Some may call it ass licking, but I really feel the SE needs this guy. Imagine a midfield trio of Ndidi, Aribo and See, with Iwobi moving to the left wing, Chukwueze on the right, Iheanacho supporting Osimhen in Attack.
Remove Iheanacho and bring on Sadiq later in the match to pair Osimhen because of his creativity or better still bring on Moffi to pair Osimhen when facing big for nothing african opponents
Or is Eze using Nigeria as bait to indirectly talk to Southgate to play him for England or he ports to Nigeria? Nobody know why he is saying this now but he better make up his mind now before Olise, Lookman, Ejaria and co join the SE otherwise na 2-0 for am. When we seal up our midfield, oyo for am

[b]Crystal Palace Eze Hints At Super Eagles Switch- I Have A Good Relationship With President Of Nigeria FA[b]
Owngoalnigeria

Crystal Palace midfielder Ebere Eze has refuse to rule out a switch to Nigeria in the nearest future despite initially turning down them down for England.

Eze trained with the Super Eagles in 2017 during a training camp in London but two years later when he was officially called up to the senior team he declined and instead picked England.

He was part of the English U21 team that failed to make it past the group stages at the recently concluded European Championship. He is however open to the idea of playing for Nigeria in the future.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has twice met with the dribbling ace and now Eze says his relationship with Pinnick is still intact.

“ A lot happened when I made the decision to play for England and my discussion with the president of the Nigeria FA went well. It’s something you never close the door on. I have a very good relationship with Mr Pinnick”, he said when quizzed on if he could yet switch back to Nigeria.

Like I told someone on twitter sometime ago as regards Tomori, the new rule says a player must have played in not more than 3 official games (excluding WC or Tournament finals) for a nation before he turned 21 to be considered "still eligible" for a switch.
Tomori made his England debut at age 21 yrs 10 months and 29 days. So Tomori was already 21. Although he has just one cap I think.

Also, I think he still fancies with chances with England. Afterall, he is doing it for AC milan which is a bigger club than Fulham will ever be. If Tosin at Fulham can still be harboring hopes of an England call-up then how much more Tomori who is seeing gametime at AC Milan in Serie A.

To answer your other questions on Lookman, Ejaria and Toru. Let me drop this....

These are the list of lads whose overall switch processes are still being held up for now:

- Kingsley Ehizibue (Passport issue)
- Ademola Lookman (Final FIFA Clearance + Passport)
- Nathan Tella (Passport process)
- Ovie Ejaria (Final FIFA Clearance + Passport)
- Jordan Torunarigha (Final FIFA Clearance + Passport)

And now...
- Michael Olise (passport process specifically).

So we wait on these. Hopefully Olise will be first in through the door then the others follow.
There is light at the end of the tunnel. No yawa.

Folks, it is confirmed.

Umar Sadiq will be named to the Nigeria Squad. This is coming from sources within Almeria.

Almeria will be in action during the International break so Sadiq will miss two Almeria games against Leganes and Malaga because of International duty.
d
What a season Umar Sadiq is having. I personally thought he won't be invited because perhaps Rohr will wanna wait till he makes his La Liga move but it seems Rohr will rather begin integrating the lad now than wait that long.

Congrats to SADIQ. Hardwork pays.
Moffi is also in the squad

I was also wondering why you weren't mentioning him as well. He and lookman will be our biggest steals. For me, Tosin can go as far as Torun is coming, I don't even want congested centre back options. If that news is to be trusted, then it's nice seeing lookman stick by his decision.
My eyes are on Lookman. Can't wait for him to join SE. Ovie will be good competition for Iwobi. Torun in defense will make us easily forget Tosin. My belle just dey sweet me.

Rohr Calls Up Four New Players, Three From England, One From Germany For AFCON 2022 Qualifiers
Owngoalnigeria Mar 5, 2021 8:51 AM

The list of invited players for the Super Eagles AFCON 2022 qualifiers have been submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by coach of the team Gernot Rohr.

Rohr has already decided on the players he will use to prosecute the games against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively and it will be made public next week.

Owngoalnigeria.com exclusively gathered that the list has four new players with two on standby. Three of the four players were called up from England while one plays in Germany.

We gathered the four players have agreed to switch allegiance to Nigeria and one is placed on standby owing to passport issues which might see him miss the games.

Nigeria need a point from two games to seal a spot at next year Africa Cup of Nations and Rohr is leaving nothing to chance in his quest to lead the team to the tournament in Cameroon.

TheSuperNerd:
-Chidinma Okeke still got that vision that we saw from her at the WC vs Korea where she sent a long pass into Oshoala's path who did the rest and finished brilliantly.

Today, we saw a deja vu of the connection for Oshoala's third goal of the game. Okeke picking out Oshoala with a long pass from deep in the right wing. Oshoala running on to it, controlling, driving it forward and finishing quite simply.

-On Toni Payne, she was so good. I must say it wasn't just for this game. Against Uzbekistan, I also saw her pull off some nice passes into the paths of some of other forwards but we kinda squandered them. She's quickly settling into the side and beginning to show her stuff. A real baller.

Her finishing, her vision and her ball skills are excellent additions to this already dominant Falcons side.

- Monday Gift. A baller for now and the future. Loving her touches. And it's interesting seeing her versatility too. Was upfront and missed a very good chance although she was challenged badly in the process but she took her goal really well. Fine player with both feet. It's little wonder she made Goal's NXGN list of Best top 10 young female ballers from 2020. FC Robo is giving Nigeria another one. From Oshoala to Ajibade and now to Gift.

- Mostly positives from the game and the Guineans were all over the place and being too physical at times. It's a good thing no one got serious injury coz they really fouled our girls. One of the falcons lasses dorning number 15 especially collected quite some fouls from the Guineans one of which got them sent off in the dying mins. Dem wan kill that Babe no be small. grin

- Guinea was easy opposition but Our falcons should have had more. We missed some chances especially in the second half that should be buried when up against tougher oppositions. We gotta be more ruthless. But again, I will cut them enough slack because this is their first gathering after a long while so it's expected we see some technical blemishes and flaws. This team will get better and Africa will have to do a lot more to stop the Falcons from bagging another AWCON.

Fulham Star Could Snub Super Eagles For England Like Saka, Abraham and Agbonlahor
OlamideSundayOyetunji Feb 19, 2021 2:33 PM

Fulham football club fast-rising defender Tosin Adarabioyo is reportedly reconsidering his international future as a player of dual nationalities.

The 23-year-old Manchester City product has advanced in his ambition to represent Nigeria but situation could change due to active playing status with Fulham.

According to owngoalnigeria.com, Tosin Adarabioyo is undecided about playing for either Three Lions of England and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

For the fact that he has played for England from U-16 to U-19 didn't represent them in competitive games which mean the process of switching allegiance won't be too rigorous.

"He is at the moment in a crucial state of his career where he is getting games in the English Premier League. The focus should be on helping Fulham for now". His representative told owngoalnigeria.com.

"Tosin has Nigeria at heart but it’s one thing at a time and for now it’s Fulham and that’s why he hasn’t responded to the request to switch to Nigeria yet. It’s one step at a time."

Tosin Adarabioyo is one of the most regular player for the struggling Fulham in the English Premier League with Scott Parker rating him so highly, however, he repeatedly turned down Nigeria in favour of playing for England.

Few years ago, the player who can operate as right back or centre back posted some pictures on social media to celebrate Nigeria independence anniversary but many cannot forget how the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor, Tammy Abraham of Chelsea and Bukayo Saka of Arsenal all settled for their country of birth instead of Nigeria.

Rohr to Drop Super Eagles Captain, Chukwueze and Two Others From Squad
OlamideSundayOyetunji Feb 18, 2021 4:51 PM

The Nigerian male national team will be back in serious footballing business in the coming weeks as the first FIFA international break will see professional players starring for their various countries.

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr will execute his first and second assignment when Nigeria will entertain Benin Republic and Lesotho in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

After the disappointing back to back draw with Sierra Leone in November, the Franco-German manager is expected to change the outlook of the team.

The dramatic and unexpected 4-4 draw with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City led to outcry and condemnation from all quarters and the gaffer is ready to make some changes.

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa will become the first player to be dropped from the team due to his unemployment state as Gernot Rohr was expecting him to make a move during the January transfer window.

According to the list leaked by owngoalnigeria.com, Samuel Chukwueze was also not penned by the manager due to his inactivity at club level since January courtesy of injury not forgetting Dennis Bonaventure who just completed a loan move to FC Köln from Club Brugge.

Lastly, Heartland goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has also been excluded from the team that will have Maduka Okoye, Daniel Akpeyi and the returning Francis Uzoho but another goalkeeper from the Nigeria Professional Football League will be given an opportunity.
