From page 1 you'll see you need a reference letter from the bank with specific details. The extra letters are part of the details just that they are different documents. I believe it is better to err on the side of surplusage and let them choose and use their discretion, instead of coming up short of the requirements. Also, the bank statement of the Donor for a gift deed is not required that is why the Donee's statement is required to highlight the transaction. My humble opinion.
Then I guess we all do what gives us peace. I used just TD letter, it had everything they want, the amount, a financial institution, phone numbers and email with which they can verify authenticity, in addition to my pension reference letter and statement.
My application is in OVO, I have passed Eligibility, criminality and medical, only security outstanding for me.

I have the same issue, went to the bank (first bank) with the format and everything, asked two different staff on different days and they said there's nothing they can do, that's their policy. That they won't give out a letter with such info, I can only attach my bank statement to the letter. So I accepted the reference letter like that, asked for letter of non-indebtedness as which I will attach with my bank statement and gift deed. I searched nairaland and saw some other stories of people that did the same, so I decided to do that and hope for the best. I will also add the explanation to my LOE.
Are all these necessary?
I believe in keeping application very simple and short.

Myself, I only uploaded my bank fixed deposit certificate and pension statement of account with reference letter from the pension company (mainly because of the 25% we can access from pension)

Yours is a gift deed, do you need letter of non indebtedness? Or even reference letter from the bank? Why not just get the deed, get the statement of account where the money came from and your own statement of account to show it's in your account, then maybe a reference letter that says you are the sole owner of the account, not even necessary to me.

Burna boy, wizkid, falz and all influencers that supported this, y'all need to keep up with the energy, come back to the country and continue with the protest to a logical conclusion. You cannot be in the UK this period

The heading isn’t like that so it’s probably for education.

However, my own ECA heading doesn’t have such on it as well but mine is immigration because it was done recently and I’m sure.

This is what I have on my footnote report
Since his plan was for school initially, I think he did what was expected for sch.
Pls immediately request for an immigration ECA. Also contact Wes, I'm not sure, but contact them to see if they can convert it to ECA for immigration purposes

His ECA is document by document that’s why it’s even difficult to detect if it’s for immigration or education.
We can’t find anywhere on the application that shows such neither was it stated in the report.

Please If you know how I can check on the app to confirm if it’s education or immigration please let me know
Thank you
The heading of the ECA should be:

Educational Credential Assessment for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

He used WES and we’ve logged on to check but can’t find anywhere In his account where it states if it was for immigration purposes or not.

However the ECA was done in 2016 when he wanted to study in Canada before deciding otherwise so it means it’s possible it could be for educational purposes and not immigration. Although my souse is saying it wasn’t stated on their site which to choose from as of 2016.
It's usually stated, Wes does for immigration and for education purposes. He should have done a new ECA for immigration purposes. Documents by documents evaluation in Wes is for immigration, while course by course is for education. Check what he has.

I just woke up to the most shocking news ever
I am an accompanying spouse and our application was cancelled in the early hours of the morning.
AOR Sept 13
We were waiting for MEP/BIL only to get the shocking bad news. I am so heartbroken, we’ve really put a whole lot of effort into this process.

CANCELLATION REASON
PA’s ECA is not for immigration purposes.
I haven’t even heard of this before anywhere. I am still in shock.
How do we go from here?
Quickly check the ECA service you used, check if you requested for ECA for immigration purposes or ECA for education purposes.
If the error is with the ECA body, get them to issue you an apology letter and also issue you the correct ECA, then you can appeal your rejection and with prayer it'll be reopened.

But if you made the mistake yourself, I really don't know what to say.
.so first things first, was it WES you used?

My AOR was August 10th, and yes I got a biometrics instruction letter. I’ll proceed with the biometrics.

I included my degree certificate (masters degree from University of Toronto) and DLI number during the application. I’m very surprised that they’re asking for ECA, and I have just 7 days to submit the ECA, which is practically impossible.
Just thinking, why did you come back to Nigeria after your Toronto study?

If they sent u a mail, there will be an attachment in it for u to fill for your refund. This happens if your score was upgraded. In the absence of such attachment,it means it wasn't upgraded.

Pls i need help from any doctor in the house who has been able to pay for MCC SVR and ECA recently, it says payment must be from a credit card only! Seeing as credit cards are not so common around here, i need help on how to to about the payment.
Thanks
If you are a salary earner in Nigeria with an income above N250k or N350k, you can request for a credit card from your bank. Almost all banks in Nigeria now issue credit card

Hi Slydog:
You said: “This your solution is not easy o, I wonder what restaurant did to you to deserve this. Will closing down restaurants & having a "national policy" on those sectors generate employment for the teeming millions? I need to understand the rationale behind your solution”

Let me explain:
Restaurant is classified as a small business and one of the most important engines that drives economic growth in the society and creates jobs for locals. According to 2012 business report by the small business administration in USA, small business-like restaurant comprised 99.7% of US employer firms.

People who work in restaurants keep money earned in their communities. They shop in local stores, shoes stores, barber shop, groceries stores. When people spend money, it provides jobs opportunities for others.

Restaurants pay taxes to the government. People who work at the restaurant pay taxes to the government. People who eat at the restaurants also pay taxes. These taxes generate revenues to the government—allowing government to hire people to work

On the other hand, restaurant workers spend their wages to buy personal items like shoes, clothes, etc. That creates jobs for locals and generates revenues for other business to help them to hire others to work.

now, this kind of business does not work in Nigeria because every tribe in Nigeria has their own food. For an example, in Nigeria, you have Ibo food restaurant, Yoruba food restaurant, Hausa food restaurant, Ibibio food restaurant, Ijaw food restaurant----making it difficult for employees of these restaurants to transfer their skills to restaurants not designed to feed people from another tribe.

I propose national policy not just on restaurants business but all other private sector businesses because it will allow businesses to be located anywhere in Nigeria instead of a particular tribe. That means if you know how to cook Yoruba food, you have skill to cook Ibibio food. And that is job opportunity.

Why is operation of restaurant business work for people America, Europe and Asian countries, not people in Nigeria?

The short answer is Nigerian government officials run government services not on policy, but whatever gets into their mind. That is a recipe for disaster. You are witnessing it in Nigeria today.
An impressive line of reasoning, yes we need policies for sme and sectors that generate substantial multiplier effect, however there are things you cannot legislate. If I HV the resources to set up my restaurant in my village, inhabited by my own tribe, I doubt you can legislate me by law or policy into preparing delicacies of other tribes not adequately represented within my area of influence.
In economics, there is what is called comparative advantage, man as a rational and Economic being engaged in business wherein he is hopeful of making maximum returns.
Like I said, nice line of reasoning, keep thinking and refining your thoughts

You do realise in the USA there are indian restaurants that cook strictly Indian food, Mexican restaurants that cook strictly Mexican and Chinese restaurants that cook strictly Chinese. Food is a fundamental part of culture.
And Nigerian restaurants in Canada too, dealing on strictly Nigerian delicacies

eeetuk:
Education is a job training, not a magic bullet—something Nigerian government has failed to communicate to the public before every Nigerian begins to acquire all the education.

In Nigeria, students graduate from schools with absolutely no job experience and expect to get hired. No, it is not going to happen. It is happening in Europe, North America, and Asian countries.

In Europe, North America and most Asian nations, people get jobs soon after they graduate from schools because they have existed private sector businesses that offer students opportunities to work when they are students and gain job skills. In Nigeria, such opportunities do not exist.

And here is why

Nigerian government does not have a national policy on restaurants, clothing stores, groceries stores, shoes stores, barber shop, etc.

At the heart of the problem is tribalism. Every tribe you go to, people there have their own foods, dressing code, customs, and so on. That makes it difficult for Nigerians who graduate from schools to obtain jobs skills that they can transfer. It also makes it difficult for jobs to be created in a large scale to hire school graduates.

Solution
Nigerian government should propose and pass a national policy on restaurant busines, clothing stores, barber shops, shoes stores, convenient stores business. All tribal restaurants and associate business should be shut down. This will allow Nigerian to work in any business and transfer skills gained to other business.

Education is job training. Try to get a job while you are a student to gain job skills. Do not wait until after school graduation to look for job to acquire skills. That way you don’t start at the bottom or sit too long to find a job.
This your solution is not easy o, I wonder what restaurant did to you to deserve this. Will closing down restaurants & having a "national policy" on those sectors generate employment for the teeming millions? I need to understand the rationale behind your solution

Underemployment is another serious issue.
I have a PhD in Economics, but I work as a marketer in a commercial Bank where your certificate really don't mean anything.
Hopefully by first quarter of next year, I will resign and look for something else to do. The banking system just dulls one.
