Good afternoon beautiful people.

I need your assistance on this issue. My wife is interested in applying for studies visa in Australia but we need someone to assist us in to procedure. Like how much is their college tuition fee, when is the best time to apply because she plan to travel next year.

Thanks

Good idea.

Carefully choose the course of study if u have PR intentions,

Choose location carefully, regional areas may be better off long term.

Fees: depend on uni and course. Ranges from 14k - 20k AUD/ Semester.

All schools have agents across the world. Even in Nigeria. The schools dont want to deal directly with students. So contact the school.

Best time to come here. Is anytime you get your visa is a good time. But if you are looking after yourself. I will recommend. The beginning. Of the semester before the long vacation so you can hustle unrestricted for school fees.

Good luck.

Hello house, I would like to get clarity on the new working rights for students visa. After student visa have been approved , when can one enter into Australia ?

Also , does the new WORKing rights allow me to start WORKING immediately i arrive , that is ,before my Course commences in Australia? Thanks

This is true. The unlimited work rights end next year. But this is on paper.

If you are like most ppl who work to pay thier fees , you would need to work beyond 40hrs a fortnight. No one is actually close.maeling you like that.

Though we hear that a few ppl have had thier visa cancelled due to village ppl after them. I mean reports. Still be careful sha.

You can comply and maximize the holidays if you can.

What is my fate if i get msc (funded) and I want to bring my family along with me? Is that possible? What if i go alone, can i bring them when i graduate? What if it's PhD?

Let me state that age is not really on my side because I am thinking about PR.

Pls your advise guys. Thanks

Hmnnn...

The maximum age for Immigration is 45yrs old.

If you think you dont have much time, what about your wife. She can unlock it especially if she is younger and has a better chance.

There are some discreet programs that has an age limit of 55yrs or so. It's called DAMA ( Designated Area Migration bla bla bla) . Google it.

See brother, Just access your situation. If you are doing well in Nigeria, you may be better off staying back. But if not, please move.

The worse case scenario, you could leave Australia a multi millionaire. But your kids will have a brighter chance to staying here.

Think am well. Good luck.

Hello everyone
Pls I have a question..
1. Pls I want to know if it’s possible to leave the uk to Australia for study without completing one’s study in the uk.

You would need to find out from your school and the school willing to accept transfer credit. It's not impossible. But you will need to do the research yourself.

UK and Australia are very similar, so that may be a good sign.

Guys, is it advisable to study a Masters program like Masters in Community Development in Murdoch Uni & Victoria Uni that is NOT ACCREDITED by any assessment body nor any accreditation unit in Australia?

I would not recommend it. A big deal for us Nigerians migrating is to eventually gain PR. once any course is not accredited it means you can not be accessed based on your qualification.

You could still come in though and explore many other immigration options depending on your circumstances.

Hi all!
Quick questions pls. I already have am masters degree and I'm in my late thirties with kids. What career path can I follow? Can I do diploma In Nursing or any accelerated BSC degree in demand skills ? Is tuition free for my kids ? Thanks all.

its a good idea you are considering nursing or health science, because health sciences are generally favored in terms of immigration here in Australia. You may not be able to do a diploma because you have already had a higher degree. A Masters in nursing maybe better of.

Tuition is not free for kids. You have to pay.

For couples with kids, having your partner with you will make things alot easier because while one is studying and working part time, the other can work unencumbered . Also consider studying a regional area as you get additional points for doing so, though i hear jobs are not so much in those area but you will reap the benefit of enduring it long term.

Cheer up.

Hello Guys.

I plan on moving to Australia with a Student visa next year. I’d be initiating the process soon.

I’d like to know what the path to PR is like and on average, how much will I earn working annually?

I’d be moving to Darwin.

Good move. Your chances of PR is higher in states like Northern territory, i would advice you read the Northern territory govt website for details. Outside.

Haven been a student here for over 3 yrs, starting with cleaning, construction etc working as a disability support worker is the only job i know a student can conventionally work, study and raise enough money to pay fees and survive on.

Its hard to put a figure to how much you can make because it depends on how much work you can do.

You will be allright in the end.

Good day, I got admitted into Torrens university, Australia. I am finding it hard to charter for the fees and also, living expenses and my CoE is at the verge of being withdrawn. Is there a way I can get scholarship opportunities or student loan opportunities home and abroad?

I'd really love it if I can get a positive response

Congrats on your admission.

To b sincere, studying in Australia is kinda expensive. I generally recommend having 1.5 semester of school fees which should be about 23k AUD. then have another 10k AUD for living expenses.

You will be fine in the end.

Cheer up.

if you are not amongst the elite in Nigeria and you have an oppurtnity to go abroad legally, please do.

Even the elite stack thier kids away abroad for a reason.

May '"Nigeria" not happen to you before you realize how bad things are.

Also, if you remain in Nigeria because not everyone can afford to travel. Make the most of it. dont hold back those who want to go. Wish them well.

At the end, we all just want to be happy with life on our own terms.

Brother, it's just the way we see these jobs in Nigeria. Its seen as a low level job. Here in Australia. It's a money spinner.

Some care workers here out earn some bankers and engineers. My ghanian friend here is building an apartment complex in Ghana where he is going back to.

A man has to do what he has to.

But thinking about it, you can't really blame Nigerians for choosing the UK, Canada and Australia is very very very hard to get their visa, UK is a bit easier, so most people don't get Canada or Australia and their only option is the UK, so they are left with either taking it or remaining in Nigeria until Canada or Australia clicks, remember time is ticking age isn't on their side.

But I Know people who go to the UK and after their studies apply for Australia or Canadian PR.

I'm in Australia, and will be finishing in 3 months. Immigration is also tough here. Even in the regional areas where most ppl rush to. Nothing is guranteed. The issue here is that every year they change thier PR requirements to meet thier needs. So some students get stuck. Health related courses have a slight edge.

I recently got my Canada visit visa , which may be my last resort as canada as it has programs to convert to PR.

PSW pays well here, some ppl use thier 3yrs post study Visa to grind and set up themselves for.the rest of thier lives in thier home country.

Regardless of how it is. Nothing beats a Great Nigeria. Until Nigeria works, it's hard to feel at home elsewhere.

Intresting, do as you please.

You remind of feminist who claim women must be given jobs at top levels dominated by men but fail to keep the same energy seeking jobs at low level jobs likebrick laying, , drivers k, trades ppl also dominated by men.

If your husband was going to be a president/governor, hope you keep this same.energy.

It's Sad to see our common wealth allocated to people as a gift of some sort. Our wealth is in the hands of a few.

I think more concerning is when these people speak at motivational events and tell people to Aspire to perspire giving them a false hope they can do the same without telling your whole story.

Travel / Re: Why Do People In The Diaspora Come Back To Nigeria To Settle When They Get Old? by Smile4mee01: 6:22pm On Jun 20, 2022
As a Nigerian in the Diaspora, I think I qualify to answer this question.

Old age can brutal abroad. We often take the communal life style in Nigeria for granted, here you are by yourself. Your kids, friends and family go thier own way early.

I think it's easier on women because they can kinda blend in with thier kids , but for the men no so well.

Good quality aged care homes cost money even when they are subsidized by government.

What ever pension you have goes further in Nigeria than abroad. Imagine a 70yrs old pensioner who earns 1000 USD, that's barely enough to cover rent, groceries etc. However, you that over 600k in Nigeria for a month. That's more the enough for you to king.

But beyond the financial benefits, if you spent your teen and adult years in Nigeria, there is a yearning to return despite the bad situation back home.

Well I cant recall if I learnt any financial here but i have learnt alot.

Let me put you on some game.

Hard work alone is no longer enough to make you financially independent because you wont be strong forever. Regardless of your age, the earlier you achieve this the easier your life will be.

Invest in
1. Real estate.
2. Shares
3. Businesses.

These three has proven to be the bedrock of all wealthy people all over the world. Real estate alone is responsible for over 90%of the worlds millionaires.( Andrew Carneige)

Don't sleep. Wake up. God is sti the greatest.

Bless up.

Travel / Rich In Africa Vs Poor In America? by Smile4mee01: 4:17pm On May 30, 2022
If you traveled to a 1st world country ie USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, etc. from Nigeria within the last 5 years, you will may have asked yourself this question too.

You quickly realize that; you hustle hard to be ok. The system works and so things like good roads, electricity, and health care is a given. You need not pray for it, but then you realize you may be stuck in that cycle and work till you are old. Too old to then enjoy even retirement.

I really want a soft life; I have worked in Nigeria and work here, and I can confidently say I don’t desire work but will only do it to provide for and secure my future. I met a white man who had retired in his mid-40 and all he does now is flex, volunteer, and travel. And I think that is what life should be about. Freedom. He has a couple of rental properties, no mortgage. Kids are taken care of. But he had the benefit of starting working at 18, etc. I feel I am late to the party but can take advantage of the power of the currency in Nigeria or another African country.

I think the idea of working for 25,30+ as our parents did is long gone. No company wants to be responsible for your financial future. The day my Oga in Nigeria was retires and paid 600k for working 22years in a bank. E shock me. I knew it was up to me to guarantee my financial future.

As a man in his mid-30s, with how hard my wife and I work and save. We can afford to make real estate rental investment decisions and retire in Nigeria in a few years.

I met an old African man at work that got me worried, I don’t want to be that age and still be working. So, I have been asking myself

What must I do now, to retire and secure financial independence for myself and my family?

Is Japa for Forever, would I be happier in an aged care home in old age?

Would you rather be Rich in Africa or Poor/Average in America?

Long before I built my mum a house on her land. I had finished 1 rental property and bought a few other piece of land.

It was when the land was about to be taken that I finished it. Funny enough i live there for 1 yr before i left Nigeria.

Listen to me.

I beleive every man should Put himself first.

Your mum has options. She currently lives somewhere, she has siblings. She has other children. The govt, church and community pity women. Life can be cruel on men, you did not mention your father . I.suppose he may not be alive just like mine.

Don't be emotionally blackmailed oo. I know its.hard because of the connection we have with our mums.

Worse case scenario. Build yours and give her a free flat in it. While you work on setting up your life for better.

Sometimes I think we go over and beyond for a wedding ceremony.

Why should one ask for financial assistance to get married. I still believe ppl can marry under a budget

Stop creating enemies because you want to get married. And if the bride is not happy about it, she is free to leave.

Isnt it clear that it's not by how big or small your wedding is? To think that some of the marriage issues we hear in the news had elaborate wedding.

Had anyone noticed that after most wedding, the event planners, photographer, Caterer , event owner are the richer, they keep selling thier services as mandatory. Smh
