Uyo is a beautiful city with great aesthetic beauty to behold. Place is cool and nice and not congested and of course not dirty like lagos.
The interstate travel from the Akwa Ibom govt transport system AKTC is one of the best if not the best in the country.
No dirty tout, hooligans and miscreants on the road fighting for your money on the road like mainland in Lagos.
I wish I could stay there after my service year. |

Oh, I forgot. The rag-tag outfit called Amotekun were here to scatter traders' wares and seize Okada from riders.
Hunger is chasing people out of their homes. Even Iya Kadija, the egbo and ewa seller, decided to cook today. She can't kill herself.
Hausa say; instead of useless hunger to kill man, make man go do useless work then take the money chop.
Should I blame the government? I'm really tempted to but I won't. I've decided long ago to never insult or curse any politician. Instead my insults and curses are directed to anyone who celebrates any politician, or steals even 5naira from public money, or extorts the people.
So If you are a fanatic of any political group, a tribal bigot who would rather see your kinsman at the top or no one, a police, FRSC etc officer who collects 50 naira, a public servant who isn't satisfied with his salary until he steals then my curses are with you. You're the problem of this country. My kind of guy. Well stated. Dont need to add more. |

sarrki: Unpredictability. Do not make the obvious move, and avoid leaving a pattern in your past activities. The enemy should not be able to identify what you will do in the future from what you did in the past. Do not take predictable routes, change your camp position . . . keep the enemy guessing.
Leading By Example. Always be there with your troops (but maybe not always at the front), be observable, and earn the respect of the soldiers by sharing their hardships. Sun Tzu uses various images here to back up his point that the commander is “with the troops.” The first image he gives is of the commander leading the troops up a ladder that is then kicked away, allowing for no return. Alternatively, the army is represented as a great herd of animals moving as one with the leader in the center directing them all in a way that cannot be predicted from the outside. Be with the troops in all dangerous situations, but remain unknown to the enemy.
Responsibility. As leader you must confidently assume responsibility for the whole force. Be at the center of everything and use your troops in the most efficient way with the best results. Robert Green speaking |

mrphysics: @ the emboldened. If you don't have proofs, why not learn from the proofs that have been provided? Or you want to keep holding onto your conspiracy theory hoping it becomes true? Facts has been raised above, you read it and you don't want to believe it because you so much want yours to be true. I read the guy assertion and I laugh at his ignorance. Imagine condemning a theory without any prove to counter it. Where he got the fake news of the chinese destroying their 5G mast is another misinformation. Just like we have fools in Nigeria, they are many foolish people in the colonial masters countries like the idiots in Birmingham. All my days in secondary school to the university, radiations with high ionization energy like alpha particles couple with the fastest of them all gamma rays and hard x-rays are dreaded radiations everybody was scared due to their energy and fast speed. A common radio waves from 5G causing such damage and people fell for it just because one stupid senator and some cunny fraudster pastors bought into the silly conspiracy. |

horlarlorwor: Apology to say these.
Nigeria, are you truly treating COVID-19 or you guys are Malaria?
News from affected countries have not treated any of their patient successfully. Is either they died or under critical condition. Most affected countries still claims of NO VACCINE. How come Nigeria covid 19 patients who were positive were negative again under 7 days. Its seems something is not right. Or will I say patient are diagnosed with 'positive' Malaria.
The likes of Abba Kyari, the real Carrier of the virus is yet to recover from it. Let these doctors treat Kyari same way other patient that tested negative after 7 days.
Please don't quote me wrong. I am not saying the virus is not in Nigeria but I think something is wrong somewhere. If I may ask; 1) what VACCINE did our doctors use to treat the patient. 2) Let the government assist other affected countries with our doctors to show them the way out. Either by sending the doctors to their country or the drug they used to cure the virus. 3) Let the affected countries send in their doctors with 5 each patient to our country for treatment.
This will ascertain our doubting Thomas that the corona virus in Nigeria is truly defeated. It is an open book that hundreds of thousands of people recovered from the virus across europe and China. Nobody is disclosing what they are using as a cure or vaccine. Thats a multi billion dollars in patent for a WHO accepted cure vaccine if patented. Now what every affected countries is doing is clinic trials which are working for now with no luxury of time to actually analyse the efficacy, short and long time side effects of the trials. What they have in common in explanation is boosting the immune system against the virus that later makes it less lethal and consequently returning the victims test as negative. |

before you make that stupid decision.
the US frontliners (the health care givers) are struggling to get PPE. as a doc whether half baked or half done, you should know the meaning of that. Thats like going to war without weapon with an invisible enemy.
A nurse died earlier this morning because he had to use one Mask for a whole week.
Yesterday, they are using trash bag, what you call Nylon as their overall. Governors are outbidding one another to get masks and ventilators.
45 health care givers are dead in Italy already.

wellmax: 11:30pm. Why travel that late.
Some people don't give priority to their safety You are not in their shoe to understand what these guys must have passed through on the road before this unfortunate incident. When I travelled to Akwa-Ibom during my NYSC, i was told the journey is roughly 12hrs. So I bought ticket for the next day and left the park exactly 7am thinking I would get to camp by 7, latest 8pm. Along the road in Ijebu Ode, one of our tyre fly commot. We had to come down and fixed that. The unscrupulous IPob driver who promised he would reach Akwa-ibom stopped all of us@ owerri directing us to where we will get Aba, which is like an hour journey to Akwa Ibom. This was around 5. As first timer in the east, before I could get somebody that will speak pidgin or English for direction to Aba na war. I was doing all of these till 6 before I found bus. Crazy traffic, rain, and check point set up between owerri and Aba took almost 4 hrs jorney. When I got to Aba around 10, I was told the Last bus left. With my last card check up on me, I could not afford a hotel. So I had to wait for the next bus that would return from Aba. The bus finally came around 11pm. Our igbo brothers hike the T.fare by 100%. We sha enter (most passengers are PCM like me). I got to camp by past 12am, Some guys came after I got in. My point: before you judge people, walk in their shoes first. |
