drnoel: Bro, your advice was terrible in some places but seem fine in other places. Maybe it is time some Nigerian Germans open a thread about life in Germany as an immigrant. This could help deflect the disparity between studentship and those already living legally in Germany Sorry to say your opinion is not constructive in any way; you just tagged his advice "terrible" while you brought nothing to the table... Take your time to go through most of his previous "lengthy" post you would see he his somebody that has a heart to give direction to others based on his experience and journey so far. I am of the opinion that you just wanted to "register" your handle here with a post and leave. I will listen to somebody like him any day. |

tobymac93: I noticed this small error on the Appointment booking page. I think their system has a little glitch, because with an error like this, the database won't record any date.
"NaN" simply means "Not a number". I think this means the dates are not being recorded in the booking system.
Any IT person here should help clear out my doubt. Thanks! When did you observe this? Is it today? |

Schrodinger1: I'm quite serious and I've been to daad.de. I've seen a handful of schools that offers MSc in Electrical (REE) Engineering but they seem to be requesting me to navigate my application through uni assist (VPD). I scanned through part 7, and didn't see any related info. Are there App waivers fee for German schools. On a serious note I tried dodging uniassist like you are doing now but it was a total waste of time, I was just deceiving myself...I know the money is not easy but It is almost impossible to dodge uniassist , and from the way you are talking, I may be right to guess you don't have ielts or toelf, so how do you intend to do it, your options will be very slim ; and remember you are competing for this admission with other international students all around the world. But check these ones M.Eng Mechotronics and Robotics ....Schmalkalden uni of applied sciences. (Winter semester) Msc CIT and Msc CMM uni bremen Msc INFOTECH.....stuttgart uni. (Winter semester) closing Jan 15th Msc Electrical Engineering ....Kempten uni They are all in daad.de, check the curriculum out there. And since we are going for the same field feel free to always quote me for any question, I will be glad to assist you. |

Schrodinger1: Hello @Justwise. You've been doing a great job!
I am quite new here, Is there a way of sending application to schools for MSc without using Uniassist? Is there a link for such schools that doesn't require it for the winter session? Thanks. Go to daad.de search for the course you want and see if they use uniassist or not.....And if you are serious about this whole thing, start reading from page 1, part 7 of this thread . What is your field? |

lexdino: And 2020/2021 winter hustle begins.
Update: For all you AD space bookers. Rumors has it that the embassy knows those people who opened a BA or got SL before booking AD.
Germany only wants the best, if you are too impatient to adhere to due process, please stay in your country Nigeria and continue contributing to its problems.
This explains why some peeps that booked date since Oct are still lamenting over AD.
Lemme cum and be going oh... Chai!!! Who stone me? Rubbish.... So you are advising people to starch about 4million naira in a foreign account when they don't have AD? |

Perrorson: Its nice to finally find a forum like this.. I'm new here
My GP 3.40 in Nigeria grading system and I will apply for any Electrical engineering related course.. Any advice on which school likely to offer me admission with my low grades and course too..
According to the site of the German consulate, the say that waiting time for students visa will take 10 to 12 months.. Now I ask, how can one sustain his admission for over 12months without being terminated..
Can one book appointment without behove getting admission.. This might help to maximised the period of the 12months of waiting Your cgpa is not low....You can into any program with it if you write a good motivate' letter and good CV. Go to daad.de you will see a lot of courses for Elect/IT. Also check page 357 of this thread you will see about 12 courses on Elect/IT posted by "glopatra" |

chitex41: Acceptance letter is not mandatory for all schools, but if you can get it, it will give your application an edge because csc is competitive.
For Notorization, the notorary stamp or seal is enough, and if you have high court stamp and layers signature on it is still ok, but the main thing is the notorary stamp.
Apart from international passport, you will need other documents like previous degree certificates[notorized copy] and transcripts[notorized copy], two recommendation letters from professors, statement of purpose, any english proficiency letter [Notorized copy], Medical physical examination form (the form is available, you take to a recognise hospital for medical assesment and they fill the form for you ), some schools might require police report, so make it available, Acceptance letter from your prospective supervisor (not compulsory for all schools), soft copies of the abstract of your publications (if you dont have publications, then dont worry).
Finally, one of the major challenges applicants faces is during posting of hard copies to the school in china, [ note: not all schools needs your hard copies], sometimes, the document is sent to the wrong school cos many schools in china have almost same name eg, zheijiang university is different from zhejiang normal university, though in same province. many schools are like that......secondly, it doesnt get to the school ontime[due to nigeria factor ]. To help you solve this, as i have identified these issues, i will help you post all your documents from china, you will only need to send soft copies, it is very fast [maximum two days your document will be sent], it will get to the right address as i know many schools....finally it will be more cheaper and convinient.
if you are interested, mail: chitex41@yahoo.com
goodluck! How do you intend to send soft copies or photo copies me MOTORIZED documents, it Will not be accepted |

Goztino: This thread is indeed very powerful. I will likely take a semester break next semester and focus on learning Deutsch to B1 level within 6 months from A1 level I am now. I need the language like crazy now. I have already seen the school and it will cost me 500 Euros. Then in addition, I will like to learn Python programming (data analysis which is needed in my field later) but I don't really know how to start since I don't have any damn programming skills apart from the C++ boring course we did in my BSc level where the lecturer was writing codes on the board That boring C++ you learnt you will appreciate it when you start learning programming online, it will help you. I will advise you to start with PYTHON.... |

holychic: Hey! I would say you should stick to python for data analysis and learn sql afterwards. I studied IT Engineering and all my course mates that choose to go that route are all gainfully employed after graduation. Python for web development in my opinion is not as widely used as python for data analysis. Thank you very much for this info |

janettee: Learn that Python well. Create a project afterwards and apply for paid internships!.
All fields in IT are lucrative in Germany. The question is do you have the skill?.
It's better to choose one field and focus solely on it!. Thanks for your response but my problem is which is better should I focus on something like python for data analytics, then add sql to it or should I focus on python for web development and maybe learn add html and css to it.....From your experience which is better and easier to break into the job market in DE? |
