The economy is growing now, businesses have returned to normal, however inflation is now a problem, it's a double edged sword, there is a level of inflation that's good for economic growth, but after that level it's detrimental to growth.
This policy increase is long over due, and before the elections proper, it will be increased again due to excessive inflow of cash into the economy by these politicians.

All these are true especially for marketing in banks to the extent that u may have a manager interfering in relationships between you and your spouse or parents as the case maybe.

Well said. You guys are either poorly paid or you were entry level, either case, I am not contesting this as I have limited facts. However years ago as an SBE (Senior Banking Executive) my pay would not justify me leaving the job and doing Uber. The only issues i would have complained about are (1) humongous targets and (2) time constraints leading to lack of rest and stress. Please note, I was a back office staff (Legal Support Services). All in, whatever works. I was only clearing the fact that the OP was a contract staff (and his write-up also confirmed it).

1. I wish I was back office, pushing papers and drinking tea. You just can't try it as a marketer. We live with threats on a daily.

2. You were an SBE, on a normal back office and people close to head office see promotions on a regular. I spent 9 years in banking and have witnessed promotion once. You may say because one is not meeting targets but forget witch hunts and cliques and man know in the system. There was a time, every branch was asked to nominate 3 people per branch for promotion and you have a foolish manager that will nominate only one in her branch and dash two friends promotion from other branches. What will you do? A guy I left behind joined banking in 2007 when I was in 300level, today he just an SBO, after 15years ie just 3 promotions in 15years! One day the bank will wake up and do "age to grade" sacking.

3. The pay is poor. Not commensurate with the work load. Thank God for UK visa and Canada, bank staff these days resign two months after promotion and relocate with their families to UK (2 of my colleagues did it, to he'll with your promotion after I don wait tire, now Visa come out, u wan tie me down with promotion), lol. There was celebration in a certain bank head office March this year by people who put their names in sack list so that they will be paid off and they all had visas to Canada and UK.

This is very inspirational but you actually resigned as a contract staff working in a bank. Let us get it clear. No Banker employed as a full staff will resign from that job to go into bolt driving since in truth, the pay in that sector is very lucrative.

I encourage all other persons employed as contract staff in the bank to indeed seek an escape route. In the long term, they will be happy they did.

Bro, I'm in sort of a dilemma. I hv copr now and confused as to where to land.
I hv a distant uncle in Edmonton who says if I land there, he'll house me for 2weeks so I can get a place and sort myself out.
My father's younger sis is in Regina, a RN there, I used her to get sinp nomination twice but didn't get pr via pnp, rather fsw.

My travel date was April 5, flew with AirFrance, after several enquiry about Covid test wahala, i later settle for Rapid Antigen Test which they didn’t even later asked for self. I left home around 10am to Synlabs for the Antigenic test coz my flight was scheduled for 11pm, Pls try and get to Airport very early so you can quickly weigh your luggage, check in, relax too before your flight coz crowd especially heat Whey dey MMA mehn go boil water……Got to Airport around 1:30PM, i roger those police at the departure 1k sha so they can allow my family in. I went straight to Agric to declare my foodstuffs. Eventually my 2 check-in luggage weigh 45KG and 38KG respectively. OMO!!! I pack plenty foodstuffs no mind me, over 30yrs tastebud can’t change just of sudden, I need to still keep substitute with 9ja food so as to keep my sanity….na there we start ooo coz I was told I will have to pay 320$ close to 200k for excess luggage, I wan cry so my family said maybe they should reduce some foodstuffs, I said return KINNI, I rather reduce all my cloth instead but food ooo Lailai..So we started shuffle, those luggage guys render helped to (If you coming with foodstuffs no go do fine man/woman go buy those fine Big luggage find better GhanaMustGo or BigSack to pack your foodstuffs, though you can use those fine luggage for your clothes and others.. So after shuffle, I only have 1 excess 23KG check-in luggage. So I paid 117k for the excess.

Air France only asked for my passport, LOA, ArriveCan, LOI, they didn’t even asked for the Covid test self..so they check me in and I was given my boarding pass. I went to a lounge to have a swell time with my family before my departure….AirFrance In flight entertainment was quite good to Paris, then serve us Porridge with fish, the food sweet me make I no lie. I sleep reach Paris ni sha, we had about 6hrs flight to Paris. I only had 3hrs layover at Paris before proceeding to Vancouver flight,

At PARIS I was asked for my LOI, passport and boarding pass. In-flight entertainment no too tight much like the one from 9ja-Paris. I was only asked my purpose of visit, and this immigration officer started asking me about Shea butter (ORI) coz it on my Agric declaration from 9ja, OMO I con forget how to explain ORI, nah him even answer the question, he said moisturizer I quickly said yes, and I said it was extracted from plant not animal product, him con smile join, So he mark my declaration form and said I should proceed to another office to get my study permit. I got my study permit in less than 5mins. The immigration officer didn’t even asked me any question, no one asked for my Proof of fund Me whey I don do like 150 print out lol, I con dey rehearse English join. But pls stay prepared ooo, coz no one will tell what they will asked from you. I zoooooooom off carry my luggage and order uber to my AirBNB Apartment. Orile Ede Canada is Beautiful Mehn.

Go for University of Waterloo, it highly rated and there are a lot of insurance company around that city for Coop. Actuarial Science is very lucrative in Canada, i am surprise Nigerians are not taking up this course. You can earn 6 digits per annum in a space of 2 years after your Msc. I work in the insurance industry and i know how difficult to keep them, they change jobs like pure water. I remember an insurance company paying 4k to their staff if you refer an actuary. please go for it. if you need further clarification. you DM.

Feb 18th - Passport arrived Lagos Vfs
March 9th - Passport arrived Accra Vfs
March 9th - Passport enroute to Accra IRCC
March 24th - Passport arrived Accra IRCC
March 24th - Decision envelope sent to Accra vfs
March 24th - Decision envelope dispatched to lagos vfs

I think your passport is en route to vfs Accra from vfs lagos. This normally takes 2weeks.

This is my timeline too, but yet to get my passport returned

I also use to think the moment you get tracking number it means the passport is on the way to Ghana.
Anyways no option than to chill.. I already prepared my mind that the whole thing will take 4weeks to get back to me.

See I share your sentiment. I was in your shoes few months ago. I finally secured a job as a branch manager after 2 years of job hunting. I ended up with a toxic boss. A very toxic one at that. He doesn't hesitate to talk down at you at very given opportunity. I wake up early in the morning and think of my life for 30minutes before getting up to take my bath. It was that serious. It wasn't easy quitting cuz 1, I got that after been jobless for so long 2, How do I tell my mum and siblings I'm not doing again (u get?) 3, where do I start from when I quit? I resigned eventually and I kid you not it wasn't easy taking such a decision. But after quitting I made good use of the contacts I made while working there and again I was able to come up with a good business plan. Story long but in summary, you might not see other opportunities while you are still stuck there and foremost, mental health is important
