Family / Re: Father Of Bride Refuses To Let His Daughter Live With Her Husband by solonubinho(m): 3:34pm On Jan 22, 2021 |
BusinessCity: You are wrong Sir. There are two types of marriage recognized by law in Nigeria. a. Statutory marriage; and b. Customary marriage. What you call white wedding or church wedding is just a celebration. It is at the point of the registry that the marriage is made official. Usually after the celebration, they head to the registry. On the other hand, there is customary marriage. This is marriage according to the custom of the people as it has been done by their fathers and those before them. It is also worthy of note that marriage under customary law has nothing to do with the gods or deities of your village. It is totally incorrect to ascribe such belief to customary marriage. This would lead me to give you a brief description of custom as "the acceptable practices of a particular group of people bound together by blood or ethnicity". This means that if a large group of people bound together by blood or ethnicity decide to slap their foreheads as a means of greeting, it becomes a custom once it has been widely accepted and passed down to other generations. Also, please note that it is duplicity to have both customary and statutory or white wedding as most would call it. However, one would not blame them as it is what society has expected of them. That is not to say that each is not mutually exclusive of the other. |

Romance / Re: The Woman I Have Done Introductions For Is Driving Me Crazy by solonubinho(m): 8:38pm On Jan 20, 2021 |
You've done introduction. Baba, you better de-introduce. Before you bring her to jand and she reduces you to square 1. While taking your house in the process, leaving you homeless and penniless. Like someone earlier said, most of these girls just want to get married because that's what girls are expected to do according to society and perhaps to have some prestige amongst their peers. Many of them have no business being in anybody's house. None whatsoever. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Sorry bro. It looks like your mom is a toxic narcissist. At least God blessed your dad with good children to compensate for the misery he must have been put through all these years. I cannot advise you on this one Sir as it is way beyond my jurisdiction. But God bless your home, I pray things get better soon. Shalom. |

TV/Movies / Re: The Village Headmaster Returns After 33 Years As NTA Releases Trailer (Video) by solonubinho(m): 8:33am On Jan 13, 2021 |
Wait. So of all places to launch a comeback its NTA that they saw to use. NTA itself that can never make a comeback. They didn't see any of the Africa Magic Channels or Red TV or the rest. You see why strategy is very very important. Well, it will still die again maybe even before it starts sef. They have just wasted their time and efforts because they have refused to be strategic. |

lexy2014: The only thing worse than illiteracy is semi-literacy. We do not need to have a discussion on a topic before I point it out to your ignorant ass. Secondly, harder is the comparative of hard, with hardest as its superlative. Telling someone to hustle harder does not imply that he isnt hustling It implies that he does more than he's currently doing you understand? I wonder where people like you come from but I hope you can take one or two notes from the above and speak wisely next time. Not these unintelligible word salads you're spitting here. Phew. |
