This late move always divides the party, especially those that have been on the queue since...only God knows. Let's see how it plays out. Any attempt by the PDP National to accept Obaseki will be resisted in the State. He should have opted for a smaller party instead. My fingers are crossed already to see what plays out. |
thatigboman:An ordinary member that Obaseki went with some of his colleagues to plead? An ordinary member who the party once chose to head a reconcilation committee? I don't feed from his table but you went too far saying Tinubu is an ordinary member. He is a party leader just like Buhari who does not have any post in the party aside being a leader. |
PoshBoss007:Remember you learn by experience, APC have learnt with what happened in Bayelsa and they don't want a repeat of it. Remember PDP being successful in Bayelsa will be waiting to repeat it in Edo. |
I beg to disagree with all the Godfatherism peddlers, Obaseki cannot be wiser and taller than the party leaders who despite appeals up till today refused to do the needful as regards the 14 lawmakers that were denied of their elected positions. If he's not used as a scape goat, I bet you several of such will repeat itself I'm the near future. I do not care if he wins or not I whatever party he may decamp to. You cannot be greater than the political party you rode on to victory. Plus what happened in Bayelsa has thought APC a lesson. He should go and sort his certificate inconsistencies out. |

Karemarealty288:Ambode still had some of his guys with him. It was on the election day that the election result showed that he had been dining with his enemies. I just feel Obaseki should get to work rather this media war. Oshiomole rarely speaks since the advent of this saga, which shows he's cooking up something. He should work/strive more, do less talk, he's looking disadvantaged as the day approcahes, his Information/Communication Commissioner resigned yesterday while I'm made to understand more are still coming, if his inside cabinet keeps leaving one by one, then who will fight for him? Remember politics is a game of numbers. |
DeRay98:Two wrongs don't make a right they say, Obaseki if truly is a politician should have gotten wind of those 14 lawmaker's assignment to plan his impeachment, why allow them pass through primary, get the party's flag and contest without checkmating them. Why wait until they were elected before taking action? You see where he is at fault? 14 out of 24 is a majority, and you feel all will be well? For these 14 to have emerged it means they are reckoned with in their various units, wards, LG and zones, they may have Godfather's too. His Advisers messed up big time, they even allowed the matter drag up until this time without addressing it. The excuse that he will be impeached does not hold water, is that how easy it is to inpeach a sitting Governor in Nigeria? How many of such have been impeached, Naija wey be say the Governor is also the Speaker of the house in proxy. He messed up big time, and I'm afraid he might pay dearly for it. Shalom. |
The godfather and godson are both rogues fighting for self interest but my concern is why Obaseki up till today refused to swear in those 14 democratically lwcwted lawmakers. He goofed on that one, he has lost the party structure in his state, Oshiomole was just unfortunate to come from the state. If I was the Chairman of the party too, I would sanction a direct primary, it is dangerous to both the party members and its fortune in the state if he is to be given a free pass. |

enirock:Well the bolded is what you were told and you chose to believe what you want to, but may I ask you if Obaseki was not in the know of whatever terms or agreement that would have been made? In politics loyalty is key, it shows you can be trusted anyday anytime, loyal people enjoy in politics, that's why Aregbesola, Amaechi, James Faleke and others are where they are today. You don't expect me to recommend someone I feel or has an antecedent of a snitch for a political office. A lot of people felt Ambode would be compensated with a ministerial appointmemt but alas he wasn't, just because of trust issues, what IF he gets it and backstabs his benefactor just like Obaseki is doing. The battleline has been drawn, he should go and test his popularity at the primaries, I was just laughing when Obaseki was trying to use Corona virus as an antic to foil the direct primaries, if the NWC says it, it will hold, the same way there is interstate lockdown and all of them are travelling across states, converging at Abuja, Lagos et al. |
ogbonti:Just look at you, even if you are a teenager in Nigeria politics you should know there are some people EFCC cannot investigate. Do you know how many petitions that were submitted against Tinubu for the Bullion van saga? Yet EFCC claimed they've not seen any and Tinubu came out publicly to say it is his money and he chose to spend it anyhow he wants to. EFCC get permission to arrest or prosecute some persons. If you're in the good book of the powers that be, no EFCC can touch you. Obaseki should have known that his inability to oust Oshiomole from office as Chairman shows the powers that be supports him. |

Heffalump:Godfather or no Godfather let's call a spade a spade, Obaseki bit more than he could chew, he didn't get to that position all by himself, he rode on the popularity or influence of some people or persons. To me he missed it the day he refused to swear in those 14 house of assembly lawmakers despite intervention from the party hierarchy. Politics is a game of numbers, as well as majority, he lost their support as well as their loyalist's support. Godfatherism cannot die in Nigeria as long as we'll still have lazy politicians who would not have done their homework well yet want to be voted into elective positions. That's why I respect Mimiko and Fayose, they know their onions well, galvanised and canvassed for support, had a strong fanbase at grassroot level as well as amongst the elites. If Obaseki feels he has done well to Edo people (the populace as well as his party members) he has nothing to fear, but his jumping from pillar to pole has shown he did otherwise. |
Obaseki will likely loose the primaries which himself knows hence the visit upandan from Lagos to Abuja in less than 10 hours. APC will win Edo either by crook or hook. Mark my words, na people wey get mind go vote that day. Kogi election comes to mind. PDP go go court tire. Nawah o, this Obaseki guy get liver o, arrest your party Chairman and prosecute him? Toorh, he has not traveled yet, he will still visit OBJ, IBB, Gowon to help him out. As far as APC is concerned he is a goner, I kuku trust Buhari na so him go dey him Villa dey observe. Obaseki has gone way too far. Emmaomotob:Even if you don't respect his calling, you should respect his age. Haba. If the criminal is eventually fished out what else would you say? This lockdown should have opened your eyes that there is a supreme being running the affiars of the whole world. I pray you don't die without giving your life to Jesus Christ. |
He should go back to China and continue collecting his cool cash, Rash is back I'm afraid he might find his place on the bench for long, Man U can never sign him. A plot of land for sale very close to the main road, at Falegan along Ilawe Road, Ado Ekiti, contact me for more details. |
Egungun be careful, those pushing Obaseki will leave him after he has been disgraced, the false truce that was reached some months ago was to preserve Oshiomole, which shows the President likes him (Oshiomole). It'll get messy alas, Oshiomole will have the day. Meanwhile, a plot of land for sale very close to the main road, at Falegan along Ilawe Road, Ado Ekiti, contact me for more details. |

omoiyamayor:Nassarawa Hospital is in Kano not Nassarawa State FYI. |
I don't know who is scamming who, if it is Aisha scamming Kano or his aides, the last one they distributed in Kano they packaged 2 sachets of Indomie, 2 cowbell milk I can't even remember it was so insulting, people come dey fight on top. Kai.. this elites have reduced the common man to beggars. |
maasoap:Infact naive, ignorant is an understatement. |
olaric:I saw the Governor on Politics today on channels during the week boasting of the said app, "and that their people are doing excellently well" that they don't need to shut down Kogi state because the neighbouring states have shut theirs, I was like |
Posting this as recounted by my mom. My dad wasn't scared when mom reported the broken waters. He quickly got her to the hospital around 7pm. He was allowed to stay in the Labour room and he did quite well. Trouble started when I couldn't come out via normal delivery and the doctor called my dad and told him mom would have a Caesarean. Man broke down and started crying ..long story short, CS started and man couldn't stand watching his wife shredded He left the theatre and sat outside with his best friend until it was done ![]() At about 11:23pm, a 5.1kg, white looking baby with head circumference 37cm was born that night My dad was the happiest person on earth 5.1kg? |
[quote author=DanseMacabre post=88606279]Well...the pictures can be a bit misleading if one fails to put into consideration that the before was taken just a day before the lockdown was to commence, hence the massive throng due to panic buying. Bata isn't as crowded on an average day. Which Bata is not crowded? With refuse dump sharing the road with motorists? Even in your picture the other lane was very crowded. Abeg that Bata area is the dirtiest part of Kano I know, Kofar wambai is might be crowded, but dirty? I give it to Bata. |
