I can imagine what will be running through the minds of those affected. After staying home for almost 5 weeks, then you start a new month with being fired. I wish them all the best and hope better things come their way |
Rather than keep quiet , the authorities should explain what this means . Is there a duplicate copy of this receipt? Or is someone being mischievous here ? |
Who did this to you guys in kogi ? |
Is this a joke ? |
Is this a joke or something in that line ... |
Why worry about a name, I honestly do not think that is so important as a startup. Provide service/product that everyone would love and obviously want. You will be shocked at how people will embrace the new name. Who would have imagined Konga or Jumia will be a household name. There are more important things in building a business than a name. |
I keep wondering why we are never forward thinking in Nigeria, lots of things that we should plan ahead for, we wait till last minute. Lagos has been on lockdown for about 4 weeks, the roads are in a terrible mess. The reason for major traffic in Lagos is due to bad roads , how come the government with all its special advisers, special assistants, special coordinators , commissioners never thought of quickly fixing the roads during the lockdown. I am aware that VIPs including his excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visit nairaland.com from time to time, if you are reading this, get your team to work, let them begin fixing the roads. There are many benefits of fixing these roads especially at times like this ,we really want to avoid over crowded bus stops. Let's not think like we used to prior to lockdown. We need to think of the implications of not fixing these roads. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, we appreciate the good work you and your team are doing in Lagos especially during trying times like this.PLEASE FIX LAGOS ROADS. What do you guys think ? |
If this is true, then I weep for Nigeria. We have lots of smart people here, why can't government urgently fund them to begin research and development into many of the things we spend billions of dollars to purchase from foreign companies. |
Really sad |

So how would a resident of Kenya pay for items on Amazon or a domain name with Hostgator, they don't have PayPal options. Will appreciate more details. KenyaNairobiGuy: |
Hello and 'welcome' to Nairaland I understand there are some countries that have restrictions on how their nationals can make payments online. In Nigeria, anyone with a bank account can have a visa or master card. With these cards, Nigerians are able to make payments on foreign websites(dollar payments). How does this work in Kenya ? I will appreciate more details on how the payment process work in Kenya. |
Lol so you truly have people you call father and mother ? Why then do you come online to spill rubbish. Hunger? Stupidity? Ignorance? Kid, get something meaningful to engage with. Realtalk20: |
I am not a hypocrite, I tell you one thing son, pray for God's blessings , work hard , be the best at what you do. Trust me, when things go right with you in Nigeria, running with your family and not planning to return will not cross your mind. lollybizzu: |
Look at this imb-ecile, you are so rude, you wake up at 2am and insult those that can hire your parents . Lol . I will not blame you.... you think traveling out of Nigeria is now a huge accomplishment. Realtalk20: |
Getting serious |
I stated what I feel about the amount and I still maintain that $2600 is not a lot of money if you live in Canada. Poverty is really a terrible thing. It will make you think and do things you will not normally do. Continue waiting for government handouts. EVILFOREST: |
Kid, go to romance section where you entertain your likes. Do you think everyone here is hungry. I am stating my opinion. stanliwise: |
$2600 is not a lot of money if you live in Canada. How long will it take you to spend that . If you will no longer return to Nigeria because of that amount, I sympathize with your situation. |
Nice try

What do you think

What do you guys think ?

Pmexpress again , they are unable to sell their papers, so they resort to "juicy and fictitious" stories. How did she figure it out in the lockdown. |
That's not true, that's the amount some low level workers pay as rent. In a city like Houston, the average rent is about $1000 but you can get cheaper ones if you dont mind living in area where drug dealing and killings is no big deal . foleskay: |
Do you live in America to confirm that they will not pay for rent next month. Or you are going by what the news media is saying ? Do you think those apartment complexes are owned by the government? blowjohn: |
It's not just about rent, my point is that $1200 is really nothing , you could be paying about $300 for auto insurance ( amount depends on several factors), what about electricity bill and other bills that are recurring, that money is not a lot. Also note that the cheapest 1 bedroom you can find in a city like Houston is about $700+ unless you live in third ward and the likes. I hope you realize that money is for those earning within a certain income bracket. If you earn over a $100k, you will not be getting anything. Maybe someone out there can educate me on what you will do with $1200 that is a one time thing. linearity: |
Lol... $1200 and your rent is $1300 for the month. That's not a lot of money for those converting it naira.. |
Are the poor ONLY in the north ? |
You will still have to pay for the cost of the ticket at the end of the day. This is not like a free service. For now, i will prefer to remain here than go into another 14 day isolation upon arrival in Texas. |
