herzernIsHere: 3 hours conversation!
75% of Nigerian ladies today can barely hold conversation that exceeds 30 minutes.
Maybe they can if the conversation will be on make up and food. It means the lady is an intelligent persons bros. I gave a girl a second chance for that reason because from the word get go, it has never been a boring time talking to her because she knows how to spice up talk, bring in topics and angles to keep the convo going. she makes you laugh as a typical delta (comedy is their thing) unlike so many Nigerian girls who expect you to do the talking, the jokes and lots more. Few weeks ago, I tried same with another girl... just to see where it goes. she was responding with one word (the usual, fine, okay, yes, no, maybe, k) and told my friend through him I got her contact that I do not know how to talk and that all I do is ask how are you, how was your day.. lol bros, if you rush these sames girls, they will be the ones telling you to slow down. What she didn't know was, I wasn't searching actually. I just wanted to see what it will look like and why she is single and I wasn't shocked about the outcome. I have ended discussing with her ever since. She is pretty though, light skin and tall |

whytediamond: I have a very funny and annoying case I'm dealing with right about now.
A company contacted me to design calendars for 2019 for them. After 2weeks of designing and countless tweaking plus product photo sessions, it got to the print stage and I suddenly the company said they can't pay the amount I requested for the print job.
I said OK fine, this is the soft copy of the job, get a printer to do the printing for less than what I offered, they went ahead and printed elsewhere even though the manager later confirmed they paid more for the printing compared with what I offered.
Now, the issue is this, I need my money for my intellectual property and time put into the design for calendar that they have already shared to their customers. To my greatest shock, I was told I won't be paid a dime.
What is their reason for not paying me? That I wasn't the one that printed the job, hence I won't be paid for the design. Like wtf are they talking about.
I'm already getting legal advice on how to recover my money from them.
Starting up a business ain't child's play people. Perseverance will surely pay in the long run. Stay focused, don't give up. Never embark on such business without part payment. at least 50-70% payment should be done before you start. |
Politics › Buhari’s Certificate:court Fixes Feb. 7 Hearing Suit Seeking Disqualification by SmartMen(op): 6:55pm On Jan 31, 2019 |
Buhari’s certificate saga: Court fixes Feb. 7 for hearing suit seeking president’s disqualification A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja division has adjourned proceedings in the suit seeking the disqualification of President Muhammadu Buhari from participating in the February 16 presidential election till February 7, 2019.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed fixed the date following a request by the plaintiffs’ counsel for time to respond to the second defendant’s counter-affidavit served on him on Thursday evening.
The plaintiffs, Kalu Agu, Labaran Ismail and Hassy El-Kuris, in the suit, are alleging that the President Buhari lied in his Form CF 001 submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), regarding his educational qualification and certificates.
In the suit filed on November 5, 2018, they are therefore seeking an order of the court to disqualifying Buhari from presenting himself and or contesting for president in the 2019 election.
Defendants in the suit filed on behalf of the plaintiff by Okpai Ukiro, has President Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC as 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants respectively.
When the matter was called for hearing, plaintiffs’ counsel, Godwin Haruna, who held brief for Ukpai Ukiro, informed the court that the matter was adjourned at the last sitting to January 21 for the hearing of all pending applications but was further adjourned to today January 31, since the court did not sit.
He, however, said he would be asking the court for a short adjournment to enable him to respond to the second defendant’s notice of preliminary objections which he said was filed on January 31 and served on him around 4.30pm.
Haruna who recalled that the processes were served on the APC since November 21 and they just responded only today, asked the court for a cost of N100k against the APC for foisting the adjournment on the court.
He said the defendant had been in court since but never bothered to file its response.
While counsel to President Buhari, Abdullahi Abubakar, did not object to the request for adjournment, counsel to APC, Tayo Lasaki, who said he was not opposed to the adjournment, however, said he was opposing the request for cost against him.
Lasaki said since the second defendant was challenging the jurisdiction of the court to hear the matter, it did not matter when the issue was raised.
He also argued that the request for adjournment was made by the plaintiffs and not him, adding that although the second defendant was appearing in the matter for the first time, they were, however, prepared to go on with the matter if the plaintiffs were ready.

In a short ruling, Justice Mohammed, in granting the adjournment, agreed with the second defendant that the issue of jurisdiction can be raised at any time and refused the request for the cost.
He subsequently adjourned till February 7 for the hearing of all pending applications.
Mohammed also ordered that hearing notices be served on the third defendant, INEC.
Issues raised for determination before the court in the suit marked: FHC/CS/ABJ/1310/2018, included “whether having regards to the information in the affidavit contained in the first defendant’s INEC form, CF 001 regarding his educational qualification/certificate, the first defendant had submitted false information to the third defendant.
“Whether from the facts and exhibits contained in the affidavit in support of the originating summons has regards to Section 31(5)(6) of the Electoral Act 2010 as amended, the first defendant is disqualified from running for the office of president in the 2019 general election.
“Whether the first defendant, having submitted false information to the third defendant, the second defendant can validly present the first defendant as its candidate for the office of president for the 2019 general elections.”
Upon the determination of the questions, the plaintiffs, therefore, are seeking the following reliefs from the Court: “A declaration that the first defendant submitted false information regarding his educational qualification to INEC for the purpose of contesting elections into the office of president of Nigeria in the 2019 general election.
“A declaration that the president, having submitted false information regarding his educational qualification/certificate is disqualified from contesting elections into the office of president in the 2019 election”.
Consequent upon this, the plaintiffs are seeking an order of court disqualifying the president from presenting himself and or contesting for president in the 2019 general elections.
They also prayed the court for an order directing INEC to reject or remove Buhari’s name as the presidential candidate of the APC submitted to it for the 2019 presidential election.
“An order of this court restraining the president from parading himself as the presidential candidate of the APC for the 2019 general election.
“An order of the court restraining the APC from parading Buhari as its presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections.”
In a 40-paragraph affidavit, the plaintiffs, who claimed to be card-carrying members of the APC, said based on the alleged false information the president submitted to INEC, he lacked the honour and integrity required for the lofty office of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. SEONaijaExpert: The arrangement of restricted grazing areas is better. Herdsmen lives within the community, what will happen when they start grazing again within the communities? I'm sure you know the answer already. they should keep their cattles in the North and graze there. Simple. I thought they often boast of land mass.. so what happened to their land mass? I repeat, rearing cattles is a private business and the government shouldn't acquire lands for them. They should build ranch with modern equipment and put them there while feeding them. That is what 21 century humans do, not acting like cave men. |

SEONaijaExpert: At this point of realities and state of the nation, it just depicts ignorance if anyone chose to sentimental. That exactly is what you've done.
What you don't know is bigger than you. Let me state this quickly, the vice-president was made the head of committee that involved all the Governors in a deliberation about the possible solution to the herdsmen menace. From the meeting it was concluded that all state would provide a restricted grazing location for all herdsmen, meaning that if they graze outside these restricted areas, they can be arrested and locked up. Which also means, even the public can take any kind of actions (in my own terms). That was the conclusion! And few states that has implemented this submission are experiencing peace.
That's all I can inform you. So don't be sentimental about national threats, you can't deal with them the same way. Some are bigger threat while dialogue can solve some. You'd agree if you want to be sincere with yourself. Let me ask you, would you be okay if use your land for my private business without paying you for it? While will the government give them land? don't the herdsmen have owners? who still roam around with their cattles in 2019 if not for some people who are still backward?Even Saudi Arabia, the HQ of Islam ranch their cattles after owners acquire necessary lands and equipment. |

SEONaijaExpert: Firstly, the suspension of Onnoghen followed the rule of law.
Secondly, some persons are threats to national security and keeping them for more interrogation has a provision under law. So you know more than the court that granted bail. you are just a paid mole on nairaland seeing you are using same line Buhari used when asked about the contineous detaining of those men. You couldn't even defend or come up with cogent reason for why they are being held after granted bail but you chose to regurgitate what has already been said... yeah, they are a national treat and Herdsmen that has killed thousands are not, Boko Haram that has killed thousands and granted bail are not. Let me tell you, you all will pay for your sins against this country. Your children will not escape this seed you have planted... it is a ripple effect. NOBODY escape the harvest. |

SEONaijaExpert: State your case clearly Did the suspension of the CJN follow rule of law? Did the detaining of Danksuki and Elzazaky follow rule of law after court granted them BAIL? Look, someone will take over that post one day and Buhari will pay for his sins, possibly die in prison cos by then, he would be over 90 years old. What goes around comes around. |

SEONaijaExpert: 1) At this juncture it is common sense for Onnoghen to resign
2) It's wisdom for NBA not to be seen protecting unethical practice and respect the institution so as not to be classified as clowns.
3) The role NBA has played so far in the unfolding of events has shown that they're either bought already or President Buhari was right about them and I think many of them hiding will be fished out soon.
4) It's disappointing that those that are expected to protect and uphold the rule of law are the ones behaving like miscreants and learned tout.
5) NBA is gradually reducing its self worth and respect and I think they should listen to their higher rank at the NJC.
6) The law bodies and legal personalities protesting in support of Onnoghen should give Nigerians a clue that the judiciary system is indeed messed up.
7) Nigerians can see reasons why cases are taking years in court and no single prosecution by the factors revealing itself naturally as a result of the suspension Onnoghen Isn't it an irony that you are mentioning rule of law that your savious buhari has repeatedly flaunt and disobeyed up to the recent suspension of the CJN? |
