thebosstrevor1:Tell me why a customer needs to use a POS for a non cash transaction when his Mobile app or online banking can do the same from the comfort of his phone? |
tunlex01:Many thanks mate !!! |
Guys please I need advice. I'm in Australia trying do my assessment with VATESSE. I used to work in a bank in Nigeria for over 6yrs. The statement of service given to me by HR is not in line with the format VATESSE will use to access me. Questions 1. Can a letter from anyone in the bank signed on the letter head do? Though ppl i have spoken to are scared as HR frowns at ppl signing such letter. 2. How far do they do in verifying these documents? 3. Is it advisable to attach the 1 page document of statement of service from HR with whatever I can get from a staff who I worked under? Kindly advice please. Regards. |
Guruindahouse:Your wife may be in a better position to study since she is younger and that will earn her more points. But alot of things come into getting PR here. Where you study ? what course you study ? is the course in demand or in the SOL ( Skilled occupation list ) ? Your Phd is also good as it earns you lots of points but if you will be close to 45 around when they are considering your application, its may not work. I would not recommend you and your wife studying simultaneously because its expensive, who takes care of the kids. of would you pay child care cost ? USA too is very good. infact some people migrate from here to USA. USA remains the hub of economics opportunities . Also the immigration there may not be straight forward. Personally, i encourge anyone to go where they can thrive. once you enter. You will get to know things as you go by. For example I have met Master holders who could not get PR with thier Msc, but later got PR by studying carpentry, or being a chef. Its only when you are on ground that you can see or hear these things. |
patc:Bro, you have to do the hard work of reading the 1st thread till date. Ppl don't have time to baby feed you with info. But if you ask specific questions , not general . Ppl will be ready to help. |
Jayboi:I'm also seeking PR here in Australia. I think claiming single may be counterproductive because the pathway to getting PR for your wife later is a long thing. |
Isjaymoh:Good idea. Carefully choose the course of study if u have PR intentions, Choose location carefully, regional areas may be better off long term. Fees: depend on uni and course. Ranges from 14k - 20k AUD/ Semester. All schools have agents across the world. Even in Nigeria. The schools dont want to deal directly with students. So contact the school. Best time to come here. Is anytime you get your visa is a good time. But if you are looking after yourself. I will recommend. The beginning. Of the semester before the long vacation so you can hustle unrestricted for school fees. Good luck. |
humurphia:This is true. The unlimited work rights end next year. But this is on paper. If you are like most ppl who work to pay thier fees , you would need to work beyond 40hrs a fortnight. No one is actually close.maeling you like that. Though we hear that a few ppl have had thier visa cancelled due to village ppl after them. I mean reports. Still be careful sha. You can comply and maximize the holidays if you can. |
Guruindahouse:Hmnnn... The maximum age for Immigration is 45yrs old. If you think you dont have much time, what about your wife. She can unlock it especially if she is younger and has a better chance. There are some discreet programs that has an age limit of 55yrs or so. It's called DAMA ( Designated Area Migration bla bla bla) . Google it. See brother, Just access your situation. If you are doing well in Nigeria, you may be better off staying back. But if not, please move. The worse case scenario, you could leave Australia a multi millionaire. But your kids will have a brighter chance to staying here. Think am well. Good luck. |
Wendyok:You would need to find out from your school and the school willing to accept transfer credit. It's not impossible. But you will need to do the research yourself. UK and Australia are very similar, so that may be a good sign. |
divinelydiffere:I would prefer questions asked here as it helps other Nigerians. I'm happy to help with what I know. There are also some good guys here contributing like @AussieJoan @ AussieJoan: How are you going mate? You.mind going out sometime. Lol |
This is just to encourage someone here. Australia is a good country i wont lie. Congratulations to those who have got thier grants. Though getting PR here is challenging but trust me its worth it. I have not met anyone from Nigeria who regrets coming here. Worst case scenrio, you will return to Nigeria a millionaire. |
Ayob3:https://migrationaffairs.com.au/australian-visa-specialists/#team There are many other lawyers, we even have some nigeran lawyers here https://chichestermigrationservices.com.au/ Disclaimer : I 'm not responsible for the outcome of your communication with any of them. These are lawyers that fly around in our Nigerian whatsapp group. Good luck. https://chichestermigrationservices.com.au/ |
ocpaschal:I would not recommend it. A big deal for us Nigerians migrating is to eventually gain PR. once any course is not accredited it means you can not be accessed based on your qualification. You could still come in though and explore many other immigration options depending on your circumstances. |
Icesnow:its a good idea you are considering nursing or health science, because health sciences are generally favored in terms of immigration here in Australia. You may not be able to do a diploma because you have already had a higher degree. A Masters in nursing maybe better of. Tuition is not free for kids. You have to pay. For couples with kids, having your partner with you will make things alot easier because while one is studying and working part time, the other can work unencumbered . Also consider studying a regional area as you get additional points for doing so, though i hear jobs are not so much in those area but you will reap the benefit of enduring it long term. Cheer up. |
Jessesiri:Good move. Your chances of PR is higher in states like Northern territory, i would advice you read the Northern territory govt website for details. Outside. Haven been a student here for over 3 yrs, starting with cleaning, construction etc working as a disability support worker is the only job i know a student can conventionally work, study and raise enough money to pay fees and survive on. Its hard to put a figure to how much you can make because it depends on how much work you can do. You will be allright in the end. |
eliomjohn12:Congrats on your admission. To b sincere, studying in Australia is kinda expensive. I generally recommend having 1.5 semester of school fees which should be about 23k AUD. then have another 10k AUD for living expenses. You will be fine in the end. Cheer up. |
Nadingo:Yes |
if you are not amongst the elite in Nigeria and you have an oppurtnity to go abroad legally, please do. Even the elite stack thier kids away abroad for a reason. May '"Nigeria" not happen to you before you realize how bad things are. Also, if you remain in Nigeria because not everyone can afford to travel. Make the most of it. dont hold back those who want to go. Wish them well. At the end, we all just want to be happy with life on our own terms. |
Alajiki: Alajiki:Brother, it's just the way we see these jobs in Nigeria. Its seen as a low level job. Here in Australia. It's a money spinner. Some care workers here out earn some bankers and engineers. My ghanian friend here is building an apartment complex in Ghana where he is going back to. A man has to do what he has to. |

Realteeyee123:I'm in Australia, and will be finishing in 3 months. Immigration is also tough here. Even in the regional areas where most ppl rush to. Nothing is guranteed. The issue here is that every year they change thier PR requirements to meet thier needs. So some students get stuck. Health related courses have a slight edge. I recently got my Canada visit visa , which may be my last resort as canada as it has programs to convert to PR. PSW pays well here, some ppl use thier 3yrs post study Visa to grind and set up themselves for.the rest of thier lives in thier home country. Regardless of how it is. Nothing beats a Great Nigeria. Until Nigeria works, it's hard to feel at home elsewhere. |
Intresting, do as you please. You remind of feminist who claim women must be given jobs at top levels dominated by men but fail to keep the same energy seeking jobs at low level jobs likebrick laying, , drivers k, trades ppl also dominated by men. If your husband was going to be a president/governor, hope you keep this same.energy. Good luck. |
I can relate to this. It tiring chasing money bro, I dont even want money for money sake. I want the freedom it provides. This life of having to work all my life does not excite me anymore. I wish happiness from Money and women could last for more than amoment. It causes me to ask, At the end what really is life about. |
If this is true. It's Sad to see our common wealth allocated to people as a gift of some sort. Our wealth is in the hands of a few. I think more concerning is when these people speak at motivational events and tell people to Aspire to perspire giving them a false hope they can do the same without telling your whole story. Danjuma is also on this table. |
This is what happens when you hire a Grade C coach. He tries to pander to you. How on earth is world class. He could have just said something like, it's a decent stadium capable to meeting the demands of the local environment. |
Congratulations to her. However, after her leaked sex tape I dont see her the same anymore. When people like her keep been rewarded, then the decent ladies have no incentive to act right. Are you telling me there is no other female artist that can help promote their brand? Well. Congratulations to her. Wetin be my own. |
As a Nigerian in the Diaspora, I think I qualify to answer this question. Old age can brutal abroad. We often take the communal life style in Nigeria for granted, here you are by yourself. Your kids, friends and family go thier own way early. I think it's easier on women because they can kinda blend in with thier kids , but for the men no so well. Good quality aged care homes cost money even when they are subsidized by government. What ever pension you have goes further in Nigeria than abroad. Imagine a 70yrs old pensioner who earns 1000 USD, that's barely enough to cover rent, groceries etc. However, you that over 600k in Nigeria for a month. That's more the enough for you to king. But beyond the financial benefits, if you spent your teen and adult years in Nigeria, there is a yearning to return despite the bad situation back home. |
This is a tough question for me. I have spent a large part of of my past worried about my future. I get turbulent whenever I want to make a decision, will this work? Am I doing it right? Does God approve of this? He must be tired of me asking for directions.... Adulthood is tough... |
