The thing here is what kind of appointment was she given? What is her qualification? Since we have to be doing things based on merit and not compensation, I don't see any reason why an appointment should be added cos it's just a political point he is trying to score except her appointment is that which does not require any qualification. In all, remain blessed Mrs. Joy. |
I got same message too. Here is the Belgium embassy address: 9 Usuma street, maitama, Abuja. Tel: 09-4131859-62 E-mail: abuja@diplobel.org |
I don't see why Ihejirika should resign over the bombing of an airforce base and not an army barrack. B4 then, what happened to Dele Ezeoba(chief of naval staff)?? The last current affairs I read last week did not state him again. Was it a mistake or is he dismissed?? I recalled a certain time when the North was complaining of the Igbos dominating the military early this year. Is this not a way of cleansing them from the military so as to replace the competent with the illiterate just to control the army in time of disintegration?? |
Lwkmd....abeg oo. it's still working oo. Just did the 2gb nw and am enjoying it. |
He wouldn't even win. I will prefer a Sambo over a Tambuwal. |
I already knew that Hausas are not the largest ethnic group. I was at jigawa in 2006 when the census was conducted and I was counted but my state of Origin wasn't asked. I assume they counted me under the aegis of the Hausa-fulani ethnic group. Let's tell ourselves the truth, Every ethnic group in Nigeria are being under counted to favour the hausas. Niger(Country) has the largest number of the hausa ethnic group and hausas are not upto 15 million in Nigeria since they claim to be found in 10 west African countries and some few east African countries and over 1 million in Saudi Arabia. Yoruba ethnic group is found in 3-5 countries across west Africa and Nigeria has the largest amount of them and I may authoritatively say they maybe the largest but lets check the last major ethnic group- the Igbos. The Igbos are found only in Nigeria's former eastern region(not all Easterners as at then were Igbos) as Wikipedia would state but as at 2011, Wikipedia stated they are found in 3-4 west african countries and a few American countries along the Caribbean. But lemme make use of the present 1 country. The Igbos yet are still found in every nooks and cronies of Nigeria in a considerable large amount ranging from Anambra-Imo...........to Borno-Sokoto-Lagos...... With this, we can see that either the Yorubas or the Igbos are the largest ethnic group in Nigeria. If we have to remove all other countries Hausa and Yoruba population, then no doubt the Igbos will be the largest. But counting all ethnic groups with their respective population outside Nigeria, the Yoruba will be second and Hausa-fulani first. Note- hausa-fulani is the largest and not the hausa alone on the basis of say "both in and outside Nigeria" and not HAUSA. |
Orlando Owoh: This has exposed the lie of Goodluck Jonathan who said on 1/10/2012 that Nigeria was ranked second after the United States by the Transperency International in the fight against corruption.Fight against corruption is different from corruption index. Whereas one ranks you according to the dedication you have in fighting corruption, the other ranks you according to the present level of corruption in the system ranging from politicians to public servants and all citizens. |
Right from day 1, I knew his impeachment was political motivated by his Executive under the pretence of accusing him wrongly for what wasn't true. Only under Okorocha's government have I heard an Executive openly canvassing for the impeachment of his deputy after wrongfully accusing him of receiving bribe of almost 480million naira on a contract. Well, lets see what happens next. |
We are hereby suing Herald newspaper for alleged copying without the copyright permit from Symphony007, our online brother on nairaland(even though we no dey agree at times) and also Osun defenders newspaper for quack newspaperism and journalism for not verifying the source of the news they also copied before posting to the entire news media.Signed.... For the past 9 months, I have not received 20% of any of my recharges....instead they give me instantly to use for a week. Recharged 2000 and received 2000 extra for a week(not for international calls) and expecting me to finish it before a week?? like say I dey run call centre. |
The fight for corruption is really increasing. Gone are the days when politics is being played out on performances just because a few greedy politicians don't make anything as to what they make during the past administrations. This administration turned the table round and all enemies of progress are busy trying hard to see the country don't move forward. I pity the followers and supporters of those people instead....they are being deceived with "Vote personality and not Party" when it's obvious that the party controls its candidate and more so, when election comes, you don't thumbprint Buhari or Jonathan instead you thumbprint APC or PDP. |
sunnyprof: This case is worse to dabble into but very interesting. You cannot give hope to one that he will make heaven. Preach and teach the word and speak for yourself. The fact that you trained a child not to steal doesn't mean he will not indirect or directly steal when he faces the true life he has to live. |
bigdidi: de bible says "my pple perish cos of lake of Knowledge" let me educate you so dat u understand- PURGATORY IS NOT A PLACE- LYK HEAVEN AND HELL- it's simply a state 4 de purification of de soul afta 1 dies.. Now, u cannot ask God to have mercy on a soul in heaven and u cant pray 4 a soul which is in hell right? Why den to pastors in oda churches pray at funerals asking God to have mercy on a soul? Wat he's saying dey is "God have mercy on de soul in de state of purgatory". call dat state wat u may- de Catholics call dat state purgatory. You are a true Catholic. Never lose that faith. Indeed people perish for lack of knowledge. If they don't believe in intercession, then they should never tell a pastor to pray for them cos he is directly interceding on their behalf to God. |
I just have one thing to correct and that thing is the true meaning of Purgatory. One can not make heaven except he is pure in soul and spirit and mind you, as soon as you are being born of a woman/man union and become human, your soul is never pure again neither is your heart. Purgatory is the period when your soul will be made pure before entering the kingdom. It is a period of Purification of one's soul not just for some people but to me, for everyone. Only Jesus Christ was of a pure soul because he wasn't conceived through any sexual intercourse but of the holy spirit. Mary was privileged to be pure through Christ whom she conceived and was then full of the holy spirit. There were many virgins in the world when Christ was to be born but God searched all and saw only Mary worthy to be adorned with such privilege and she never relented to what she had been told. Christ was fed in her womb through the holy spirit and his blood is of her blood. She carried the holy spirit(through christ) in her womb for a period of 9 months. That alone is one major reason why we regard her. Irrespective of all these, there is no Catholic that worship her and when we celebrate the mass, the only time she is mentioned is when we conclude our prayer and ask for intercession. Let it be known to all that being a Catholic or Protestant is not an automatic ticket to heaven but what makes one worthy to make heaven is through obeying the commandments of God and being baptised to break the bond which stands between you and God during your birth due to your conception. |
Lemme categorically analyze the question and reply with my own opinion. Why do yorubas resent APGA?--- Simple Answer- Starting from 1960 till date, The yorubas always had this strong resentment for anything borne outside the yoruba race. Zik formed NCNC and likewise Awo formed SDP or AC(can't really remember). Zik won in the SW under NCNC but Awo denied him the privilege to serve. Awo's SDP/AC protested against NCNC's dominance in the Nigeria politics and tagged themselves the major opposition to bring the party down. Today, APGA is a party borne out of Ojukwu and remember the controversy between Ojukwu and Awo over the Starvation policy used during the war. Whether through brainwash or mere talks, whatever the grandfather says to the child is what the child grows up to believe cos he wasn't there when it happened. So in all, Yorubas resent APGA due to its founding father Ojukwu and the Awo controversy. Why Igbos resent APC??---- Simple answer-- The Party APC is made upof CPC, ACN, and ANPP. ACN having it's founding father to be a Westerner, CPC&ANPP having theirs to be a Northerner is a major resentment to the people of the SE due to the starvation policy imposed of them during the Civil war and the senseless killing and non-protection of its indigenes up North. They see APC as a colonial party that will most likely turn them to slaves if they allow them rule over them as they have being doing in the years past. Again, their own Zik won in the SW and was denied service and he never protested against any form of dominance against other's progress neither did he fuse over his service denial. But the APC always fuse over losing calling it not free and fair and inturn incites violence(check out CPC reaction to losing 2011) I hope with these few points, some people will be able to see that it is beyond resentment or no structure but something more deeper than what you can't understand. |
Political kid is what the OP is, no offence meant. So you think APC controlling the two most richest states in Nigeria will make them win 2015?? How powerful do you think they are as to mobilize voters for the party as at this present Nigeria without Rigging?? The true voters will follow you to make noise both on ground and on media and collect the campaign money too but when time for thumb-printing, they will do their chioce. Wait for 2015 and please don't shout "election was not free and fair" when you lose. |
Truth of the matter is that it is agood development only if they had started it in 2011 or better still wait till after 2019 whereby it will be now constitutionally right for the next president elect to go for a single tenure of 6years after which he/she can not be eligible for another. As at now, am not in support of it. |
Usbeel, you have being beating around the bush. Answer the damn questions. My interest is on the airport you mentioned. So since you don't expect a passenger at Yobe to travel to Enugu to board a plane, then how do you think a passenger at Enugu should travel to Kano to board a plane either? Again, what proof do you have to show that Jonathan is the worst president ever and is Nigeria's problem? |
I only wished 2016 census could come before 2015 election so that the ghost voters up North will be exposed for Nigerians to know how the North has being using ghost counts to brainwash us that they are greater in number. Well, 2015 is "today next year and 31 days" from now. |
I only know a few sha. My senatorial district is Anambra central. My Senator is Sen. Chris Ngige(R.I.P politically) My ward is Awka-etiti ward 1 That's all I know. |
Sincere 9gerian: Sincere 9gerian is almost always RIGHT. Check out the history:Yes, you tried alot.......hardwork pays. |
He might be relevant only in the APC as a party member or a chieftain in the SE region but I don't think he will be able to be relevant in Nigerian politics especially as he cannot run for gubernatorial election in any other state apart from his home state. |
owolabifunke14: Igboman sense, you want to impose your brother on us?APC is not a good party, labour party is the obly alternativeY can't you guys understand the aspect to which he is portraying? Is only a way to add pain to Ngige's wound and not meaning it. Read between the lines again. |
We all know how it will go down in the years to come. I never though PDP was best and APC even better They are all after fighting each other and therefore has no interest in the masses standard of living. In all, 2015 will be tagged "The battle for Aso rock"- courtesy of Nollywood. |

Not a time to compare governors now but truth be told, Obi has won it all. Osho is just too heartless, he has done such a couple of times not necessarily a widow but Edo indigenes and I don't like such acts. Pray he begins to reconsider his stance on the kind of government he wants to run in Edo....just my 2cents though. |
All Progressives grand alliance(APGA) is the only progressive party in Nigeria. All others are fake starting from the Congress for progressive change(CPC). Obi had always being the best governor to me in the present day Nigeria though he is not a saint either and must be investigated when he leaves office. Yet, one thing I have learned from him is "Never start a project when you don't have the resources to finish it" He earlier said at a time that he was saving Anambra's money and will account for them when he leaves office which I think he is already trying to. He is the only governor who believes all sectors can run concurrently even if it takes 10 years to attain stability at the same time. The only governor whose policy is for the good of the average masses and not just a favour for the rich. The only governor who went into politics with a clean heart and still maintains the stand and made sure money never separated him from his God. The only governor who will retire as a politician come 2014 as he has stated earlier. Thumbs up Obi Long live Anambra and Ndigbo. |
Well, to me it goes this way..... In terms of Indigenes 1. Anambra 2. Imo 3. Enugu 4. Abia 5. Ebonyi In terms of Diaspora.... 1. Anambra 2. Imo 3. Enugu 4. Abia 5. Ebonyi In terms of all living citizens of Nigeria as at date... 1. Anambra 2. Imo 3. Enugu 4. Abia 5. Ebonyi In all, my conclusion is that Anambra by far is the most populous state in the S.E in all ramification and permit me to say it still is the most populous in the whole of Nigeria in terms of "State of Origin"(though I maybe wrong) |
She was expecting my call but I rather didn't call which made her Angry...... |
Even though I like all of Obi's policy, I am beginning to think he is going too fast on this particular event....that's just my opinion. Nevertheless, my liking him doesn't stop me from supporting his Investigation by EFCC when he steps down. Infact, it should be included in the constitution that all Ex officials should be investigated and probed at the end of their tenure. My own views. |
mapet: @ Slizbeat,So if it's just a complementary study aid, it means the state still spends over the 8billion naira on textbooks and not save as it's been claimed?? |
Aregbesola....Why didn't you provide for the teachers first na?? How then were the students studying?? Well, too late to start complaining, just finish what you have started but then I ask, what if a student breaks the screen of his/her own Opon Imo, what are the solutions?? And are they allowed to take it home?? If No, how are they going to be reading on their own(In the case where they used to have textbooks) Again, is the Opon imo a total eradication of the use of textbooks?? |
