Take the new one along. The 15 minutes duration is a sham at most panels. They will give about 3 to 5 minutes at rush hours. Presenting you point verbally and with precision is important.
Thanks... Will they ask for CV

What will help you more in Networking is not a Master's degree but certifications. In order of relevance in Networking;

Experience > Certification > Degrees.

I presume you're going to Germany for your masters as a way of relocating from Naija, I would advise you start your certification journey in Naija if you really want to stand a chance of getting a Network Engineering job in Europe.

You can start with CCNA. All the best.
Thank you very much , just what I have been thinkin about... I will write my CCNA exam within 6months when I arrive in Germany

Hello house, I need counsel from experience Network Engineers in Nigeria...Though I am a graduate of Elect/Elect with a cgpa of 4.06, I have zero experience in Network Engineering.....I love the field and I recently gained admission to a master's program in Communication Networks in Germany... My question is do you think I will be able to break into the Networking industry by just acquiring this degree... The school is one of the best in Germany and German universities are very big on practicals but I still need advice from the house, I graduated 5years ago but all my job experience has nothing to do with engineering... I NEED ADVICE before taking this decision

Hello house,

I graduated with a Hnd, Mechanical Engineering, and I also completed a one year top up program with the university of South Africa(Industrial/Mechanical Engineering). I did the top up, due to the Hnd/Bsc dichotomy. It has always been my aim to go for my masters in the U.S, but we all know how expensive it is to do so. I am considering the option of going for my masters in Germany, as it is quite cheap to do so. But then, I see lots of people on this thread with a Bsc degree traveling to Germany to attain yet another Bsc degree, and it makes no sense to me. Is it that the schools don't grant admissions for Msc studies?

I spent almost a million on the top up program I did, and it would make no sense traveling to Germany to attain yet another Bacclaurete. What are my chances of getting admitted for a masters with my Hnd and Btech(one year top up program)?

By the way, I would love to go for Energy Systems Engineering.
You are already qualified for a masters degree in Germany... People that go for a second Bsc have their numerous reasons...Some graduated with not too good grade while others are trying to make a career change....

Please I need useful advice on this matter. I came to Germany a year ago to start a masters program. I work alongside. But my main issue is about which possibilities and chances I have to make my fiancé get a visa to come join me here in Germany. I know about the family reunion visa, but I don’t know if it also applies to students who are working. I will appreciate useful response please.

famzynet:
I think NCLEX is for US and not for UK. If you have passed your academic IELTS and have the UK dream, then register with NMC UK online ,then book for CBT ( written in Lagos) . While preparing for CBT,you can start looking for UK hospitals or agents that would issue you COS. Passing CBT gives you higher chances of getting sponsors easily. With CBT passed and COS issued, you can apply for visa and then prepare for your OSCE in the UK while working with your sponsors.
I am really grateful for this explanation, thank you

Not to discourage you or anything, but unlike other countries , canada requires you to be within canada to complete the credential process. This means that it is virtually impossible to complete the licensure processes without being a temporary or permanent resident of canada.

This is because along the evaluation process, you would be required to take exams in canada. You might be required to do a top up program also offered only in Canada.

The easiest way to immigrate to canada is the Express entry system and being a registered nurse doesnt give you any edge over a HR person.

Refer to the sister thread below for more information on Express entry.
https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/392#86872249

My advice is to head to the uk first as it is cheaper and faster for you to start practicing.
But I want to ask, is it not possible travelling to write Nclex in the philippines and then use it for Canada? I am not clear on this, I hear people talking about going there to write nclex alot? Pls throw in any info you have on this.

8.0 is an overall good attempt but what exactly are your individual band scores.
For you to be successful against the current CRS trend for canada, your ielts should be more than or equal to 8777 in LwRS.
You should be less than 31 with 2 evaluated degrees.

To be able to help you better,
Tell me the following details:
Age
Marital status
Years of work experience
Highest educational qualification
Knowledge of french
Sibling in canada
Thanks a lot for the response

Age : 32years

Marital status: single (but will be married this year by God's grace)

Years of experience : only one year internship plus 8months previous job experience as an IVF nurse before my one year internship..

Highest degree: Bachelor of nursing science

Sibling in canada : my elder brother is already married in Canada.

Wow. You are indeed genius with 8.0. You have gotten yourself the access key to express entry but I need to know if you got experience and prove of fund and evaluation of certificates as it's second stage of Canada express entry. With all this, Canada is DIY and might take you up to 6 months or more processing time. My friend spend total 6, 3 weeks to land in Canada with family as early child educator NOC.

Why not consider going to the UK first and continue Canada process while you are working?
Thanks for the response...I just completed my internship... Are you saying UK is easier without job experience? And like how much is the prove of fund you spoke about?

Hello house. In case there is anyone here that wants to fund his/her block account in Germany, I have some monies to exchange for the Naira and I can help the person make a transfer to the German account from my own German bank account. Reasonable rate but only for serious would-be buyers.
Aboki gave me a rate of 385naira per euro yesterday... What rate are you giving?

Though am confused on the option I chose.
I chose that I need to open a blocked account with a Deutsch bank. They have only two options: certification of school documents and opening a blocked account.

I don't know if I chose rightly. Gurus please help.
What do you want to do?

For students in TH Koln. When you paid your semester fee, did the bank "sparkasse" deduct extra 20euros as charges. My friend that paid from DE said his friend had to pay extra 20euros

I want to pay from Nigeria using form A, I am thinking whether I should add that extra 20euros to the total amount.
