This morning i ended a ride thinking we were almost at destination when rider said we should turn in one street... I click google map: about 3km to go, chai!
Fare showed 1200+, instead of about 1500 at the normal stop. 1.4 boost

I just sent a message about incorrect fare. Within 3 minutes they replied. Stating it was technical error and the remaining fare has been added to my account. I check and smiled.
It can only be Uber

Yesterday i picked a rider from house of Assembly, my DVD player just went off and wouldn't come up again.
I just apologized and told him car would be dead silent till i drop him.
He said he didn't mind, he would watch YouTube. Na so i vex closed by 3pm.

So good i kept the factory fitted 6-loader at home.
Re-installed.

And for everyone that has come to share their stories on the job, am definitely sure the new and upcoming drivers have learned one thing on the other from your story.

This is part of what makes you experienced. They (New & Upcoming) should have learned how to handle such situations if it ever happen to you on the job. Do not abscond, do show up, empathize with the rider and be human.
Although some riders are evil but am definitely sure you would feel better knowing that you apologized for your mistake and leave the rider with his/her conscious for whatever next step he/she takes with regards to the situation.

You also have see why using recommended phone is very advisable. You don’t know who your next rider gonna be.

Yes mistake do happen but please do show up and call the rider to apologize for the mistake. Don’t abscond.

Showing up and apologizing to the rider shows it’s truly a mistake but absconding means you did it intentionally.

Kudos to everyone who has come share their experience we appreciate you and I know upcoming drivers would appreciate this feedback more.

Ok, found myself at admiralty way by taxify office 8.30pm... Request came in. App shows rider was within... I tried to click "Arriving Now" so i would call rider immediately.... Phone wasn't responding... I was sliding continually... I had clicked "Arriving now", "start trip" and "end trip" without knowing... Phone went white blank and came up again. Wtf! - Rate rider ke?
Confusion catch me.... I was panting... What to do... What to do...
To add salt to injury.... It was my Taxify registrer/trainer, staff. Uche himself....

Now i saw him walk out of the building looking for his driver... Then he looked at his app to find out trip was ended already. Card trip.

He walk into the building again...
My phone rang...
"Hello is that Stanley? Oh you started my trip blah blah blah... You are gone, trust me you are gone"
I tried to explain on phone but he wouldn't allow me...
Ok...
Now i went to wait for him... When he comes down...
Me: I am stanley, my app was... "oh no, pls pls pls, that's how u cheat, blah blah blah"
This time another driver had come to pick him....
I just walked to my car, checked my app and saw BLOCKED till 11/10/17. Reasons: customer complaints.
Rating dropped from 4.85 to 4.72
Three weeks? Jesu!

Did uber alone for 1 week.
Called my partner: Bros i like to p!mp my car, mad p!mping oh.
Partner: No problem, God go provide.

(car was in auto center for 2 weeks+)

Resumed like a king. With a mad Samsung.

Happened to be once, the rider was furious and felt I wanted to cheat her. I just asked her where she was going and offered her a free ride.

She was shocked, and was like 'really?'. I got 5 star rating from her and she asked me if she could book me for offline trips and refer her friends too.

One lady has requested me like that before on Taxify. I was hurrying out of Island around 4:30pm when her request came in. Calling her, she told me one long story of how her car is not starting inside Walter Carington, and that I should start the trip and start coming; she wants to use my battery to jumpstart hers. I was already at MUSON, about to climb 3rdMB. I just told her my car brainbox will reset if I disconnect the battery, and drove on.
I could have turned around to help her, but I had a feeling, from her commanding tone, she was one of these "entitled" people who will feel they are doing you a favour

abi o... There is no way a rider can cancel a trip running. Probably the driver canceled in this case...

Driver was supposed to do due diligence on vehicle before signing the dotted lines.

after doing so, vehicle becomes the property of the driver. All the owner is interested in is his weekly payments until debt is paid then the original papers will be handed to him after the agreed time.

Failure to remit within the agreed time, owner collects vehicle and upfront deposit.

I did wheel balance and alignment 3 weeks ago. All. Wheels, now i got 2 new front tyres on on Tuesday . Do i have to do another balance/alignment? (Meanwhile driving seam smooth, no vibration whatsoever)

I don't normally stay out sha... But if it inevitable. On the island i run into a lounge or club. Open my eyes till like 3am. Back to car, set alarm 4.45am with my toy phone, pocket it and nap.
But like 2 occasions. It's on chevron drive....
Down down after ebeano supermarket on ur right.... Uber/taxify drivers park there and sleep. So quiet, dark and safe..

Me i am fast and furious by default. But smooth. Except if road is busy. Picked a rider some time ago at Allen Avenue, Destination was broad street. He was running late for an important meeting(hot afternoon) and wanted me to fly...
I just told him: boss if u can cope with my drifts, swerving and overtaking then we'll get there in the shortest possible time....
His heart was in his mouth till we got there...
2 mins before time.
