My advice. Be your own first mechanic. An experienced driver should be technically inclined about his/her car. Watch them and learn a few things. Then when it's more than what you can handle, call your expert/mechanic/electrician.
The other day i had a flat tire on eko bridge, and i had to call LASTMA and response unit. Cos i couldn't place the jack very well. Now i can change all 4 tires.
About the AC cabinet filter, i saw how my ac man removed it and blew the dirts out. 3 months later, i carefully open where it's located (quite easy) blew the dirts myself. And i will do that again if need be.
6 months ago my kick starter wouldn't kick, just when my riders entered the car... I had to go look for the closest KAZEEM electrician around saka tinubu. I didn't know how he joined wires and started the car, then we drove to his workshop. He tapped the starter several times with a metal and it started. But he said my starter needed some touches.... (i suspect friction or rusts) He took it out and worked on it, then he said i may never encounter that again soon. This morning after cleaning my car, tried to start it, but was hearing this tick tick sound from within. I flashed back! Took a metal from my boot tapped the starter several times and voila! It working till now... And i hope not to go there another six months...
Or was it when the fan stopped working in my uncle's car, i just pressed firmly the connector and it came back to life...
Or is it about brake hydraulic oil lickage.? What to do? Or is it radiator coolant i bought myself and put in our blue car, for just 450...same coolant i bought 2000 at uber inspection center yaba... So many experiences... You have to learn every day.
Pay attention to your car, ask questions... But no go do oversabi....
But if it's beyond what you have experienced or can handle consult people like GAZZUZZ or ur preferred/trusted mechanics....
(Na who send me this plenty epistle sef). Lol.... Cheers! |

thebigkendo: First of all Sorry to disappoint you, am not a mechanic.
AC chills in the morning and evening and not chilling hot afternoon can be caused by 1. Clogged/faulty condenser 2. Weak compressor 3. Shortage of gas: Ideally AC system is a closed system, gas should not short except the system has a leak.. Topping up of the gas will just be a waste of money because it will still leak out and he will be back to square 1..
NB. Clugged filter will not stop AC from cooling on hots days or when car is stationary, it will reduce the overall AC efficiency be it morning afternoon or night. With the symptoms he stated my bet is on either NO 1 and/or 2 And it is not advisable to top up gas, It could actually cause more problems in the AC system. yea... A healthy car AC shouldn't leak out gas and should last for up 2 years when fixed and gas refilled. According to my AC guy sha... I replaced ur no. 1 and 2 and i was delivered |

entparrot: The same thing happens to AC in the house, those AC people will lie to you, something wrong, nothing is wrong, is only the air filter that is dirty, clean it regularly,
And you will enjoy your AC. True... The blue corolla on my profile... We just change the the filter and it's chilling like a freezer |

But since you took time to complain to uber they just felt ur grief and dashed you 200. I have been give N90 before on a similar situation... I guess you were expecting them to adjust it to 2500 huh?
