Most times to browse with your airtime or data plan is very difficult. Say what you may, MTN is still fine in that aspect, even though I don't like them! |
I used Glo G-BAM, and most times they deduct N5 daily rental charge without crediting the MB. If I call the customer service, the say their engineers are working that I should call back. I've ignored them. |
Chidera Favour: @op, wht of som1 dt studied any course in education lik pol. sci. Edu., economics edu., etc wht is d person's faith?LOL. Is he the minister of Labour? |
It may sound funny, but coffin-making is very lucrative, especially in Nigeria where human life is lifeless. |
In Nigeria, two things are involved: GOD'S FAVOUR AND WHO YOU KNOW. My secondary school biology teacher is now a bank manager. |
Willy4Willy: OPC, OPC, OPC.This guy is unbelievable! |
komek: I was typing from a phone on my way to work while driving. So I could not edit my write up. But if you feel you can't read my stuff, i believe they should be transformers around your area, trying hugging one of them. Stupid pyrate follower. You are beyond redemption! |
maskid: There are some stupid people in this world. You just helped me realize itYour posts are usually pointless and mono-paragraphed. Can't you be more sensible, or at least compose further? |
Giddyprance: Wole can be referred to as anything but not a local champion.the day ur father is given an opportunity to speak or raise his hand in the kind of audience that Wole can address,i'm sure ur whole family would kill a fowl 4 dat.As in eh!? Damn! |
No nation can rise above the level of it's teachers. NUC and the Ministry of Education should read these posts, review the curricula and lay emphasis on grammar and civic education. . . I didn't think I'd be alive when people will choose Abacha over Soyinka! God forbid! And ASUU should call-off this damn strike so that the number of silly comments here will reduce. |
slimghost: Soyinka is becoming famous for trading words with women. Shame on him!How many women? He just spoke on the First Lady's excesses and Abacha's kid capitalized on the moment to project her existence. |
kachi04: Wole Soyinka, wole soyinka, wole soyinka. How many times did i call u... Ur carrier go soon finishThe carrier of his bicycle or what? If Abacha's loot had been invested in the education sector, perhaps a miracle may have happened in your brain. |
komek: Bro, u are right on point. I have always ask pple people what's the hype about this Wole Shoyinka guy. Becous he won Nobel whatever? What has the so called price done for Nigeria? If our Education system is working fine, this is a price anyother interested person could still win. Some tribes with their stupid respect even when their ward is doing the wrong thing. Is he the only one who have won this same price in the world? How come we don't hear the other winners disrespect the authority and speak rubbish cos they won a price. Abeg Wole should respect himsef and seat in his house. Even MANDIBA himsef that spent 27yrs in prison just to make sure apartheid rule ends in South Africa, never took his country and their leadership for granted. Wole abeg take ur price and seat your house , becouse I have nver had regard for u.Your use of English is despicable! It's no wonder you don't regard Soyinka. |
Heck! People even follow Abacha's daughter on Twitter!? PHEW! There really was a country! |
All hail technology! Children of thieves and murderers can now hide behind devices they don't understand and insult a man they can't understand! Rubbish! The shameless girl has rode the ever accommodating back of Soyinka and into public reckoning! Who knew this blood-money-trained, prosthetic-brained ram before now? If this country was the way it should be, your family would have made the Guiness book of records as the family with the largest number of prisoners in the world. |
For the kids who say the prof is only good in literature: Soyinka participated in the Niger-Delta peace talks. The fact that the Niger-Delta dudes chose him over their own people says a lot about the man's charisma and greatness. Soyinka has fought and spoken against political oppression and abuse of power in Africa and also took part in peace-talks in one or two African countries. He wrote and spoke against bad governments, go and his play, A Play of Giants. These are the ways he has affected politics, unless you want him to take up arms! Was Soyinka imprisoned by Gowon because of his literature? NO! It was because of his stand on politics and his percieved support of Biafra and Ojukwu! Is that literature? Go and read his The Man Died, before you expose the akamu you have as brain. Whatever you people say, Soyinka -- dead or alive -- is a good, worthy, respected ambassador of Africa than the entire generation of Abacha, dead, alive and unborn! When he eventually dies, eagles will gather, and not vultures! |
Omen100: you know that's funny right, but on a most serious note, Afam4ever needs to be shot in the head.LOL! What did Afam do na? |
It appears she isn't happy that one of her 'boys' nearly won the 'African Booker', hence she downgraded the guy and, not fully expending the frustration in her, further wrote-off the prize. What a pity! |
Mature reply by Elnathan John. Now, I hope he, along with other 'siblings' of his, crawl out of their mother's(Adichie) shadow and take a bold, independent step into the jungle of literary prominence. |
homesteady: You might be right!! I'm not really into African literature!!Do you know that Africa is bigger than Nigeria? What are you guys on about? Ben Okri, Emecheta, Okey Ndibe, Chika Unigwe, Maik Nwosu, Chris Abani, etc, are all 'sweet' writers! Have you read a paragraph of anything from E. C. Osondu or Ikhide Ikheloa? Na wa for una o! |
JIGHU: no she does not...are you a learner? She is the best thing after Soyinka and AchebeI wanted to say that you don't know Nigerian literature, but I realized that your opinion is your entitlement. Adichie is good, no doubt, but you don't mention her in the same sentence with the surreal Soyinka or the pre-gifted Achebe. Not yet. And you forget (or are not aware maybe) of the generation of Buchi Emecheta or Flora Nwapa? Joys of Motherhood and Efuru, I dare say, are much deeper, engaging and richer than Adichie's works, so far. Purple Hibiscus is good, but that's all. It's nothing exceptional. I rate Kaine Agary's Yellow Yellow above it. Please, take time to read other great Nigerian writers, not just the hyped or favoured ones. |
Pointless thread! |
She 'speaks' more from her spokesman these days. . . I want it raw, from the horse's mouth! |
chidindufrank: If you can't train your kid the best thing is to find a foster mother for him or her. The old woman is too wicked. They should burn her hand too.Or her brea5t. |
This is nothing compared to my fellow widows. . . |
It's OK for US to carry out genocide in the name of 'world peace', but it's unbearable for Nigeria to host Sudan's president. . . This is pot calling charcoal black! |
mactoni91: ARE U FEELING BORED?U mad, bro? |
Damn! My family and friends!? |
These yeye 'Big Men' sef. If you hire professionals to do a job, give them space to do it, for goodness sake! Hot FM Owerri once cut-off it's owner, Sen. Chris Anyanwu's call, for using more time than alloted to her during a phone-in programme. |
Una nor dey tire. Isnt there a picture of a policeman guarding a chinese national, nothing is wrong with that but something is wrong with policemen guarding fellow nigerians?
Do you even get the koko of the story? Security was withdrawn from a constitutionally recognized governor and assigned to someone who is not recognized by even a line of the constitution! |
GEJ is stooping to an entirely new level of low by using the resources of government to advance his selfish interests and the asinine inclinations of his wife. His apparent inability to effectively control his wife's excesses speaks so much about his ability to sherperd the country. |
Yet they complain about low university enrollment. . .who wants to spend a minimum of 4 years in the university and beg for a job that can't even take care of his immediate need? |
