PoliticsRe: Aviation Ministry Confirms N255m Vehicles Purchase For Oduah by Slizbeat(m): 11:27am On Oct 17, 2013
I am still watching. Have seen the comments so far and that shows the level of y'all stupidity.

In the face of a commited crime with no ending point yet, y'all still be in support or against when the final truth is not yet out. Very soon, the table will turn and the other party will have a field day.

Word of Advice- Don't jump quickly to condemn or defend anything until the final truth is out. Like I always say, "THE JUST WILL ALWAYS BE VINDICATED".

Oduah, No matter how it be, you have made your mark but I have an advice for you: "Never be afraid to die". Only performers are wanted dead in the present day Nigeria as long as the others don't make a dime from the good work.

ilugunboy: If you can remove sentiment out of it....and see the issues dispassionately ....you will see the merits in Tinubu's position.

GEJ just don't have the antecedent nor the political will for a SNC...

Only time will tell.
SNC implies the president to step down and debates will begin. How do you think he will step down??

BTW, What am in support of is an "ETHNIC CONFERENCE" where every ethnic group will send a representative to speak on their behalf and table their intentions before the panel.

Like I do say "The just will always be vindicated"

Sagamite would always quote me and say those abusive words, likewise one engineer of a person but I will never relent in keeping it clean.

You shall all see the truth but that will be when you are all exposed, by then you will want everything to be covered up but it will be too too late.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba, Igbo Mistrust Cause Of Underdevelopment- Adebanjo by Slizbeat(m): 8:23am On Oct 16, 2013
We igbos have no problem with the Yorubas. The only problem we have with them is that "they fail to understand that the North is not friendly indeed". They keep on allying with the North and getting stabbed always but are yet to discover the true cause of their problems. If they would stand up against the North for a Southern president(Be it Yoruba, Igbo or Ijaw e.t.c) until 40 years time or agree to peaceful succession, then they have our backing. It's high time we all fight for a single course.

PoliticsOne Month To Election: Anambra Online Pre-voting. by Slizbeat(op): 7:52am On Oct 16, 2013
I just thought of creating this topic as today the 16th of October marks One month(31 days) to Anambra gubernatorial election.

Here I decided to list the major contenders in the race to know which candidate is most preferred by the online indigene of Anambra state.

Note- This exercise does not guarantee any candidate that he may win as most people who votes here may not vote come November 16th.

Procedure for Voting.
All you have to do is hit the like button for your preferred candidate. If you have any thing to add, you might as well quote the candidate you are in support of and state reasons why and what the state stands to gain(If you know).

Caution- Please no use of abusive words to defend your choice or counter one's choice. Lets keep it cool and calm.

PoliticsRe: Igbo Presidency 2015 Or 2019 : A Lesson In Zero Strategy by Slizbeat(m): 10:05pm On Oct 15, 2013
An when has election winning in Nigeria been based on strategy??

As far as I am concerned, We igbos don't need any presidential post for now, we have got better things to do than that. When we are ready, you will all be taken by surprise due to what you will experience in the south east.

I repeat, we don't need it now, if we get it when we want, just know it wasn't by mistake or compensation.
PoliticsRe: Minister Forced Aviation Agency To Spend $1.6 M On Two BMW Armoured Cars(Pics) by Slizbeat(m):
All efforts to discredit the minister and pull her down indeed exposes them the more.

The first time it was incompetence on not securing the airspace which happens to be the Job of NCAA.

Now it is possession of $1.6 million BWM from whose visible documents could not implicate her thus exposing the NCAA.

We are watching........................No weapon fashioned against the just and innocent shall prosper, even political powers can not implicate an innocent person in a crime he/she did not commit.
CelebritiesPeter Okoye, Lola Omotayo Pick Wedding Date. by Slizbeat(op): 2:00pm On Oct 14, 2013
Barely few months after he proposed to his
baby mama,Lola Omotayo, Peter Okoye, one of
the singing sensational duo, Psquare has taken
a step further by picking a date for their
traditional marriage.

A source close to the couple disclosed that their
traditional marriage is billed to hold on Sunday,
November 17, at Arc Events Center on the Lagos island. The date for the white wedding is yet to
be fixed.

Confirming the development, Psquare publicist,
Bayo Adetu said, “It’s true, Peter Okoye and Lola
Omotayo will be having their traditional
marriage ceremony on the 17th of November,
2013.”

However, with this development, Peter has
joined the long list of celebrities who wedded
this year. Meanwhile, arrangements are on top
gear as Peter is leaving no stone unturned to
make the day a memorable one.

It would be recalled that Peter Okye proposed to
his girlfriend, Lola in a grand style, presenting
her with a brand new Range Rover Evoque,
bouquet of flowers, a hand written sign and a
stunning diamond ring. He later got a deserving
‘Yes’ from Lola who already had two children for
him, Cameron and Aliona.

Oh Yes! it's true. He is my Igwe. He died yesterday and I can confirm it. The last time we talked, I invited him to my sister's traditional marriage but he was not going to be in attendance due to Igwes Conference.

He was such a humble man and was duly elected after a battle with Big Ben for the title. But thank God they all accepted the outcome in good faith. Big ben was present at the marriage though, the guy looks like pete Edochie.

TravelRe: Confession Of A Nigerian Pilot -“White People Should Manage Airlines In Nigeria” by Slizbeat(m): 6:11pm On Oct 12, 2013
I don't agree with what he said at all. Must Whites do everything for us?? I personally am going to study aeronautical engineering in school but due to lack of facilities in our country at the moment, I had to opt in for anything until I could finally get there.

I know myself and I can never put the lifes of people in danger just because I need money. I have been through worst cases in life and the best I do is to quite the job if my employer wants me to do something against my own wish.

The problem here is not the Industry but the airline managers who do not comply with safety rules being placed upon them by the appropriate authorities. Ofcourse, these authorities will not go about checking every plane before take off as the airline management is to do so. Please let us imbibe that attitude of complying to every safety rules so as not to cry later on the kind of disaster which will occur due to not complying.

If we keep placing people above us and saying they are better off, then we are just being racist and shouldn't be angry when treated as such.

Now I really believe and agree with those that say FFK is a bitter fellow, it just keeps coming no matter how hard they try to cover him up. Gosh, He is an irresponsible waste product, disgusting.

How can a man in his age and strata be vomiting unguided words whether directly or indirectly. Something he could easily discuss with the person involved.

Ola Johnson: Common sense should, if you permit it, tell you that when there is a crash you don't blame the airport authority but the aviatio ministry. I can see that you are blaming the MMIA, Lagos and holding the AII, Enugu in high esteem.
In as much as I said the airport needed a total overhaul, is it not enough to see that the aviation ministry is faulted by that post also?? Come on, forget that thing. I analysed a problem and at the same gave a possible solution I feel is gonna help out to me. The Runways may be bad due to excessive use and no maintenance. Only the present ministry had renovated the entire airports but still it will continue until the amount of aircrafts leaving the airport on a daily basis reduces. Transfer sone airlines to be taking off from abj, port, akwa-ibom nd d likes n u will see wat am tryn to pass across.
Politics20 Killed As Boko Haram, Troops Clash In Mosque by Slizbeat(op): 12:37pm On Oct 07, 2013
MAIDUGURI (AFP) – Boko Haram Islamists
claimed five lives in an attack on a mosque in
northeast Nigeria over the weekend, before
being repulsed by soldiers who killed 15 of the
insurgents, the military said in a statement
Sunday.

The latest attack by the extremist group, which
has been waging an insurgency since 2009,
struck on Saturday morning at Damboa town in
Borno state, the group’s stronghold.

“The terrorists… attacked worshippers in a
mosque and killed five of them who came to
perform their morning prayers,” said the
military’s statement quoting captain Aliyu
Ibrahim Danja, army spokesman for the region.
“They also set ablaze the official residence and
palace of the District Head along with some
shops.
“While they were unleashing their mayhem,
troops under 7 Division engaged the terrorists,
killing 15 in the process while others fled in
disarray.”

Borno was placed under a state of emergency in
mid-May, when the military shut down the
mobile phone network to block Islamists from
coordinating attacks in an operation aimed at
crushing the insurgency.
With the communication network switched off,
details of attacks have been slow to emerge and
difficult to verify.

Boko Haram has said it is fighting to create an
Islamic state in northern Nigeria, but its aims
have shifted and the group is believed to consist
of different factions.

The group has attacked churches, mosques,
schools, newspaper offices, the security forces,
politicians and a UN building, among other
targets.

The Boko Haram conflict is estimated to have
cost more than 3,600 lives since 2009, including
killings by the security forces, who have been
accused of major abuses.
