GrayBeard: I dont know why a anyone would make such a threat (if it is true that such a threat twas made) and certainly such should both be condemned and investigated. I also hope he has not been quoted out of context.
It will be ridiculous in the extreme to ask a secular examination body to take into consideration hours of worship during the daytime on a weekday, in terms of scheduling its examinations. Nigeria is supposed to be a secular state sir.
Please don't be absurd. Why should anyone violate a school uniform on religious grounds? The threat is hoax. I was one that thread and sane mind will easily decipher the game. They mentioned the name of the professor but claimed the reporter prefers to remain anonymous while the source is one rubbish free website from google, not even punch, vanguard, sunnews or sahara. |

I am still not clear how will an exam body fix exam for Jumat service period and still not clear why should Muslim must go to court before their daughters are allowed to use Hijab in schools when we are in Democratic settings (a non-hypocrite mind will ask the same question too). The most annoying thing is the nonobjective contributions of some Nairalander here (many who have travelled to a developed country with strictly less Muslim population).
Please let's tolerate each other. This and many other problem is why Nigeria is not moving forward. May God assist us all Bros, how about you call for the dissolution of this country let's go our separate ways? Please, i take God beg una, make una divide the country make we all get peace. You can not blame those men. the current INEC chairman was threatened... so many horrible things went on. but you see, Nigeria is gone. some of those analyst up there do not know what is coming. This not about some rubbish statistics or proven facts... You all should bid Nigeria farewell, she is not coming back. While in the middle of all these, do you know there have been predictions of global financial crisis or meltdown as we experienced in 2008? experts are saying the crisis around the corner ( it has a circle) can Nigeria weather the storm should we be caught in a global crisis? Sanusi's prophesies might come to pass... until the we go the venezuela route we won't have sense. You might sat no,it wont be... well, good news is, not when you live in a reactive country lol. e go do all of una like film trick.. those who fought for one Nigeria will be the one calling for the disintegration of the country. Politics › Re: Kwankwanso And Tambuwal Sabotaged Atiku?? by SmartMen: 3:19pm On Mar 24, 2019 |
Jarus: I reduced commenting on politics on NL when I saw the ignorance of many folks on the voting behaviour of Nigerians.
Anyone that has the slightest understanding of politics in Nigeria knows that there is a difference between Buhari and party in the minds of northern voters. When they were flaunting the Atiku crowd in Kano, some of us told them those people were not there for Atiku but for local PDP politicians (Kwankwaso etc). 1000 Kwankwaso cannot make Buhari lose Kano. But they refused to understand. The most illiterate northerners know the difference between Buhari and parties. They will vote for him even if he contests under AAC. The voters in Kano and some other northern states are so sophisticated that in two elections that hold same day, you can see result like Presidential (Buhari, APC/ANPP/CPC 2000, PDP 35) and in the HOR election holding same day in same PU (APC/CPC/ANPP 40, PDP 1950). This has always been the case. It happened in 2003, 2007 and 2011 when Buhari (ANPP/CPC) won in Kano and PDP won in guber. It is not something that started today.
It is not a matter of sabotage. 1000 Tambuwal or Atiku could not have made Buhari lose those states.
We told them, but these NL know-al folks that started following politics 3 years ago refused to listen to be eudcated. And is their reason based on good of Buhari or on religious ground, sharia and all other rubbish that does not to the development of this country. My wish is that the Herdsmen menace should spread everywhere, I wish for all killings currently going on in remote areas to spread across the country cos you all who take sides with Buhari are doing so because you are not yet affected... I wish for the country to get worse from here onward. |

You people are all wrong. Jega appeared best because GEJ refused to 'remote control' him. If he had, it would have been the same as those men mentioned above. None can help when the president choose to meddle into INEC's duty. |
Politics › Re: Kwankwanso And Tambuwal Sabotaged Atiku?? by SmartMen: 2:42pm On Mar 24, 2019 |
olujastro: It should be easy to understand voting patterns across the country but it seems intelligence is a rare commodity, especially on Nairaland.
Firstly, no northerner alive can defeat Buhari in the north. That has always been a known fact (one not obvious to PDP because it's full of dumb people).
Secondly, majority of Nigerians are politically informed so they vote for the candidates, and not the party (except the politically blind people who prefer to reelect a failed PDP governor because APC is a "satanic" party to them).
In summary, the people of Sokoto, Kano, Bauchi, etc. chose Integrity over Kleptocracy in the presidential election; and voted differently according to the credibility and performance of their various state governors. Shikena
Modified: Let me take the chance to tell you what the very predictably dumb PDP will do in 2023. They will pick another northern presidential candidate thinking northerners vote for fellow northerners, while APC will likely pick the most credible candidate it has from the South (West). Again Nigerians will vote for credibility and performance and APC will win. They voted integrity? really? Integrity must have another meaning in Nigeria. My joy is things will get worse from here and nobody is gonna escape it... I am thinking how you guys are gonna cope with the vote apathy in 2023 after so many bloodshed in 2019. I am thinking how you guys are gonna cope when every leaders start militarizing all election until your love ones are killed in the process while Nigeria move on. I am thinking how helplessly you would look when you are accused wrongly by the police for a crime you have not committed and no one can save you..., I am thinking how you are gonna cope when no hospital in Nigeria can treat your disease because of lack of facilities that can accommodate you. I am thinking how you are gonna cope should you be in the hospital needing urgent surgery and the doctors decide to go on strike. I am thinking how you are gonna cope when there are no doctors left in the Nigerian hospitals because all have taken the next flight to UK, US and Canada. I am thinking how you are gonna cope should your wive need to deliver you child and there is power cut with no fuel for the generator because of fuel scarcity. I am thinking how you are gonna cope should the fulani herdsmen head to your community and start killing everyone in sight. You think nothing will happen to you, right? Is that not why you fools open your mouth and talk anyhow, is that not why you feel it is none of your business? Is that not why you keep supporting the evil going on in the country? wait... it will go round. You think current victims are too far away, right? wait, it is a gradual process, it will go round, nobody, absolutely nobody will escape it! Atiku, Saraki and co never imagined they will be affected when they kicked against GEJ, did they? when you lack wisdom and ability to see the future, you spew rubbish from the comfort of your home.... because you are not currently affected. |

Politics › Re: We’re Against Atiku For Promising To Restructure Nigeria –ACF Secretary, Sani by SmartMen: 10:42am On Mar 24, 2019 |
Eco101: Same thing I told my friend yesterday. Two major reasons the North didn't vote for Atiku were largely due to his promise to restructure Nigeria and to Privatize NNPC. It is glaring that these two proposals make economic sense but due to political parasitism by the North, ethnic bigotry and self-centeredness, they will never allow this country to move forward. Everybody knows of a truth that the present NNPC is just a shadow of itself but some Nigerians hate the truth. I think Atiku should have played Buhari kind of politics - promise heaven and Earth and lie to the North in order to get their votes. Most Nigerians don't like who tells them the truth. That politically nailed Atiku. Atiku was thinking of winning the South with that. He should have kept some things away from the public until he won. It was a foolish miscalculation IMO. |
