Ties grew between Iran and the new Iraq.

The USA accuses Iran of supporting terrorism because they are opposing the USA continued presence in Iraq. Iran school of though was that if USA remains in Iraq successfully, then they can invade Iran in the future.

George Bush label Iran as the axis of evil and they were accused of building atomic weapon. The USA sanctioned them and the Iranians signed an agreement that they will not pursue atomic weapon for 10 years if sanctions were lifted in 2009.

Trump broke the treaty, increased pressure on Iran which led to the current provocations and hullabaloo.

USA has a powerful weapon of the media. The always label opposing minds terrorist and with the current stigma on Islam, it is not hard to convince people. For all of you, Buhari labelled Nnamdi Kanu a terrorist which all of us knew he was not. If the USA suddenly drop a bomb on Nnamdi Kanu due to that pronouncement will you be happy?

Note: I love USA coz they are a great country but sometimes they use their power to oppress the weak. Truly this world politics is like the animal jungle where the powerful oppress the weak.

one of the smart comment I have read on NL.

KUDOS!

I doubt it. Most of the work will be done via the air. Ground troops will only enter Iran after the destruction to mop up. Just like with Iraq by George Bush in early 2000s. The war ended in weeks with capture of Hussein even after all his boasting before the war started.

Seriously. You are comparing 2000 warfare to 2020 warfare.

Just a calculated launch of missile carrying nuke can destroy the whole of New york from far away china not to talk of Iran.

And they are loads of anti aircraft devices now.

I dont pray for the looming war to happen. But when he does happens, trust me they will be casualties from both side soils.

Back in the 40s, World War 2 era, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor (America), killing about 2,000 people (mostly American soldiers). America hit back with an Atomic bomb on Hiroshima and then on Nagasaki, days apart...killing more than 100,000 Japanese people (mostly civilians), wounding hundreds of thousands more, and leaving millions to deal with the after effects of radiation for years.

I don't want to say Americans are bullies, but sometimes they act like bullies, and they go too far with their own retaliations. I just hope Iran doesn't hit them with a nuke cos I have a lot of family in that country.

rightly said the US dropped nuke on japan soil that lead to their surrender. but this is 2020 where various countries now have access to the same nuke.

Iran runs one of the biggest nuclear program in the world that the US has been trying to shut down. one of the reason for the conspiracy for the hostility towards Iran.

the US needed reason to attack and decommision Iran nuclear program, tagging soulemani terrorist is just a decoy.

no country has a monopoly of nuking other countries (third world war countries excluded)

this is 2020 not 1938/1945

Most profitable routes are where every country with saner leaders first provide standard gauge rail lines.

Profits from the profitable routes are then ploughed into building similar rail lines in other places.

Northern Nigeria led by Fulani misappropriated funds into least profitable areas for modern devt projects.
The projects crumble like NITEL.

Northern dictators first built digital telephone exchanges in urban and rural areas of the north. Most business towns in the south were still using analog telephone exchanges.

NITEL CRUMBLED.

I totally agree with your point.
The problem is government runs train service almost at lost as service, maintenance and operational cost exceed the revenue in running it.

They would have to fund that particular routes from proceeds from other sectors.

good God, I enjoy every bit of this thread. some Igbo guys are savages relegating their own brothers in Ebonyi to a nobody just because of their ego and superiority complex. perhaps their migration from the north, a sworn enemy of the whole region could be a factor.

I served with bunch of Igbo guys, 2 from Enugu, 2 from Abia, 4 from Anambra and the last 2 from Ebonyi.

I observed what already happened on this thread. the other Igbo guys sort of backlisted the Ebonyi guys for being naive and unexposed in a subtle and joking way but we all bond together at palmie and beer parlour joints.

I also observed the two Ebonyi guys skin colour. they are totally dark. like those Kenyans' dark (maybe I exaggerate a little) but this people dark like Mohammed that just came from Bauchi. I must add they have this strange "ching chung" language the other Igbo guys didn't understand. only kenneth and James speaks that language and the will just fumed and left their place whenever they started the language.

Back to the real topic, the building is an edifice worth lauding. you might not get the value for it now, but posterity surely will when properly equipped and managed.

If you are wondering which region or state I am from, your guess is as good as mine.

If you are wondering

unfortunately, majority of these people polluting the whole country with miscreants are not educated to even know the damages and tolls it takes on the country.
