Well am sure by now this shouldn't come as a surprise anymore. Or wasn't it on live TV we saw these savages shoot dead protesting miners the other day? My take on this is, they probably saw him as the cash cow they see other Nigerians as there and when the poor fellow refused to cooperate, got the assault meted out to him. shame...hope justice is served accordingly |
For those who missed the match, a replay is currently being aired on AIT as we speak |
"MEET DON AKIM THE NIGERIAN BODY BUILDER AND HIS BRITISH FIANCEE, THEY ARE BOTH WORLD BODY BUILDING CHAMPIONS"
It was the O.P who added that, in the original dailymail article, there's nowhere he was referred to as a Nigerian. The point is if it was that he hacked someone to death, him being a Nigerian would have been the boldest part of the headline as well as being constantly hammered on. |
playmode: And they say we in diaspora must come back.Come back come do wetinAnd to think it was you ranting here not so long ago about the xenophobia y'all suffer in your south african base, you don't think this attitude is exactly why Nigeria is as it is, where as long as it doesn't affect you, you are not bothered and everyone shifting blames and not looking for how they themselves can be the proponents of that change. smh....as someone said wait till they shoot u dead over a nokia cell phone or at best deport you over yellow fever crap, you village is the best place you'ld end up, ode! |
Patiently wating for news of the capturing or killing of that bearded mindless mass murderer abubakar shekau and before i can be completely relieved......the only way to totally kill off a deadly beast is to cut off its head! |
Chai today wey be chanpions league final, see F up. |
Well looking closely at the picture, it does appear to be him plus this page gives a lot more insight about this man. home.comcast.net/~damolalola/myweb/2002_Set_Meeting.htm |
how can u influence other African countries wen u can't provide basic needs for your own... Please use common sense
You are still not getting the critical point here miss! I have failed to understand why its so hard to understand a string of simple words clearly articulated! You don't have to be the richest or the best to be influential stop mixing them up!, I give you a critical example, a documentary aired on the BBC about 2 young men somewhere in Africa desperately poor with no means of livelyhood, everyday they go to refuse dumps to scavenge for food and other scraps they can get yet with all these challenges, they are still very organised, happy, cheerful and very optimistic about life that someday things will get better..a very emotional life story, and from the replies to that documentary, a lot of british folks identified with that situation that hey they have much more going on well for them yet they complain, and that changed their perception about their government not doing enough for them which sparked off the london riots then....those people were certainly influenced by the lives of those 2 young men in the documentary...the poorest man can influence the richest man with simple things such as his way of life! Get it? No? :-/ |
-SA Constitution, thanks to Mandela, brought democracy and equality for all, it's wants only about benefiting the blacks ( including color reds and Indians) that had been deprived by past rules, but equal treatment of all, based on gender, race, sexual orientation, cultural beliefs...freedom of expression and association, it was more than brining black people out of colonization but reconciling every one with in South Africa.it influenced other countries to eliminate gender inequality and racial barriers. Other African countries have incorporated this in their own legal systems....for instance, SA courts can use Namibian and Zimbabwean cases to make decisions in their own cases and vice versa... SADC countries have been developing their own law and the developments have been influenced by South African Law -The famous quote by Mandela, "our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure..." influenced the rest of the world. Instead of blaming our inadequacy of past events, we have to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and become who we want to be. - a lot of Africans have been able to make something of themselves while living in SA, better than they could have done in their own countries... Excluding those who still feel they world owes them free stuff and freedom to do as they please even if they are destroying other people's economies. - they also proved that charity should begin at home. The government has managed to provide ACCESS to adequate housing, medical health care services, quality education. Whether a person decides to cease the opportunity or not, this has been made available for all people people within SA.
Fair enough...took you quite a long time to think up too. Lol |
the SA legal system has great influence not only in Africa but in the rest of the world! Ever heard of any country trying to develop is legal, political structure to that of Nigeria nope
Stop giving blanket answers, makes u seem like a bare faced liar regardless whether u being truthful or not especially when the answers cannot be easily identified with, just explain how! Before you answer my question with another question or another blanket answer as observed as a trend in your replies, I'ld give an example: If I were to say am the best architect in the world, what would be the proof? Because I've designed the chrysler building, the fallin water house, the guggenheim museum, the birds nest and the robbie house. Now shall we try again? ![]() |
so does kidnapping children in order to kill them and sell their body parts for money...
Yep they are, but you said on the other post that yours folks weren't animal-like in their behaviour until I pointed that out then only seemingly admitted. Lol smh... I understand you have to be patriotic but let's be honest here, Nigeria is indeed more influential..SA could have a better economy and infrastructure but that's only to be enjoyed by SAns and of course the immigrants. What we saying here is what happens in SA that can affect the behavioural tendencies of people in accra, lagos, harare, maputo, nairobi etc? U.S.A is the most influential today because of the simple fact that when we turn on our T.V, we see america, when we tune to the nearest radio station, we hear america, when we go to the nearest fast food joint, we'ld most likely eat America, that's influence! Get it? If after these you still don't then I'ld have to accept you are way thicker than a lead wall *sigh* |
but they don't burn up students who have been falsely accused of crime stripping girls naked in public and molesting them, for stealing phones lynch a person for stealing a cigarette... molest female students in hostel and posting pics on the internet for stealing a phone even without evidence that the phone was actually stolen Beheading your own women in order to make more money Cutting ur own children to sell their body parts Bombing your own people in the name of Boko Horam...innocent men, women and children having their lives taken away unjustly this is not even attacks against foreigners...Nigerians against nigerians Is this the kind of influence you are proud of? You destroy ur own ruthlessly, yet you call yourselves the giants of africa If you can't influence ur own to create a better Nigeria, what makes u think u can be influential to others?
Lol this coming from a south african is something like a round hole in a square peg! I mean c'mon sweety let's get real..we all know the statistics of how a girl is supposedly raped every 36 seconds in SA, how an average of 52 violent murders are reported daily (emphasis or reported cuz the none reported ones could be staggering), we all watched in horror how south africans set ablaze innocent migrants during the xenophonic attacks...so really you not making any defining point...........again, the question asks who is more influential! Not whose more developed. If nollywood regardless of how shitty the movies are were to shut down today, millions in Africa would mourn!! That's infulence!, the word, a whole lot of africans adore Nigerian music and have a lot of Nigeiran music acts as idols, how do u thinking Nigerians have managed to sweep majority of the music awards there is even in your very own backyard? That's influence! Nigeria single handedly quelled the bloodshed in liberia and sierra leone, that's influence! Not how developed ur economy is and how many people are in ur schools or all that crap. Its whose more influential not whose better! There's a clear distinction. Don't get it twisted hun. |
at least they still uphold their dignity...they don't behave like animals
If serially rap*ing an 18 month old baby thinking it cures aids, shooting a pregnant woman cuz of a nokia 3310 aint animal-like behaviour or even less then what it really is beats my imaginations silly! ![]() |
Apart from cultism what did Soyinka contribute to NATIONAL development? Apart from making weed seem cool to youths, what did Fela contribute to NATIONAL development? Answer these questions and you have the answer to Chinua Achebe's contribution!
What did soyinka contribute to NATIONAL development? Soyinka is a known social critic of the injustices meted out to the NIGERIAN masses by the government regardless of which ethnic segment is involved. He speaks the truth regardless of whose ox is gored. He was once a spokesman for the MEND when their struggle for justice was still upright and only withdrew when It assumed a criminal dimension. We all can't forget when MEND attacked the atlas cove facility in lagos and the OPC tried to put an ethnic coloration into it only for soyinka to dispel the words of his own kinsmen. He stands for the oppressed in an unabashed outspoken fashion and has stood by the ibos in times of their oppression (even you can't deny that). What has fela contributed to NATIONAL development? Now I don't know if you asked that out of sheer ignorance or simply because you were high on cheap fruit punch. Fela was a thorn in the flesh of the military government...he exposed the monumental corruption, animalistic brutality and serial injustices of the military government to the outside world through his music, his mother was gruesomely murdered, he was serially beaten even up to the point of the threshold of death, he was jailed for his outspoken nature all in the fight for justice but still he stood resilient, resolute up to the point of his death. His bravery was a rallying point and source of inspiration to the suppressed masses. 15 years after his death his legacy is still very much alive. Stage plays to highlight his personality continue to gather numerous high profile awards and even his music defies time and still finds relevance in our time as the social malaise that was the fulcrum of his music is still rife! I doubt any other African can have such lastin legacy as him aside mandela. Asking such dumb question is like asking what bob marley has done to jamaicas development. Now to the late prof, just like music, literature and writings are also powerful tools that can be used to monumental proportions and can cause a lot of havoc if used wrongly. In my opinion I think Achebe used this tool in a wrong fashion in his last piece, I wasn't born during the civil war and don't know much about it except for what I've read and heard about it BUT it was crystal clear from his last book that this man was still very much bitter and resolute in his ibo supremacist ideologies, a piece that further divides the country along ethnic lines. This is no meaningful contribution to NATIONAL development and is not in any way progressive. I like the man no doubt, and I respect him very much for his contributions in promotin Africa through his books and he is no less a great African than fela or soyinka but truth be told, he was a TRIBALIST not a NATIONALIST. |
You didn't provide any reply to my inquiry :/ |
Hello pls can I know the price to replace an hp envy dv7 full HD (1900x1080) screen. |
It took just 2 Nigerians to hack the mails of.....wait for it.....The Ghanaian armed forces combined! Lol what kinda f-kced up "armed forces" is that to begin with? They must be running the "base" from a scraggy and dinky flat with a few junked up computers. Lmao "armed forces" indeed! sorry ass burnt black coloured half decomposed foul stench of horse shits! Lol |
A screen shot to buttress your points would have been amazing tho. |
boron10: If this is the kind of english unilag graduates speak, then i bet Jonathan's reason for rebranding the name is highly justifiableSo let's look at it from your angle, you mean to say simply changing the name to Moshood Abiola University will enhance the English speaking capabilities of UNILAG graduates or will generally enhance the learning environment of the institution? You my friend are the one who needs "rebranding" |
mcqt21: Mau student,,hv u guz chekt d names printed on ur graduate certific8 latelLol ode |
Demdem: Good development. The Retardeen was just being foolish for renaming such.Foolish is an understatement. The man just shot himself in the foot, his political motives for such ill-adviced move has turned out a political albatross as he has successfully gathered more enemies and hate from the SW folks he sought to appease. The fisherman sure makes the job of his apologists very hard! ![]() |
snoopy: Move with time bruh!Means that aspect has long been rejected and put aside. At least for now |
I hope he'ld be able to match and even surpass the standards attained by his predecessor shofoluwe....like building more hostels for us congrats prof. Bello |
Demdem: I thought the Retardeen named this school MAULAGMove with time bruh! |
Tinyemeka: I rest my case. It's quite obvious I'm a novice in hardware archi compared to you. Though I read the part where you stated 'customised', I didn't believe the 12GB RAM bit. You use the machine for 3D archi drawings, then I understood. Sorry.Very much sir. Am a bit surprised you don't know a laptop can support a 12GB ram memory tho. A laptop can support up to 16GB of ram max. Desktops support up to as much as 32GB Ram max, altho there are some special alienware laptop models that support up to 32GB of ram. |
Tinyemeka: For no reason whatsoever, I think you are lying. No offfiense!Lol no offence taken, for the sole reason of my conviction that you are not very familiar with computer hardwares. Or maybe I should ask what you think is the "lie" is it that the hardware I quoted there does not exist? Or that such hardware can't give u a rating of 7.1? If the latter is the case then you are not very familiar with computer hardwares. I actually attached a screen shot in the first post but somehow the thing didn't appear, probably cuz am using a mobile. Probably u missed the part where I said I didn't buy the laptop off a store shelf, I built it to my own specs from HP....processor rating is 7.6, ram - 7.9, aero graphics - 7.1, gaming graphics - 7.1, HD transfer rate 7.5 |
ciphoenix: i7 ivy bridge is 4 processors Sir, but with 8 threadsLol its 4 "cores" not "processors" with each core having support for multi threading with combined 8 threads..in terms of its calculations algorithm, its safe to say there are 8 processors. |
lanre80: @Fellis, u sure got a good system. Big girlI more than maximise its potentials, I study architecture and hence do A LOT of CG that involves 3D renderings and animations for myself and for corporate individuals and firms as well...I've figured if u really want a good rig, the best bet is to customise, that way u get to choose the things u want inside cuz you can never get the perfect rig in the market, if ur processor is good, ur graphics card my be crap, or u have a good graphics card and processor but crappy ram size |
HQ: Great package you got there. What's the screen size? Its a 17 inch screen |
HQ: Yeah right. What a Lie. Even on my fastest PC (Custom Built Desktop), I couldn't get past 7.7It depends, if he runs on windows 8 then its possible cuz the benchmark was increased to 9.9 on windows 8 |
Mine 7.1 - dv 7 7000 quad edition customised with my preferred specs from H.P. RAM - 12Gb, processor - intel 3rd generation core i7 (8 processors), nvidia 2gb dedicated graphics card, SSD hard drive. |
Do not be decieved, the so called "absolute plan" is also LIMITED to 1GB data. Airtel will try to use persuasive terms to describe the plan to trick unsuspecting subscribers. The only thing that is absolute about the plan is the unlimited number of email addresses that can be configured as against just one on the complete plan, and if you ask me, the price margin of 2800 - 6000 is way too much for what its worth, am ok with just one email which is all I have anyway. I was decieved once and even called their cc to be sure of what I was stickin my head out for and the daft cc rep even told me the data was unlimited albeit ignorantly as she sounded quite unsure but alas, I did the 3k plan and my 1GB was gladly allocated by airtel . I repeat Do NOT be decieved! |
