I am from IKA.
My local govt is ika north-east and i am from owa-kingdom,the village of owa-ekei to be precise.

bigfrancis21: Some Ikas accept the Igbo title while some don't. The Ika acceptance is found mostly in Igbodo and Ekwuoma communities of Ika land. I could bet that Obi Nkeobikwu Osadume is one of the pro-Igbo people. Denials come mostly from Agbor and other Ika Igbo areas. An Ika member on this forum has even admitted that the Ika Igbo of these two communities are more Asaba-like(or Enuani) than Ika.
Well you are right.
Denials is more pronounced in Agbor due to the benin influence, but then many are beginning to accept their igbo-ethnicity.
It's only a matter of time.
CultureRe: Igbodo Crisis: Obi Osadume Finally Bows To Tradition • Sacks Ibo Wife by solomon111(m): 12:01am On Oct 19, 2013
For the sake of clarification;
Most ika people accept and embrace their igbo ethnity under the anioma assemblage.
Though a few communities here and there still object to being igbo due to long-term ignorance and/or the benin influence.

Mr McJay: Imagine Nigeriens and Chadians coming into Nigeria's federal capital and chasing Nigeria's President GEJ about like a thief, with him shouting 'terrorist attacks happen everywhere'.

We should expect more insults until we elect a proper leader. My President is not fit to lead cows not to talk of humans. QED.

mmark12: Whoa lots of UK haters in this forum. you can disagree with article but these hateful remarks shows that Nigerians still has a long road ahead.

Dont forget Britain does lots of trade with Nigeria to our benefits

SHELL: Largest Oil & Gas,producing the biggest crude oil, larger than NNPC -UK
Guinness Nigeria: Subsidiary of Diageo - UK
170,000 Nigerian students per yr: Destination - UK Universities
British Airways / Virgin- UK
Standard Chartered
Unilever
etc

WHY THE HATRED ? na wa oh

By the way pls stop comparing their economy with ours, theirs is way way way better than ours. U don't see their citizens struggling to immigrate to Nigeria
what is this nonsense you've written above got to do with the topic?
What benefits have those parasitic companies, given to the average Nigerian?
Who in their right minds immigrate to the UK nowadays?
Idiott.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 8:16pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: my view of the law might be biased, but nothing stops me from interpreting the law.infact every citizen should be encouraged to have a copy of the constitution and read it
you can have your own interpretation of the law,as it's your prerogative.
But don't go up in arms when your view of the law which you agree is biased and therefore invalid is disregarded.
Your interpretation of the law is irrelevant.

yeah right.
I'm sure the reason why american presidents don't call themselves C-in-C at every event is because they can't fight shitt.
Dumb,dumb,dumb.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 8:00pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: this country is governed by a constitution and the first sentence in that book is "We the people of the federal republic of nigeria...".that constitution gives me the right to question anyone no matter how highly placed.it gives me the right to interprete the laws and also gives me the right to seek further clarification from the judiciary when i desire to do so.i dont need the national assembly to interprete the law for me,the national assembly makes the law and then its my duty to interprete or seek further clarification
It's not your duty to interpret the law, sorry.
The judiciary is trained and empowered to interpret the law.
You are just a citizen whose view of the law is biased and tainted with sentiments.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 7:48pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: i am a nigerian and an interested party in whatever president jonathan does.he is elected to be commander in chief of MY country at all times.he cant choose where and when to perform his duties or be addressed by the title the constitution of MY country bestows on him.if he doesnt want it,he should resign
There are people who jobs are either to set laws or interpret them.
And the last time i checked, none of those people have held the presidence guilty for breach of constitution.
The law does not give you DELAFRUITA the right to interpret the law.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 7:44pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: you have big problems.is president jonathan the commander in chief of the armed forces or not?whether president jonathan is in his bedroom, toilet, kitchen or on the road taking a walk,he remains the commander in chief of the armed forces.it doesnt matter where he is or who he is with, his duty doesnt change.he is the CinC and dt doesnt change.selectively repudiating the title is akin to selectiely performing his duties
Gej did not stop being commander-in-chief,you morøn.
Obama is the commander in chief of the american forces even without attaching the military title at every democratic event.
That's the difference between a democratic GEJ and the military Buhari.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 7:38pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: the constitution did not indicate a place or time for the title to be used.not using the title irrespective of the occasion is a breach of the constitution.
Let the HOR and senate deal with him if they feel there is a breach of constitution.
You're a nobody.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 7:26pm On Oct 18, 2013
Delafruita: so because the retardeen wants to display false humility, our constitution which expressly proscribes the title "commander-in-chief of the armed forces" should be impugned on.are you people alright at all?
shut up,you morøn.
Jonathan did not removed that title from national nomenclature.
He only ask that you use it at the right place, which is during military engagements.
I don't see how the constitution is affected.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Doesnt Want To Be Refered To As Commander-in-chief Of The Armed Forces by solomon111(m): 7:23pm On Oct 18, 2013
Very good,mr president.
Someone needs to shed that military mentality that has bedevilled our democracy for too long and i am glad you mr president is bringing that change.
Judging by the myopic replies on this thread,it's evident that most Nigerians don't know what it means to be under a democratic dispensation.

Donmams: GEJ working for where? This steel company is 100% private owned. It is just to score cheap political points that GEJ went to commission a project he has no business with. As usual this gov't continues to lie and deceive. We will not be fooled.
shut up.
Govt has no business building and managing steel plants.
It should be left to the private sector, which is what GEJ is doing.
Btw,who do you think is responsible for the influx of private investors of these magnitude?
Buhari?
