Hmnnn.... The truth is that employees are not wired to be wealthy, the company pays you just enough to remain with them. For even those who earn millions monthly, it's a small percentage. What I can advice is this, it's more about what you do with what you earn. Investment is the only option to reaching wealth as a regular employee. 1. Real estate 2. Stock and shares 3. Businesses I recommend the first 2 because you can engage in them while still working. 3. Can consume your time. Haven said that, Contentment is great gain. Your health, family ,relationships with God and people can fetch you more happiness than wealth can. Peace |
Julietsim:Dear Juliet, The matter is deep. Life is getting harder for men which has translated to women finding relationships difficult. Alot of Men have found peace away from women, we ask ourselves if marriage does not gurantee happiness why make it a priority. When men finally choose to marry, it borne out of the desire to have children. Men now know that women dont love them for who you are but what they can provide. Some men have come to understand that sex is not even as cracked up as we think it is and just a tickling of sensations. I still think there are many men wanting to marry, it's just that women hypergamy instinct has made the men invisible to them In a nutshell, Is it time for women to discuss if monogamy has benefitted the society? |
efficiencie:Hmnn... Well said This one deep O |
Rozcol:Well said. I won't lie to you, that fear has kept lots of Men and women happily single. If marrying someone does not gurantee peace of mind. Why rush in? |
In Addition to what many other Nairalanders have said. I think Life in general is getting harder for Men and relationships are getting tougher on women. With world population growing and resources thinning, this will get worse. Also, women have evolved. Women have become more educated, financially ok, female rights. And men have not adapted to this. Women expectation have also gone up. Social media has not helped kinda. Sometimes, we complicate relationships and marriage. Some men have no energy and resources for trad wedding, white wedding, court wedding, introduction, registry and still have no guarantee that they will find happiness there. The matter deep |
Sometimes when I think of the.many requirements our women want us to do to get married. To marry, no dey hungry me. I am an introvert, and want peace and quiet. Once I can get the approval form her parents in a traditional parlor wedding. We can go get the marriage certificate alone. There is more to life to worry about. Besides, none of these gurantee a happy married life. |
Regardless of your relationship with your children. Men, please set yourself up to be independent. Many men will.not live long enough to enjoy any financial blessings your kids can give. Do the best, you can for them. But dont forget yourself. The truth is that women and mothers enjoy the sympathy of kids, church, community better than men. Being a good father is sometimes a thankless Job. Let's face it, many men won't have the privilege of spending time with kids. The burden of performance is on men. Old age is a scary time for most men, you spend your best years catering for others only to be abandoned in your old age. Your friends will start to die one by one. Your health fails. Na old age we dey know good wife. Dont get it twisted, continue to be good to your kids and family. |
Smile4mee01:Please any advice will be appreciated. Thanks |
Guys I need advice. I am already in Victoria, Australia on a student VISA. However my study is not on the skilled list, and i am reluctant to change course to health or nursing as i have no passion for it. I am 36, a very Single Male. People tell me to either marry or consider the Skilled list option. I have Bsc. Mathematics & Statistics, UNILAG 2008 and worked in Banking in Nigeria for 6yrs & 2 yrs before coming here. I worked in branch operations and not related to my Course. Now Mathematics & Stats is on the skilled list, but how do i sort out the work experience to help my course. I will be happy is anyone can help. Thank you |
I am a deep Introvert and am worried about my mental health. I will be 36 next month and don't have a relationship, no kids, and money is not a problem because I work and study. I have noticed myself been in seclusion lately, thinking and thinking. I am outside Nigeria, and thoughts of suicide have been more frequent. I do make seldom an outburst of prayer, but it seems not to be enough. Does anyone here have thoughts about what to do? |
I still somt understand why so.e women cant pass the same.message without exposing thier body. |
Guys the story long. Adedutan was apparently sacked and not retired like they earlier said. So adedutan took the matter to CBN. What happened was that Otunba otudeko, chairman and owner of Honeywell wanted some uncollatarized additional loan from FBN using shares as collateral which is against the ethics of banking. If you remember well, the baking crisis of Nigeria was once attributed to this. Shares is an investment a volatile asset. So as you know 9ja now, they use ojoro sack adedutan put thier guy there. See ehn alot of dirty rackets are happening in banking , not just here in Nigeria but worldwide. So CBN gave them FBN Query, for honey well to pay within 48hrs its outstanding loan. So all the people who approved the precious loan not following due process are affected. This life ehn, oga get oga. My advice : As an employee, dont be loyal to your company o, mind your business. When the chips are down, your compnay no send you. This same banks get internal audit department ooo, claiming they are monitoring everything. Sacking ppl who floated procedures. Did anybody see the sharing of cash to victims of a fire market in the North. I thought there was cashless policy. Smh Still love the bank, not the people. |
Personally, Advice to Men : if you have no intention to marry, Stay away from ladies of marriageable age because they are controlled by thier desires to lock down a man. When you dont marry them, the hurt cuts deeper than when she was young because she knows she lost you. All the women at work, chruch, street around 25 - 35 yrs. I keep arms length, I keep it strictly professional to avoid stories that touch. When the time come to marry, I'll close eye and pick one prayerfully. |
Lesson learnt. Stop putting your financial future in the hands of Govt, try and make wise investment decisions while you are young. I want to appeal to the men in particular. You see many women pensioners are often pitied and helped by thier children, church, community etc. People hardly send us Men oo. So please wise up. An old man who wakes up early to go to work was most likely sleeping when he was young.... African proverb |
This is one of the many reasons some people and not married because they expect to hear one special voice saying this is your wife or husband. Relationship pastors and councellors are feeding off this fear but we need to go back to the bible days, or even before then. Life is simple, we make it complicated. |
jaelz:Hmnn... I think the question should be When did the wearing of a ring symbolize a sign of love? Who sold this to us as being the right thing to do? Adam and Eve had no ring, I can't remember if it's anywhere in the Bible, Quran, or even traditional religion? Let's wake up guys, we need to start questioning somethings. |
Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you." I came across this text and it got me thinking if the curse of being a woman can be avoided? The innate desire to have children have a husband has led many women go to early grave, though i must acknowledge that science has made childbearing easier. But i am yet to meet a woman who does not think, talk about being married, boyfriend etc. Before the sin occurred in the garden of eden, was eve just lowkey enjoying just being alive and keeping Adam company? |
PeaceIlya:I don't think it's compulsory, however, if God who made Man and saw that it was not good for him to be alone, then he must know best why its good to have some sort of human companionship. For the woman, its kinda tougher because her creation was primarily for companionship to the man, children, etc things that are easier achieved in the confines of marriage. Sometimes, I think this is the curse of being a woman sometimes, that innate desire to be loved and love drives them searching in wrong places leading to some of their death and derail. Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you." I also think Monogamy has added fuel to this fire If Polygamy is the norm like it is in the old bible days and still is in the Arab nations. Many women will be happy being a wife, have a child or 2, and enjoy the gift of life. Lastly, if she is happy that way. More grace to her, but she should not complain in future if she finds it unberable. |
While this is a good development, at least its better than someone somewhere embezzling the money. With Nigeria unity been called to question by the occurrence in security in recent times. Personally, I feel, the niger delta should have more of these infrastructure developments because the bulk of our national income comes from there. It's still a shame that the NIger delta is not as developed as it should be. Why should we continue to build infrastructure in places where it will be least needed or appreciated. I can assure you that most of its students and tutors will be from the south, and that's because the north and its leadership has not shown that they are serious about educating their people and emancipating them. Look at the insecurity mess happening in Nigeria, the north has been in power the most in Nigeria and yet they are the least developed. With Nigeria having the largest population in Africa, why should we not have the biggest and best hospital in Africa. Why cant other African countries come here for medical tourism rather than fly out of the continent. Will the government continue to fund and employ the Medical graduates from there ? Or are we just training medical doctors for them to fly abroad for greener pastures? I come in peace. |
Hmnnn... Some. women can play emotional blackmail and make it seem she had no idea what she was getting into. I just think she lost an opportunity to show the royal family how amazing mixed/black people are. Now I know, no black woman go near that palace again. This is similar to those Dangote side chics making noise online, they just cant shut their mouth. |
If as a man you marry a woman richer than you, you did not marry her o. She settled for you. See ehn. Women operate under Hypergamy instincts, it's hard for a woman to respect a man she outperforms financially. That's why at the least they marry a man on thier finaicial level. A man can see a poor girl hawking and working a low paying job and marry her. Ie. Christiano Ronaldo wife |
Kingrefreshed:Late bro, he died in my hand for hospital long long ago. I be the last son, so na me dey take care of am. Divorced my mum long ago. That's another thing, Confirm it. Women have a longer life span than men, so most likely mothers will continue to be around with thier kids long after men don go. |
Kingrefreshed:It has been like this since the beginning of time and I don't see it changing. Its the curse of being a Man o. Just accept it and muveee. Maybe it's Gods way of ensuring women are catered to. Even during war, them no dey touch women and children. Guy, just focus on what you can change and leave the rest. Even me wey dey type, one of my Joy is that I built my mum a small 2-bed house and give her small money regularly. I see the blessing bro, I never dry dry once for my life. Congratulations to his Mum and a job welldone to Macaroni. |
Kingrefreshed:Hmnnn. I have thought the same many times. Being a good Father is sometimes a thankless Job. Regardless of how hard you try, the bond between a mother and her child is stronger most times. I think alot of Men recognize this and dont fight it. They just lay the scene thier life. Here is another reason why Men need to take care of themselves, when you grow old, your children might not send you o. Haven said that, We know many mothers are reaping from what they had invested years ago. So it's still a good thing to cater to your parents regardless, I think the blessings attached are immense. In a nutshell ehn. Successful children are some sort of insurance to mothers especially, while the fathers are contented with just leaving a good name to the next generation. |
I appreciate all of our beautiful women. But the day african women wake up and realize they don't need Brazilian wigs, bone straight, perusvian hair and all is a scam.and business to make you feel a certain kind of way. That day women will emanicpate themselves. Any african lady i often see rocking her hair hits me different. Infact its synanymous with bleaching. Just as Michael jackson was made to believe he needed to turn white, same thing is done to African women. Everything a man and woman needs to live and fulfill life is given at birth, the rest na jara. Let me off the mic before they come for me. |
Hello house please I need help, what can I study in Australia with only waec result, age 21 that will lead to pr.[/qluote] That's interesting from a 21 yr old. If funds is not a problem, The answer starts with what do you want to do. But generally courses with a high PR are health sciences. Nursing, doctor etc But you can start here by taking a cert4 in disability and get into the system. From there the sky is your starting point. But if you have passion for something else, check for it on the skilled list. Haven said that the skilled list changes every year. Good luck. |
Offpoint1:Very true. Look at those NBA players. |
Mcslize:Hmnnnn... Its not impossible but its very tough to convince a Visa officer to approve it. What people do is come here with a course in line with thier precious study or work experience , after the 1st semester you can switch to any course you want. But that would cost you more money. The thing is that these people know that nursing leads to PR so they will scrutinize you well. This is where canada beats Australia. PR is attached to skill here , while in canada PR is sure for reason that you studied in their country. Good luck. God bless your hustle. |
Xkoba:No, Most universities are affected as they had relied heavily on international student fee. Keep an eye on the vaccination which begins next month. I believe once they are done with vaccinations here, they can now open up. Despite the border closure, a few people are coming in o but pay up to 3k to 6k AUD for quarantine. |
It has always baffled me that women and society in general expect men to provide, yet a large number of women are in the workforce taking up jobs that some men could have had to better provide for their family ? Women, life is getting tougher for men ooo. You guys seem not to know. Brother, just run. Ba this kain wife you go hustle hustle hard to provide for her and the family she no go approaciete am. If you die in the process , she will date the next guy available. |
Women don't often show their true colors when they want to marry. Thank your stars she has told you her mind. One reason women easily walk out of marriages these days is because they only provide the bare minimum and are not invested emotionally and financially into it. So it's kinda easy to walk away. This is an example of why I believe most women dont love a man, they love what you can provide. Once that dries up, they are happy to entertain the next man next door with the bag. See ehn, hard times will come in your journey of life. It's obvious you will be on your own when they come. Dont be emotional about women, cut it and move. Now the next women might not be perfect, but might be a better evil to deal with. Unfortunately, as the world goes on. Marriages and relationships will get harder on women as life gets tougher for men. |
