She's 💯 right, it's just common sense for a man to earn above 200k in this present Nigeria.
I can't employ that girl and pay her 30k minimum wage. She's not worth 30k pay as a staff. She's not worth marrying someone who earns up to a 100k. A woman's worth is not by intelligence or beauty, but how much she can bring in to the home. A woman that hesitates to bring in children like this is not bringing anything to the table.

No need getting married to him in the first place. Girls like her are from poor homes whose families can barely feed but they come online to form porche.

That's to say she got married to him outta her selfish interest because women take marriage as top priority......A real niggga won't even bother himself, na to give one serious babe belle outside sure pass and leave aunty till menopause hit her.

Someone like me won't even tell her am earning 200k or more, we go dey play the game together.
Can one really get married to a woman and without telling her, she won't know your salary. A woman would know. Even if you have a girlfriend outside, she would know, unless she has lost all interest in you. And that's dangerous.

To be honest, anyone trying to father a child with a salary of less than 250k monthly should be ready to be running all his life. Don’t talk down any lady giving description to her life on this. The things is I can’t marry anyone who will think it’s only me the husband to fetch all the needs for a baby we had together. Hence there is a need for one to think. There is more to life than making babies
That's normal. But no woman should have an entitlement mentality. Some people earn a lot but chose to trek to make their family tomorrow better. That's the sacrifice we all put in.

You have no reason to get married to him if he earn less than 200,000, you're liability to him already
A lot of employed men in Nigeria as at today, would never earn N200k a month until retirement. Some men take as much as over ten years after graduation to earn such. She is not ready. She should never marry.

EriMma1:
Please guys,. Help me reason this matter.
I've had this client for 6 years and last year, I approached them for increment but nothing happened.

This year I threatened to leave and this people promised to do something. When the pay came in last week, na 5k dem add. Like seriously??

Meanwhile, my other clients added up to 20k, and some added 10k the same time I approached all of them last year.

So I wanted to call and ask if it was a mistake but I said let me ask round first and some my colleagues in the same field said they even tried that they have clients of over twenty years that have not added one naira to their pay.

Please, is it worth it especially now that there's serious inflation?
I once taught students home lesson over twelve years ago. Some students I collect 40k, for the same work others 20k and even 10k. Until you have too many clients, everything is negotiable and your clients may determine how much they pay. And it's not easy getting too many clients. Note they are all important.

There's no money manage it. Or they may get someone else perhaps better than you who would do it for less amount.

Anyone can waste energy, whether prepaid, postpaid or estimated billing.

The only difference is that those on estimated billing do not pay for the wasted energy.

A residential apartment that is spending 70k monthly must be wasting energy. What appliances will consume that high amount?
In a GRA where I live, single apartments have so many appliances that are on 24/7 including CCTV. So I understand that.

They don't. It's people with estimated billing that on all lights and other equipment and waste energy. People with prepaid don't waste energy.

Anyone on prepaid should be grateful because even with the tariff increase, you can easily regulate your energy use.
Those on estimated billing are the ones that should be crying.
In my GRA people with prepaid meter previously use 70k a month on just one house, one household. Estimated bills is one third of that value.

Freezer's and light can't be on unnecessary. Once things are frozen just off the freezer. Look for energy saving bulbs.
If you have car now plan your movement,no more using car to go and barb your hair grin.

I was one of those who was against the unplanned removal of subsidy. I support the removal, but is of the view that measures on how to tackle the effect of the removal, should be in motion first.

We might have backed different people during the election, but the reality on ground now is that we are now in this together.

The ones laughing the policies of the government, the ones supporting and even the neutral one,we are all in this together.

My wish is that all the sacrifices Nigerians are making now should never be for nothing.
For how long can you cut costs? How much can you cut? I kept my car at home yesterday and used Keke to work. By 6pm, the heavy rains made it impossible to use a Keke back and there's curfew of Keke not moving from 7pm. I was forced to use Bolt back home and others elsewhere used bolt too. How much expenses can you cut without increasing income or in the alternative becoming poorer. The truth is all of us would become poorer even with a higher salary as costs of everything apart from fuel have increased by above 25% in the last 6 months.

They had no intentions of making good their threat of taking you to court. In fact, the police don't like to go to court for cases like this because every court case is documented and they will have to give account to their superiors how they are utilizing legal resources.

Next time be aware you can't be convicted merely on an officer's word against yours. See how they said your statement contained too much detail? That detail is what would be missing in their fabrications against you and a good lawyer could make a strong case for you.

As an adult in Nigeria, it's good to have a lawyer's number in your contacts, even if it is a pro bono one.
Beyond talking, they can detain you for several days, weeks, months or years awaiting trial. That would be a great waste of time and loss of money. So avoid them as much as possible and pray to God for them to be adequately rewarded.
CrimeRe: My Bitter Experience At The Police Station by smasher1(m): 6:44pm On Jun 23, 2023
Hamachi:
Nigeria’s police are notorious for bribery. I’m sure I’ve noted in an old answer related to Nigeria that we used to frequently get stopped on the road to get our “papers and fire extinguisher checked” only to be ultimately asked for money. This used to happen especially on holidays. It is a bad quality of the police force but when you look at it from another angle, you can’t blame the officers because they are severely underpaid in Nigeria.

Most times they really don’t extort you for it and instead ask rather kindly or they kind of act nice and that implies that they want some money. But it’s still kind of all bribery in the end.

I have livei in Nigeria long enough to witness it but this year, some unit of the police called the SARS has made headlines and is infamous for their unjustified halting of citizens and arrest, and often times being violent and needless to say they demand bribes, in this case extorting people for bribes (rather than “asking rather kindly” as I mentioned above). I do not know much about them but I do know that many people hate them. Many have complained of SARS officials violating their rights, and there have been campaigns for the government to put an end to this unit.

Other than that, from my experience I wouldn’t say Nigeria’s police force is the best when it comes to responding to emergencies. Many years ago, our church was robbed and the police arrived 120 minutes after being called. The station was 5 minutes away on a road that never has any traffic, and this was at night. Granted they did manage to catch some of the robbers, and this was many years ago so maybe things have changed. Things were always pretty peaceful in Ibadan during my last few years there so I thankfully never had to experience any incident that would let me know how well the police respond to crimes.
How are police underpaid? How much is their salary? I strongly disagree with that assertion. For people who are experienced in lying and formenting false stories all because of bail money that they want to extort, something that is free. Abeg, police are well paid.

I knew that this question will spring up and am ready to answer this with all honesty.

In the place I live we have 'the landlord who is married with kids, a bachelor who is due for marriage, a single mother who is focusing on her business, my parents whom i still live with and that troublesome neighbour'.

In the aspect of my neighbours daughther; to be honest I will explain few of her misdemenour cause she is actually the little imp i underated;

I am a blacksmither working under someone and due to the nature of the job we normally have resting day(s) at least a day every week.
So whenever am at home reading or surfing the internet i also pay attention to things happening in my surroundings; until I noticed changes in the behaviours of my Landlord's kids who always play with that my neighbour's eldest daughther.
She lured my two landlord kids a boy and a girl ( 7 & 9) years old respectively into (fornication) ie an abominable act .
Yes that imp did that cos she always lures them into a room with disguise of playing with them and locks the door to avoid been caught.

She have made several attempts of seductions towards me, let me not go further on that imp lifestyle cos using (misdemenour) is an understatement.

I saw many seductions from both mother and daughter.
When they saw that i cant be compromised, and I will be a barrier to their devilish mission she and her mother came up with that heavy allegation so that I can be silenced.

I can swear at any given time that I never gave those my neighbours kids 'mirinda and Biscuit'.
Park out of that place and stop explaining to unknown persons like us.

Does the man have money to cause trouble via lawyer or police. The answer is no. If he does have the money, he won't be living in a one room apartment. He would have parked out since January five months ago.

No one neighbor or their kids should come to your house and same with you. Don't share food or anything apart from Nepa bills. Pray to move to a better apartment ASAP where possible before next house rent and in any new place you go don't share things as explained above for your safety, comfort and respect. The reason for the accusation is that you have given them or the children things to eat previously. So never do that even on holidays like Christmas.

You are living above your means of livelihood. You should be saving 300k a month. Go for a house of say 350k, 30k a month. Fuel for car 20k. Enter public transport. Stop using a generator. Savings from above 288k. Thank me later. I do same with wife and two kids.
