Your response highlights a common issue in the way we talk about the immigrant experience, especially within the Nigerian community. Often, when one or two people find success, it can lead to victim-blaming of the thousands who are facing difficulties, as if they aren’t doing enough or aren’t smart enough. This attitude is all too common and dismisses the real challenges that many immigrants face.
It’s important to celebrate success stories, but let’s not ignore the reality for the majority. The system can be unfair, and thousands of new immigrants genuinely struggle to find suitable jobs. But often, as Nigerians, we hide our struggles and celebrate small wins as though they reflect everyone’s experience in Canada. Your examples of a doctor or tech professional succeeding can feel like an insult to the many who are still struggling in silence and making huge effort and still could not get a much desire job or any level of financial freedom!
Noted. To each his own.

One thing I like about this country is that when people complain they try and adjust, JT didn't get many things right but look at his reform in regards to immigration, they have adjusted it, they introduced many incentives for FHSA to be able to afford a house after the whole unaffordable housing issue, I'm not sure I would be voting for any of them though they're almost the same to me so may the best win

But for provincial why are you voting conservative when they removed insurance cap, now insurance fee is skyrocketing, they have been delaying the green line LRT for Calgary folks, when Trudeau added carbon tax, they also added their own tax to gas per litre, Alberta isn't for liberal though but there's still NDP
NDP/Liberal is the same. The NDP party is in charge of Edmonton, na ppty tax them dey increase every year and running deficit.
At the Center, conservative are doing well, budget surplus last 2 or 3 years.
Economically speaking, putting caps, be it price or production caps lead to inefficiencies and are detrimental to economy growth.

On immigration problem: JT created the problem and now acting like he's providing solution to it. Create problem, proffer solution. Normal liberal politics. He shouldn't have opened the door to all Tom and dick. In the last two months, CSIS has arrested two confirmed ISIS members. The issue is even that it's the CIA notifying us of these people, so we don't even know them. JT went and brought in thousands of Palestinians, today for the first time ever, we have folks chanting Death of Canada, imagine the nonsense. JT should just resign abeg.

I wish it's not too late for me to convince you not to join these insurance guys that are making merchandise of the immigrant population. Their life insurance products are targeted at immigrants because they are very bad financial products, and so they leverage on immigrants selling to other immigrants in their network. At the end, the insurance agent makes money, the insurance company makes money, but the person that bought the product loses money. I wouldn't sell such a product to my community.
Tell me more please.
Is it that the insurance doesn't doesnt work? The term or perm live or resp, do they work when u need them or not?

Just be prepared to be accused of being an Uncle Tom. That is the funky name new immigrants get for voting Conservative Parties in the West even those who call names don't know how and where the shoe pinches.

P.S. It was actually the Conservative Party in Canada that reformed the Express Entry sometime in 2015.
A wind of change is sweeping with Trump, but it's a wind of common sense over devilish ultra liberalism.

even if you don’t get a job in your field you still get a passport after 3 years plus high standard of living. When you compare with the immigration policies or countries like UK and USA. Where u have 60-90 days to find another employer or leave the country. Its a no brainer. Plus the PR allows you stay in your country for 3 years in the next 5 years. No one was forced to come. 🤭

Most of the people i came to Canada with 5 years ago have found their feet. A former colleague for example became chief risk officer of big company this week.

Economy has been tough due to mismanagement and too much immigration but it surely will get better when this Trudeau loses as expected next year.
One guy I dey follow to learn work for real estate, he is a fuxking nurse!!
He has stopped nurse work and doesn't care about his license, to enter home construction business, baba say na $1.5m he is looking for to set up his own home construction company/business. Na 2024 Escalade he drives, bought cash, no financing.

This place is a level field for everyone to restart and push and live to their dreams.

The guy I mention who bought 6 houses this year said he asked his wife to stop working and do some courses in property management, so that she can manage there properties and take care of the kids while he is still working.

I refuse to complain but push and find ways to help my bottom line. Now I advertise houses for sale even without realtor license for a commission.

People coming to me to sell life insurance, I had to research this life insurance and find out they make up to $3k for any permanent life insurance they sell. Bro, I am studying to write insurance exam now, $150 just to sell insurance to myself and earn the 3k and I can sell to others.

Rather than complaining and whine, I keep looking at the brighter side, looking for opportunities and talking to people.

Guy, multifamily investment property for sale in Edmonton, I'm your plug.

I dnot know if you arrive canada escaping poverty ,jobless nd hunger in Nigeria but sorry not everyone arrives in Canada in desperation. Many immigrants come through legal avenues like the Express Entry system from different part of the world , which is meant to address labor shortages and often attracts highly skilled professionals from around the world. These individuals are often thriving in their careers before immigrating, only to arrive and face a reality that can feel disheartening and misleading.

The Canadian government and various online sources like job bank but in reality 90% of job posted on jobbank is either fake or old create an impression that professional opportunities abound, but upon arrival, many immigrants find that the situation is different from what was portrayed. While some may be content simply to leave their homeland regardless of job prospects, many come with the expectation of meaningful employment in their fields based on the Canadian government's recruitment and labor data.

Addressing the flaws in Canada’s immigration system, particularly the mismatch between expectations and realities, is challenging when discussing with individuals who may approach it with bias, sentimentality, or lack of objectivity like you. It is important to recognize these complexities and advocate for a more transparent immigration process that aligns better with the professional aspirations of new immigrant!

The recent plan to reduce immigration over the next three years highlights significant issues within the system, despite attributing the decision largely to housing shortages. Rising unemployment remains a concern, with many skilled professionals, such as computer scientists, resorting to driving for Uber just to survive. Although classified as "employed" for tax purposes, these statistics overlook the issues of underemployment and the mental health struggles immigrants face. Many are forced to switch careers simply to make ends meet, such as a computer scientist retraining as a nurse out of frustration, which raises concerns about the quality and passion of professionals in these roles.
Lol, if you came in via express entry like I did, you are certainly not trying to escape poverty or joblessness or hunger. Yenyenyen lol.

Just maybe its those who came in escaping poverty that actually hustle to make something for themselves while those who came in with no desperation or fighting spirit are waiting for jobs to call them. Like I said, just maybe, not 100% correct.

There are issues with the immigration system, YES, but no doubt people are thriving.

Computer scientist you say, how about Doctors/medical consultants with years of experience driving Uber or working in Shelter? You read book reach these ones?

Like I mentioned, the mindset matters, that's why for express entry they seek out highly educated people with years of experience on their job and in being flexible, not to whine continuously but to intelligently crave a niche for themselves and survive. If the jobs you are searching for is not coming you pivot intelligently, you do survival jobs to "survive" to keep the light on while u keep working towards where you want to be. It may take months or years, but you keep pushing, never giving up.

It's a Nigerian doctor that put down payment for a 41 unit multifamily house last month valued at $6m in Edmonton, but his first two years here he was working Shelter interacting with homeless, drug addicts and flying back to Nigeria to maintain his licence at the same time, he did not whine about. It's an IT clouds guy that I know bought 6 single family houses this year. He was originally a banker in Nigeria but has successfully pivoted his life. Dude dey ride Porcshe EV 2024. You think say he no struggle and hustle before he pivoted and wrote exams to be where he is in his $1m house in Keswick Edmonton.

Let's keep whinning na.

I will be three years here next year, yes I did not do survival jobs before I got my first job in banking, but I realized banking wasn't for me and I pushed further to get an almost 6figure role in govt and also picked up a survival job making extra cash even with an almost 6 figure job, why? I had a plan to buy my second house and plan achieved, and I left the survival job.

You want a table laid before you like a king in Canada? Join politics and keep advocate for change like others are. Next week, I'm meeting with the first Black Speaker of the House, Hon. Fergus.

Baba, meet people, connect, network, hustle, no whinning.

There are issues with the immigration, YES.
There are issues in Nigeria that made u leave your lofty position to move to Canada? Yes.

Choose your issues and work it out. Issues dey everywhere, lol.

It's so sad how Canada is luring professional immigrants under the pretext of a labor shortage, but in reality, it's a struggle to get jobs in those fields. As a result, many skilled immigrants end up taking jobs below their qualifications or in unrelated fields just to make ends meet, leading to underemployment and frustration.. This is a pure modern immigration "Ponzi scheme" and an intellectual scam!
Intellectual scam? Will you like to go back to where we all came from?
I don't think k any of us were promised automatic jobs.
We are all from a 3rd world country, not everyone will be lucky to come and start at same professional level he or she was at in Nigeria, in Canada a 1st world country.
Most people will have to start afresh, or start at a lower level, or even go back to sch.
No one lured us, we all searched for better environment and found Canada.
There are success stories all around. My frnd was a bug guy in Halliburton years ago in Nigeria when he left and started as a security man because you cannot practice engineering without licence here. After his licensing he got 180k role and after two he realized 180k is too small for him. Today he drives truck and owns two trucks and decides how much taxes he pays as a business owner. Will u say the country has scammed him?
If we are complaining, what should Doctors do? After years of study and they have to write exams for three years? Nurses have to write exam as well?

There is a reason they say they want highly educated people, people who will come face the challenge and intellectually carve a way for themselves and survive. Not because there are jobs on the street waiting for us from Nigeria.

I have explained above, same people like Boko Haram. It's always the minority. I grew up in Kano, the possibility of a christian getting attacked is 0.000001% in such circumstances. Of course we have law of execution for blasphemy but first it must be done in an orderly court process not jungle justice. Second innocent people must never ba harmed even if they are same background with the culprits.
Islam equally prescribes execution for blasphemy against Jesus just like muhmmad.

Imagine a christian getting killed by set of ingnorant touts in the name of Islam. The media will make it look as if that's what the northern Muslims do.
If you have any realative in the north, ask them about the freedom and courtesy they enjoy and how safe they are.. you will be surprised.
You're making it look like it's only boko haram that should be blame. When pantomi and Sanusi lamido led people to kill christains years ago, was it boko haram? Were these not highly educated people who were killing in the name of Allah.

Pls do some introspection and ask yourself why one religion is known for evil all over the world.

acknowledge you for being courteous and seeking true knowledge concerning Islam and Muhammad.
Firstly: Islam is a religion established as a Nation. How? Going back to prophet muhammad time, he was elected from his hometown with his followers and migrated to Madina. In this city islam basically became a majority religion and only place of the religion. But people of his hometown were not done they still attacked with all sorts of aggression against the Islamic city of Madina. Since Madina is Muslim dominated, what does it basically become? A nation of Muslims, right? Of course, then there is need for constituting a structure of all sectors including a military structure. The aggressions continued unchecked against muhammad and his followers in madina, until the Quran verses talking about military codes were revealed. I can fully detail you about the magnanimity and responsible war ethics of Muhammad. So it was basically a self defense war since the makkan idolators kept attacking them.

Secondly: Muhammad involved in as many wars as the weak and newly formed Islamic nation was formed. Example, war of the clans: all world idolatry kingdoms were invited by makkan idolators to lay siege on madina and exterminate muhammad and his followers. How did he respond? He merely built a huge ditch round the city to barely escape the advancing clans. In another Case the unchecked makkan aggression forced muhammad to confront them. I believe you agree that's a legitimate war act. If muhammad wanted war he would have crushed a his enemies in makka When islam gained strength and he entered the City with a large following. This were people who toured him and his companions seized their properties and rendered both muhammad and his followers homeless. They even expected him to execute them, but his words were ; "you are free on this day, and no one will harm you" out of awe many of them joined his faith and became his friends. Another case is that of the Jewish community, muhammad tried his Best to live peacefully with but they were on the loose. Carrying all sorts of guerilla attacks on him and even once killed 70 of his companions at once. But still avoided war with them. But when they persisted in trying to crush the Muslim nation muhammad had no choice but to declare war on them and end the threats, but even at that he warned his companions to avoid killing the aged, women and children. And even gave them option to surrender and stop threats just to avoid bloodshed.

Thirdly; Muhammad only taxed aggressive non Muslims after wars against him, this was to keep them in check and a compensation for their hostilities and even a better option than ransacking them. Heavy tax is false and baseless. Muhammad taxed fairly gainfully employed people and even exempted the low income earners, and the weak ones. Easily check out ottoman empire and their far tax system, they are Islamic based. How much more muhammad himself?

Lastly, yes there are "just wars" a the above cases are justified wars. Case of palestine is very obvious if you are seeking Truth. Those are European jews who were expelled by Hitler. The palestinians due to their Islamic morals chose to help but the Jews turned on them ejected them and killed them recklessly. Imagine in your own land after helping them, I think jesus prophesied about this in a parable about the gardener. . Any form of retaliation from the palestinians is morally correct.

Having a good time enlightening you
You are welcome
I believe you'll therefore agree with me that all your explanations show why the religion is militant in nature.
It's adherents are always in one form or agitation, fight, war or the other, using the name of Allah to back up their actions.

Yes, you may use taqiyya and tell me that those fighting and killing may not know the true religion or are being misguided, but deep down there are two types of muslims:
1. One says convert or I will kill you- these are the openly hardliners, terrorists, boko haram, isis, and the likes, and

2: the 2nd group are the quiet ones who say-not directly- convert or group 1 will kill you. You'll never find the group publicly condemn the actions of group, they'll all keep mum, covertly praying and supporting group 1 in their dream and wish for a world with Islam as the only religion.

Think about this for a second, irrespective of the reasons which muhammad fought wars whether offensive or defensive in his time, can we really accept that it's a religion of peace compared to the actions of main actors in other religions of the world.
You will therefore agree with the saying that "all Muslims are not terrorists, but all terrorist are muslims".

Let's not even go into the issue of blasphemy. So much intolerance in religion, I understand Muhammad was one know for forgiveness or love, just "forced peace" of submission or tax or death. Blasphemy = death, convert from islam to other religion = death, draw picture of muhammad = death, steal = death. Una dey forgive?? No Christian will hurt much less kill u for insulting Jesus or Mary or who ever, rather Jesus taught us to pray for you, sane cannot be said you guys in the "peaceful religion", if you ask me, who then really are the peaceful guys? Christian or Muslims? Hindu or Muslim? Buddhist or Muslim? Atheist or Muslim? There's a reason the Chinese, of all the religions in the world, refer to one as a "mental illness ", guess which one? I guess they just can't understand why it's adherents are violent.

Like you agreed there are just wars, and the religion allows you to take sex slaves, na wa for such religion

In the 13th position for best Memes of 2023- a massacre by the leader of "peace". This meme was liked over 1200 times and viewed 43k on Twitter.

For anyone who tells you Islam is a religion of peace or Muhammad is a messenger of mercy...ask them to tell you about the Genocide of Banu Qurayza.

And so this person does not make up stories that Muhammad delivered chocolates and flowers to them, you can read the story here:

wikiislam.net/wiki/The_Massa…

In short, Muhammad had a peace treaty with several Jewish tribes, some kept it and some sided with the pagans during a battle. The tribe of Banu Qurayza, stayed neutral but after seeing how savage Muhammad was with the other Jewish tribes, Banu Qurayza who counted at best 2000 are no match to Muhammad's army of nearly 40,000 - had tried to reach out for some aliance elsewhere - although they strongly denied that.

The reality is that Muhammad had already decided he wanted to clear Arabia of all none muslims in this hadith.

Sunan Abi Dawud 3030
Jabir bin ‘Abd Allah said that he was told by ‘Umar bin Al Khattab that he heard the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) say “I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from Arabia and I shall leave only Muslims in it.” (Graded Sahih)
sunnah.com/abudawud:3030

What happened next stains the image of Islam and Muhammad forever. An absolute massacre. The tribe were attacked in the morning and they put up very little resistance. Muhammad accused them of treason for which they could not have any fair trial. Women and girls taken as slaves and sex slaves, men and boys killed. In one shocking incident presents in the Hadith, a mother pleads with Muhammad to save her boy who is only 13. Muhammad asks his men to strip him to see if he has a pubic hair (evidence that he is now an adult) and it turned out he has one single hair!!

The boy was slaughtered.

This was not just a policy against Banu Qurayza, this was standard policy of Muhammad against all the tribes as shown in the authentic hadith:

sunnah.com/search?q=Pubic…

Can you not feel the love? Can you not feel the mercy of Islam?

Honor killing? Beheading? Child marriage? Pls let's not go there.

I'm certain the fulani killings in Jos, Kaduna south, Benue and other parts of the country is a "just war", don't come at me with the herders farmers clash which is always used to beautify the issue, we all know it's part of the Islamic expansion agenda.

Suicide bombers will surely face eternal toture from Allah, infact even for someone to commit suicide on his own will dwell in toture, not to talk of suicide bombing.
The Quran chapter 4 said: do not commit suicide.. whoever does such will taste punishment of hell" . Prophet muhammad further said: whoever kills himself will be continuously punished in like way in the hereafter.

Talking about terrorism, Quran cpth 5 vs 93 says; whoever kills someone intentionally will face Everlasting severe punish.
The prophet muhammad further added: anyone who Kills a peaceful non muslim will never taste eternal bliss. ..
Islam has no room to Even cause a minor against anyone, not to talk of killing in the name of religion. Such people are terrorists and not Muslims. In fact the Quran called for their execution.
Do not confuse military tenets and morality taught in Islam with terrorism, you can agree with me that every organized nation provides military structure, Islam is no different.
But such miscreants twist such facts to suit their terrorists instincts and attribute it to Allah and Muhammad.

Ask me anything about Islam, I believe you are on the way to understand us.

2 confusion:

1. Do not confuse military tenets and morality taught in Islam with terrorism, you can agree with me that every organized nation provides military structure, Islam is no different::::::: every organized nation provides military structure Islam is no different. Is "islam" a nation or a religion.? I believe you will Say a religion, how come it concerns itself with "military", "wars", fighting, I chatted with a middle east guy, he told me after all, Muhammed did not "fight many wars". I'm confused, why is an acclaimed "man of peace" who is allegedly spreading a "religion of peace", involved in a number of wars? Why heavy taxes for "non belivers"?

2. Are you also saying there are no "just wars" in Islam where fighting and killing and all manner of terrorism are not permitted? Or what do you think about the Palestinian Isreali war? I believe you'll agree with me that based on the tenets of Islam, the Palestinians ate fighting a "just war"

This is a rebuttal of this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/7936687/11-reasons-why-must-japa#:~:text=11.,life%20expectancy%20is%20very%20high.

DISCLAIMER:
There is a notion that once you present an anti-japa argument, you're automatically an agent working for the govt. I want to state here that I have never supported this Apc govt since their coming to power in 2015. My contrary opinion on japa stems from my detest of youths mass-migration for economic reasons. I see it as an act of cowardice and stupidity.

This is not just for Nigerians japaing alone. I'm also disgusted whenever I see pictures of thousands of able bodied Latino youths who are at the US-Mexico border begging to be allowed entry into the US. These youths coming to together to mass-migrate can also link-up to take back their country via any possible means. Because if their home countries were better, they won't be moving out enmass. One of the reasons why the citizens of the country you're japaing to often discriminate against you is because you have proven to be a weakling seeking an easy excape or an inferior who are incapable of fixing their problems.
The only mass-migration i support is if it's due to serious natural disaster or large scale political persecution like that of Israel-Palestinian conflict. Below are the 11 reasons why you shouldn't Japa from Nigeria.

1.) It's More Easier To Be A Dollar Millionaire/Billionaire In Nigeria:

There are millions of Nigerians in the diaspora who are supposedly living in the first world economy and are working in various fields of human endeavor. But it may interest you to know that non have ever made it into Forbes billionaires list. But those at home keep making the list back to back.
This is important to point out because wealth building is a crucial topic to every real man and majority of Nigerian men moving are doing so mainly due to financial reasons.
Truth is, Nigeria is the largest market in Africa and a developing economy. There are plenty of wealth to be created in a "developing economy" than in a "develop economy", that's why as you are trooping out, Chinese, Lebanese and Indians are trooping in. Nigerians are raising $20k-30k in this economy to Japa while average Americans can't boast of $10k in their bank accounts, they live check to check.

2.) African Communal Living:

Nigeria offers the African social support system that you won't find in the Western countries. You fit run into financial emergency, your family will gather to raise funds for you, if you child misbehaves outside elders go assist you to discipline the child before you return home, if your house is on fire the whole neighborhood will join hands in puting out the fire, if you're cooking late night and ran out of maggi, if you knock on your neighbor door, him go deliver you, if your co-tenant never see you for 2 to 3 days, he go knock for your door to check up on you. All these don't happen in your Japa destination. In the West, you fit dey sick and later kpai inside your room and stay there for over a month nobody go know until your body begins to the smell.

3.) There Is More Insecurity Abroad:

You are 7times more likely to be shot in any city in America than in Lagos. Almost every Western country has violent "Far-Right Groups" who are frustrated and bitter with their Govts for allowing influx of migrants to erode their society and culture. These groups are like a time bomb waiting to go off because they can easily turn violent by attacking migrants especially black people. The big truth is, insecurity especially in southern Nigeria is over-reported and amplified on social media. There are violent crimes in every country. The crime news you read on social media especially in South of the country is commiserate with our population. No one can pull out any data anywhere to show that crime rate in the South has reached an epidemic proportions as believed on social media. In fact if you ban social media for 1year in Nigeria and conduct an opinion poll on insecurity. You will be surprised that Nigerians will tell you that insecurity has reduced. Just recently, a govt minister was robbed on the highway in South Africa. If that were to happens in Nigeria, Japa will be trending in Nigeria for more than a week. Most Nigerians haven't seen a bokoharam militant before but bokoharam will attack a village in Borno State close to the border with Chad, someone living in Lekki will read the news online and tweet that he wants to Japa due to insecurity.

4.) Easy Access To Natural Foods:

Nigeria has abundant healthy cheap natural foods and it's even taken for granted here. The people in the abroad you wants to go are jealous of your menu. Unhealthy and disease-causing canned and processed foods are what you will end up to when you finally japa because you will pay through your nose to place your hands on any organic food there.

5.) Favourable Weather Condition Throughout The Year:

Nigeria has one of the best climate conditions you can find. We have no extreme weather here. No severe temperature, Tornado or Harricane. Weather conditions in your Japa destination can cause sudden emergency situations. It can sometimes cause a whole city to be evacuated.

6.) No Racism:

Truth remains that after you Japa, you and your family will at one point experience both subtle and harsh discrimination based on your skin color or accent and you will never integrate into the Western society not even in a million years. Black Americans that japaed 400yrs ahead of you are yet to be fully integrated and accepted, I don't know who is motivating you that you will be accepted fully or that your own case will be different.

7.) Nigeria Better On Raising Cultured Kids:

If as a Nigerian, you are cautious of how your kids will be raised, you better stay back home, because in the West, your kids doesn't belong to you. They belongs to the government and authorities there are free to teach and instill any idealogy they deem necessary. So don't be shocked if your 7yrs old son are taught how to switch gender or pronoun at school and given free lgtv literature with erotic images.

8.) Nigeria Better On Entertainment And Fun Activities:

You can fall into depression abroad due to loneliness and stress from doing multiple jobs but not in Nigeria. With little money in Nigeria, you can go partying and balling till dawn day in day out. You fit die onto enjoyment.

9.) No Weird Or Crazy New Culture:

Abroad will humble a deeply religious person who is against homosexuality to work as a caregiver for gay couples. You will be forced to embrace trans and gay people, feminism and made to reject polygamy. I doubt if men have rights in the West. You risk losing everything to a woman, this don't only apply to your wife. Even your long-term girlfriend who you are cohabiting with, can be given a share of assets after a breakup by the court. If a random woman accuses you of rape, the system will already treat you as a convict. I recently observed that premier league captain band is now decorated with pride colors (lgtv flag) to support the community. And you know what awaits any player that openly criticizes it or refuses to wear the band. He risk getting cancelled and he should kiss his footballing career a goodbye. They will use his punishment as deterrent to others. All these new crazy woke policies and behaviors are not practiced in Nigeria.

10.) Cost Of Living Is Cheaper:

Thousands of Americans and EU citizens are retiring like kings in South East Asia and South America ie Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Chile etc. You can look it up. Not that they don't love their home countries but because they are excaping the high cost of living in the West. Accommodation, transportation, education, local foods etc are still cheaper in Nigeria. The amount you will paid on a match-box apartment in London or New York can fetch you a year rent of 2bedrooms flat in a good location in any major Nigerian city.

11.) No Rat Race Or Extreme Taxation In Nigeria:

You will labour abroad for a month and the rigged system will use "high taxation, high cost of living and the scam credit system" to return everything back to the system in order for you to repeat the circle again. In a bid not to go homeless on the cold streets, and also to put food on your table, you have no other option than to keep repeating the circle until the time you will finish your term of slavery due to old age, then your children will start where you stopped and the circle continues.
Truth is, the entire world is controlled by the globalists in the West, the further away you're from the West and it's entanglements the freer you will become. If the 1% elite in the West removes the rigging in the system you will be able to secure enough bags and retire early. But they stands to lose if people starts excaping the system early, they need your manpower for longer period of time to maintain their industries and establishments. This explains why the more income you earn there, the more rediculous taxes you pays because the system is continously gauging you and the tax system (one of it's tools of control) is strictly and heavily guided, defaulters risks jail term. The system was programmed in a way that you will never get enough in order not for you to start thinking of excaping the slave camp early until you finish your term of slavery.
This is one of reasons why rich and exposed Nigerians don't fancy living abroad. Even most African ex-footballers returns home immediately after the end of their career in Europe. An average Nigerian coming from lack, hunger and extreme poverty and who is daydreaming of Japa won't be able to see this anomaly. Living in Nigeria will provide you the opportunity to excape Matrix.
You failed to identify health care. You are one sickness away from death in our comatose health sector.

Few moments ago, I witnessed someone collapsed on the street and 911 was called while on the phone they were telling the caller how to position his body and do CPR while doing cpr fire service came with their medical team and began resuscitation, less than 5 mins later emergency medical service came in. It was my first time witnessing such, what I did was to count the number of paramedics on ground for one person. I counted 7. They had mini versions of a number of medical equipment I don't know which they used to resuscitate him, while they were prepping to put him into the ambulance police arrived to ask some questions.

This was just someone walking on the street. If this happens in Nigeria, that fellow is gone, not only do we have no one to call for emergency medical services, but the fact that all fellow Nigerians will do is to gather round, block fresh air, shout eyah, video you in your dying moments and maybe pray that God accepts you into paradise.

Here, I see people moving and driving with mobile oxygen with hose connected to their noses and still functioning. I've met someone walking with colostrum bags and functioning well, and smoking his crystal meth. The fact that he cant pass shit normally wont even kill him, rather its OD from his crystal meth that'(( kill him. Meanwhile, my mother inlaw almost died of intestinal obstruction.

The fact that life is valued and precious here supercedes all these facts which if I even want to tackle, I'll tackle all.
Your money will not save you when medical emergencies happen and you're told there's either no doc available, or no equipment/outdated equipment, or no power.
Talking about easy to become millionaire, I met a Nigerian real estate Millionaire here in Canada. There are others. Truth is in these societies, you really don't have to be a Millionaire to enjoy the good things of life. I arrived Canada last year, I'm not a Millionaire but I already have carribean boat cruise and vacation to Cacun next year. Racism? Forget that, we have our version in Nigeria in different dimensions.
If you want to stay back in Nigeria, by all means, if you have the means to japa, do it the right way. I even feel coming in as a student is a waste of money, though I realize that's the only option for some, just ensure whichever process you use is legit.

There are 200m Nigerians with about half being youth. It is not realistic for everyone to japa. I have colleagues who also said they cant japa but of recent they are changing mouth. One in Chevron reached out to me, he wants to learn french for Canada express entry. The last time i came to Nigeria and visited him he was still anti japa. E go better
Met a Nigerian pharmacist here who said she had no choice but to learn French for one yr in Nigeria. While she's waiting to writing her professional exams, she leverage her Bilingual ability and got something nice here in Alberta, imagine when she's done with her exams as a Bilingual lady.

still on your question/that line of thought, do you or anyone on here have some insights on freight business, even if it's a small scale at first...aside cost, are there major barriers to entry?

This is both a suggestion to slydog, and a question to him and others.

So our kids aren't yet of age for that but I've been doing my inquiries here.
You'll need to register the kid under a licensed academic institution.Out of 5 school days, the child must be brought to school for one day.
The school at which you register the child under will have a set of activities for Monday, and the rest of the 4days you can homeschool however you want. My pastor's wife says they registered their kids under a Christian school and on the Mondays that they bring the kids to school, the parents are simply guided on some things to do, within a three-hour session and then they can go back home with the kids by midday.

If you are considering homeschool,I highly encourage you.Though it is no guarantee that our children would turn out upright, but it gives us greater chances to mould our children in the ways of the Lord, and we hang unto the promise that if we train our children in the way they should grow, they would not depart from it.Also, be encouraged in that statistics show that homeschooled children generally perform way better than public schooled children at public exams.

We wouldn't let our children be indoctrinated by third party God-haters and expect them to be upright. And this we discussed extensively prior to getting married. My wife will sacrifice career for that and I'll ensure to be the godly provider, protector and leader of our home. This is our premise for homeschooling, and it comes with lots of sacrifices which we are willing to make. You can ping me for further discussion.
Heard about it from a white Christain couple for the first time and didn't understand it. At what age does it start? Can we chat offline? Will send u a dm
