Queen Silekunola moronke ogunwusi, wife of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has trashed rumours making the round about the crash of her marriage to the Monarch.

According to the Prophetess who addressed the rumours on her Instagram page, this isn’t a time she is supposed to be on social media, but she had to address it.

The 27-year-old queen begged her followers to disregard and jettison every fake and malicious news about her and her husband, as no earthly force is strong enough to break their love.

“There have been strange rumours and unfounded news making rounds on social media in recent times.I want all believers of good news to know that, it is all lies and a picture of how the peddlers of the evil news would have loved our love story to turn out. I would have loved to maintain silence, however, due to concerns being expressed by well meaning people something has to be said. Now, the gospel truth is that I have been busy with ministry off the social media space and you’d all agree with me that with the ongoing pandemic which suddenly sprung up on all of us, only means more work needs to be done. I can’t sit still (as nobody privileged enough should) and this isn’t a time for social media presence but a time that calls for solemnity. Hence my break from what people now call normal. Finally, as duty will have me do, I have been in and out of the palace doing Gods bidding.With all being said, I am compelled to ask the following questions :

Why can’t people verify that which is the truth ?

Why do people believe more in falsehood and negativity?

Well, the bible has something to say about them in Psalm 2:1-12. Controversial prophet, Chukwuemeka Odumeje prophesies death to a lady in Church and she bursted into tears.

The popular prophet called out the lady to the alter for prayers, and while praying, he prophesied that she must die on her birthday month.

After several reports that Chinese having been maltreating foreigners over coronavirus pandemic, a lady has shared how she was allegedly kicked out of a Chinese restaurant for being a foreigner while her family who are Chinese are allowed to eat inside.



Apparently, the lady who was kicked outside the restaurant had children with a Chinese man and they were allowed to sit inside the restaurant and enjoy their meal while she was sent out to sit beside the thrash.

According to her, a sitting area was later created for her away from the thrash, still outside the restaurant but now she could see her family. She claims she was also given a bowl where her food was served.

Popular singer, Salawa Abeni, became a trending topic online during the week when she released some semi-nude pictures of herself on Instagram. She did this after an individual identified as Jason had attempted to blackmail her with the photos. Jason had sent her the photos on WhatsApp, threatening to release more to the public if Abeni didn’t pay him. However, in a bid to thwart his attempts, the musician released the photos herself.

On what gave her the courage to release the pictures herself on social media, Abeni told Saturday Beats, “Firstly, I am not a child. I cannot even recall where that photo was taken. I’m not sure whether I was even in the hospital or with my partner. It must have been taken more than 20 years ago. I’ll be 60 next year and I have spent 46 years on stage, so for anyone to decide to blackmail me in this critical time when the world is on lockdown, battling the coronavirus pandemic; that is bad. So, since the person threatened to release the photo, I decided to ‘help’ him by posting the photo online myself.

“Whenever I travel abroad, I am treated importantly. So, why should someone be threatening me with blackmail in my own country? He was asking me to negotiate with him; that after I made the payment, he would make a video of himself burning the pictures. I put all the conversation we had online.

“Is nudity that sacred? I gave birth four times and I exposed my unclothedness to the doctors and nurses at those times. There was nothing for me to be scared of. I have God and people behind me.

Salawa noted that she was overwhelmed with the support she had got from Nigerians. She said, “I don’t even know how to thank Nigerians and people from across the world. I always knew that people loved Salawa but I didn’t know it was this much. Since the time I put the picture online, people have been calling me non-stop. People have been cursing the person and calling him on my behalf. Many people regard me as a legend and they felt I shouldn’t be treated that way. On my Instagram page, I had over 1,000 comments.”

On whether the blackmailer had contacted her after she put the pictures online, the Waka exponent said, “If you were the one, would you have contacted me after what I did? He doesn’t even pick his calls anymore because a lot of people have been calling him. If you call the number, it is identified as ‘Scammer’ by a popular caller identifying App.”

On whether she had made a report to the police, Abeni said, “I have made a complaint to the police and they are working on it at the moment. I am confident that the Nigeria Police will arrest him. Even before I made a formal report to the police, some people had reported the case on my behalf.”

Salawa also said she wasn’t ruling out the fact that an insider could have leaked the photos to the blackmailer. She added, “It is said that if the enemy within does not get one, the one outside cannot get one. We should only pray that God should save us from those watching us that we are not aware of. I am a human being and I am entitled to my privacy.”

Lending some words of advice to other entertainers that could be in similar situations in the future, the ‘Orin Tuntun’ singer said, “People stood up for me and that further strengthened me. Anybody who is faced with such situation should go public about it so people can rally round them to fight the ‘enemy’. It could happen to a man or woman. Things like this have happened in the past and it will likely continue to happen.”

Son of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, known as Mohammed Abubakar, speaks from hospital, as he battles coronavirus

Mr Abubakar spoke in a video he made at the Abuja University Teaching Hospital where he is being treated since he was diagnosed with the virus almost two weeks ago.

He is the first confirmed infected person in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where confirmed cases have now risen to 35. Nigeria so far has a total of 174 infected people.

Hours after the former vice president confirmed on March 22 that his son tested positive, several speculations emerged online.

It was alleged that the patient had refused to oblige with the worldwide advisory of self-quarantine after returning from a European country.

It was also reported that Mr Abubakar had visited a night club in Abuja and attended Juma’at prayers on Friday before he was announced as a confirmed case.

The former vice president had dispelled such claims as ‘perfidious information’. His media aide, Paul Ibe, had said the patient wore a face mask as a precautionary measure since his arrival in Nigeria and that “he voluntarily placed a call to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), seeking to be tested”.

Atiku Abubakar on Thursday shared a video on his Twitter handle showing his son wearing a face mask.

Mr Abubakar said he was still at the Abuja isolation centre in Gwagwalada. SleekGist reports.

In the five minutes 39 seconds video, he advised Nigerians against spreading false information about sufferers of Covid-19. He also shared his experience so far in the battle against the dreaded virus.

Abdulmumuni Danga, Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, has been accused of brutalizing a lady for calling him out on Facebook, according to SaharaReporters.

According to the lady, identified as Elizabeth, she had urged the commissioner on Facebook to assist his sister and family financially.

The post reportedly did not go down well with Danga, who hired thugs to kidnap Elizabeth from her home with her three-year-old son.

Speaking with SaharaReporters, Elizabeth said she decided to make the post following series of complaints by the commissioner’s sister to her.

She said, “I saw a post by a local comedian of the commissioner sharing food and his family are complaining that he doesn’t attend to them, that was why I made the post.

“On the 29th of March, I made a post about the commissioner. Facebook Post




“After making the post, they started attacking me on social media and he sent some guys to come and get me.

“On getting to me, they flogged me. He flogged me himself, stripped me naked and made a video of me threatening to post it when next I make any public comment about it. 

“They also made me apologise that what I said about him was not true under duress. I had to do so because they were all over me.

“The commissioner also smashed my phone and destroyed it totally, saying that maybe I might have been recording what was happening or I have been recording before getting there.”

In a video of the apology sighted by SaharaReporters, it could be seen that Elizabeth and the commissioner's sister were both teary while being recorded.




Narrating how the commissioner raped her, Elizabeth said that he held her captive and took her to a hotel at night where he forcefully had sex with her.


“He did not release me and took me to a hotel nearby. Over the night, he made advances and raped me." 

Leading the demand for justice for the victim is Dorothy Njemanze, a rights advocate.

She said that a coalition of human rights organisations had been set-up to ensure that the victim gets justice and duly compensated.

She also called for the immediate suspension of the commissioner from the cabinet of the Kogi State governor.

She said, “The lady was brutalised and was also sexually violated before released the next day. We are going all out for justice."

The commissioner was not available for comments at the time this report was published as calls placed to his mobile lines went unanswered.
