Smakfge:
Can someone be saved without worshipping God? Who is God ? You say Jesus (pbh) is God. Why ? I swear in God Almighty's name, I will embrace Christianity if anyone or any pastor answer this 30 questions;
-------------------------------------------------------------------
(NB. FEEL FREE TO CONSULT THE HOLY GHOST BEFORE ANSWERING )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
(1) If Jesus was GOD, then why Mark 15:34 says "And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice; "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—
which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

(2) If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 8:28 Jesus said "I do nothing of myself"?
Can't GOD do anything he wills ?

(3) If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 14:28 Jesus said "My Father (GOD) is greater than I"?

(4) If Jesus was GOD, then why in Luke 23:46 Jesus said "Father
(GOD), into thy hands I commend my spirit"?
or is Jesus a Baby-God?

(5) If Jesus was GOD, then why in Mark 10:18 Jesus said “And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.”?

(6) Also in Luke 18:19 Jesus said only GOD Almighty is Good: "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—
except God alone."

(7) If Jesus was GOD, then why in John 20:17 Jesus said "Do not
hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

(coolIf Jesus was GOD, then how comes his own disciples in Matthew 16: 13-14 only knew him as one of the Prophets.

(9) If Jesus was God how comes he was seen sleeping in Matthew 8:24 yet God never sleep as reported in Psalms 121:4.

(9) If Jesus was God who forgives sins then how comes when we was wronged in Luke 23:34 he said that Father forgive them since they don't know what they are doing.

(10) If Jesus was GOD , then why in John 17:3 Jesus said that eternal life is believing in one God and believing in Jesus Christ who was sent by God.

(11) If Jesus was GOD, then why in Acts 2:22 it is stated that Jesus was a mere man from Nazareth and all miracles and wonders were made by God through him.

(12) If Jesus was GOD, how comes in Hebrew 2:9 he was just made a little lower than angels. Can God the creator of the universe be lower than his creation.

(13). If Jesus was GOD, how comes in Luke 22:43, he was strengthen by angels, Can God be strengthened by his creatures, how can God be this weak.

(14) If Jesus was GOD, then why in Luke 4:8, he said that it is written that worship and serve only God. How come he did not say that worship only me but made reference to God.

(15) If Jesus was God, how comes in Revelation 1:1 it is reported that this is the revelation of Jesus which God gave him yet he (Jesus) himself is God as you claim.

(16) If Jesus was God how comes in Luke 4:13 he was tempted by Satan yet in James 1:13 God cannot be tempted by evil.

(17) If Jesus was God, then how comes in Luke 2:21 he was circumcised . Do you really want us to believe that God was circumcised, do you believe that the man who circumcised Jesus was holding God by his penis !!!. Isn't this the greatest blasphemy.

(18) If Jesus was God then how comes in Mark 11: 13, he was very ignorant that he did not know that it was a season of figs. How can God be ignorant to this level.

(19). If Jesus was God, then how comes in Mark 11:12 he was hungry, How can God be hungry, isn't this blasphemy to God.

(20) If Jesus was God then how comes he said in Matthew 24:36 that he does not know the last day and hour. How can God be this ignorant and fail to know the last day of judgement.

(21). If Jesus is God how comes he had a tribe as stated in Revelation 5:5 that he was a Jew from the tribe of Juda. Can God have a tribe, does it make sense to you if you start treason.

(22) If Jesus was God then why did he say in Matthew 15:24 that he was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel. Can God be sent in the first place and can he be so tribal like this.

(23) If Jesus was God then how comes in Luke 11:37-38, he was seen eating food, he even forgotten to wash his hands before he ate because he was very hungry. Imagine God eating food . if Jesus a

te food, the end result is that the food had to be digested meaning that he visited the toilet, imagine God on a toilet !!! . let us start reasoning please.

(24) If Jesus was God, then how comes in John 18:22, he was slapped by one of the officers. Can God be slapped by a mere man. Jesus cannot be God.

(25) If Jesus was God, then how comes it is mentioned in Luke 2:40 that Jesus while still a child grew and filled with wisdom and the grace of God was with him. Which grace of God was with him if he was himself God.

(26) If Jesus was God, how comes that in Mark 1:35, He used to pray, which God was he praying to if he was himself God.

(27) If Jesus was God ,then why is it written in 1 Timothy 2:5 that there is one God and one mediator between God and men who is the man Jesus.
#المسيح_ليس_اله
#Jesus_is_not_a_GOD

(28). If Jesus was God, then why did Paul say in 2 Corinthians 1:1 that I Paul I am an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God.

(29). If Jesus was God, how comes in Acts 2:36, it is mentioned that GOD has made Jesus both Lord and Christ. Which God made Jesus Christ if he (Jesus) himself was God.

(30). If Jesus was God, then how comes in Hebrews 5:7, Jesus prayed while crying in strong tears so that God saves him from death and God heard his prayers by saving him from death.
The answer to your question is hinged on Holy Trinity - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All of them are one but operate distinctly. It is a mystery. Now God the Son came in the form of man. He was fully man, yet divine. So in that state, he relied solely on God the Father. In various verses of the Bible, he showed that he was God, yet performing the distinct role of Jesus Christ, God in human form.

Adam's sin

Adam's sin was not external, not what he ate, it was internal, thoughts that produced words, words that rejected the Gospel. Titus 1:2.

Remember that Moses wasn't born when Adam was existing. So he received the event by visions, because of His state he couldn't properly express what happened then he used figures of speech like trees, tree of life, to represent the Gospel of Christ and The tree is Good and evil to represent sin.

So Adam eating the tree of good and evil means adam rejected the Gospel, the tree of life which is Christ. Hence Adam's sin was UNBELIEF, Adam was separated from God, this separation is called sin.( unbelief) this sin, unbelief is also known as death.

So the mother which is sin/unbelief made man to begin to kill, steal, fornicate, commit adulterers, because in man there's no good in the man outside Christ no matter how moral he is.

So this bad actions are called deeds, acts or sins not sin but sins with an 's'

So remember that the reward Adam got when he rejected the Gospel was separation, which is sin which is death.

So it means when Jesus died he took away the reward of unbelief which is that separation, death, sin without 's'

In other words Jesus died for you sin, separation which is death to reunite us with God forever but He didn't die to make you stop lying, stealing sins with an 's' which is actions, but as you grow in the knowledge of Christ you are empowered.

So Jesus came and took away that separation by reconciling us in His death ,burial and Resurrection

But because we are still mortal in this fragile body, waiting till the full revelation of our glorious body the putting away of this mortality to wear immortality a completely perfect body where there's no sin as in actions again, there is the tendency for man to make mistakes in this mortal body.

So the man who receives Jesus's sacrifice is saved from Sin which is unbelief which is death which is separation.

But however because he is still mortal, he will do sins the sin with an 's' meaning actions, he might lie, steal, fornicate, beat someone, but as he grows spiritually he will gradually put all that away.

Whether completely or not before we remove mortality he might make mistakes but he is different from the man who is still in Sin/unbelief.

The man in unbelief/sin will still commit sins too but if he rejects Christ he will go to hell

But the man who receives Christ is saved from sin/unbelief/death but will still do sins actions but he will never go to hell.

So sins can never take a man to hell only unbelief can take a man to hell.

It is first the nature before the conduct.

Further Reading.

Matthew 5:10 Jesus asked all the people to come together near him. ‘Listen to me’, he said, ‘so that you can understand my words.

11 God will not say to a person, “I will not accept you because you ate a certain food.” It is not the food that a person eats. Food does not cause God to say, “I cannot accept you.” Instead, what comes out of his mouth is important. This can cause God to say, “I will not accept you.” ’

12 Jesus’ *disciples went near to him and they said, ‘The *Pharisees heard what you said to them. They are not happy with what you said. Do you know that?’

13 Jesus replied to his *disciples, ‘Those *Pharisees are like plants that God, my Father in *heaven, did not put in the *soil. He will pull all these plants out of the *soil.

14 Do not be *anxious about them. They cannot see, but they are telling people which way to go. A man who cannot see does not show another man like himself where to go. If he does this, then both men will fall into a deep hole in the road.’

15 Peter said to Jesus, ‘Explain to us what you just said.’

16 ‘You still cannot understand what I am saying. You are like the *Pharisees and the teachers of the *Law’, replied Jesus.

17 ‘The food that a person eats first goes into his mouth. Then it goes into his stomach, and then it goes out of his body.

18 The words that a person speaks come from their thoughts. So what a person says can cause God to say to him, “I will not accept you.”

19 A person can think bad thoughts. These thoughts may cause him to kill somebody. Or they may cause him to have sex with another man’s wife. He might rob somebody. He might say things that are not true about someone. Or he might say bad things about somebody.’ note

20 ‘All these bad things cause God to say to a person, “I cannot accept you.” But perhaps a man does not wash his hands before he eats. This does not cause God to say, “I will not accept you.” ’

Titus 1
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; note

3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
I like your write-up but I want to challenge this aspect in bold."But the man who receives Christ is saved from sin/unbelief/death but will still do sins actions but he will never go to hell"

Where will the man who has received Christ but commit sins go to?.

Note what the bible says about those so called believers (who received Christ) who commit sin with an "s" and the unbeliever in Revelation 21:6-8 “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
NKJV

God does not tolerate sin in any form whether it is through "unbelief" and by believer who commits sins as you put. All of them will have their parts in lake of fire.

So it is wrong to mislead people with the doctrine of "once saved, forever saved" Jesus used the word he who overcomes because he knows you must overcome the temptation to commit sins on a daily basis. It is the fight any believer must fight and overcome. It is those believers that will inherit God's kingdom not those that accept Christ but goes back committing sins.

This my generation is funny.
If you want to preach please go ahead, pointing fingers in whatever direction is not healthy because in all fairness everyone had their race and judgement to receive differently. Remember judgement will be as each person's work is.

Also I need to add that all the good works you mentioned above are good provided the reason behind them is a good one. You cannot be saved by not loving the things of God. You can't love anything by not visiting or giving.

We focus so much on the few fakes that the bible already said will come instead of trying to wrk harder so the world will see our good works. Remember anything fake destroys the credibility of the original.

Happy Sunday
I agree with you. It is wrong for the OP to condemn good works and attending churches. Jesus summarized the whole commandments. Love God whole-heartedly and love your neighbour as yourselves. In loving God you must obey his commandments on giving and tithing and doing good works so that the world will notice those and give glory to God. Definitely the bible is clear about how one can gain salvation so I don't think so issues should not arise about that. Now a new believer will need the church to strengthen his faith. So he needs to attend church service, learn from others, and challenge himself in certain areas as he grows his new found faith. Doing all those things in Paragraph 2: doing good, going to church regularly, paying tithe, helping people etc are signs of being born again (The bible charged us to them). Those things in themselves will not make you to be born again (you earn salvation by grace through faith in Jesus).

Hi everyone, hope y'all safe. I am going to hit the road straight up.

My wife's sister, 24, visited us two days before the lockdown in Lagos and was hoping to travel in the next three days. Unfortunately for her, the lock down thwarted her plan.

Now, my wife, together with our 3 year old boy, always leaves the house during the day to go gossip with her friends, living only her sister and me at home.

The problem is, my wife's sister has been looking at me somehow, like she wants me to have sex with her. The other day she saw me and was smiling like I gifted her some money, like a fish. Yesterday, she wore a blouse that left her n.pples dangling back and forth as she walked around the house.

Guys please, I am in a dilemma. And, good god, the girl is finer and hotter than her sister, the gossip.

What do you want me to do?

No insult please.
It is your house and your call. At first don't involve her sister. Tell her to start dressing properly and tell her that you will not allow undue exposure of her body.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 (Emphasis mine)

The reason he was this sure that not even things present and that which is to come (sins) would be able to separate the believer from the love of God is simply because God is not counting the sins of the believer against him. Salvation took care of that.

I AM PARTICULARLY FRIGHTENED BY THE INTERPRETATION (IN RED) THE OP AVE TO THE ROM 8:38-39. IT IS SAYING THAT A BELIEVER SHOULD CONTINUE TO SIN BECAUSE HE HAS GAINED SALVATION (BY ACCEPTING CHRIST) AND GOD IS NOT COUNTING THEIR SINS AGAINST THEM. SO IF ARE A FORNICATOR. JUST GO AND ACCEPT CHRIST (GAIN SALVATION) AND ERANED THE TAG "BELIEVER" THEN GO BACK TO YOUR FORNICATION. GOD WILL ONLY SMILE AT YOU REMBERING THAT YOU HAVE EARNED SALVATION. WHAT A WAY TO LEAD EOPLE TO HELL.

Part one (1).

No, you don't understand what Origien was protesting about. Origien was not talking about ''different words used in different places''. Origien was speaking about whole Jewish concepts being bastardized to suit the bible writers.

Example; the concept of salvation.

According to Jewish question and answer site www.jewfaq.org, is states ''The concept of salvation from sin as it is understood in Christianity has no equivalent in Judaism.

Salvation from sin is unnecessary in Judaism, because Judaism does not believe that mankind is inherently evil or sinful or in need of Divine Intervention in order to escape eternal damnation. In fact, Judaism does not even believe in eternal damnation.

Judaism recognizes that people have sinful impulses, but Judaism also recognizes that people have an inclination to do good and to be good, and that people are able to choose whether to follow the evil inclination or the good inclination.

When the Torah speaks of G-d as our Salvation or our Redeemer, it is not speaking of salvation or redemption from sin; rather, it speaks of salvation from the very concrete, day-to-day problems that we face, such as redemption from slavery in Egypt, or salvation from our enemies in war. ''

A Jewish wikipedia source also state ''In contemporary Judaism, redemption (Hebrew ge'ulah), refers to God redeeming the people of Israel from their various exiles. This includes the final redemption from the present exile.

Judaism holds that adherents do not need personal salvation as Christians believe. Jews do not subscribe to the doctrine of original sin. Instead, they place a high value on individual morality as defined in the law of God — embodied in what Jews know as the Torah or The Law, given to Moses by God on biblical Mount Sinai.

In Judaism, salvation is closely related to the idea of redemption, a saving from the states or circumstances that destroy the value of human existence. God, as the universal spirit and Creator of the World, is the source of all salvation for humanity, provided an individual honours God by observing his precepts. So redemption or salvation depends on the individual. Judaism stresses that salvation cannot be obtained through anyone else or by just invoking a deity or believing in any outside power (Jesus) or influence''.....

So, you see that your bibles concept of salvation is a bastardized version of the original Jewish concept in the Jewish old testament.

Your bible's concept of salvation was invented by the Roman catholic church and it is a fraud!. According to the original Jewish source, the savior is simply coming to give salvation the Jews by making peace in their land. It was never a global savior!.

Your bible is a fraud according to the original Jewish concept of salvation. Do you want to know the history of your bible? The man below was a former overzealous Jehovah's Witnesses, but he was lucky as he realized the falsehood of Christianity. He is now helping others understand the historicity of Christianity. In the video below, he spent 6 hours explaining the history of your bible and the fraud that has accompanied Christianity over the centuries.

The real history of the bible.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox2I4Wh3VRU

You're being very mischievous saying the catholic church is not the foundation of Christianity!.

The first time a church ever split from the catholic church was in 1054 AD in what they call the great schism, that was when the catholic church got split into two. That event was later to lead to further splits over the centuries. If you trace the origin of your church, your final landing church will be the catholic church.

Whether you're Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Methodist, Presbyterian, or whatever denomination, it all came as a result of further split of splits and more splits from the catholic church over the centuries. No matter what denomination you're, as long as you go to church, you're still a catholic. In fact, if you're not a catholic, you're not a christian!.

Please I never asked for biblical references for proof of Jesus as that would be a stupid thing to do. I asked for artifacts showing your Jesus was a real living person.

Your whole believe in Jesus is predicated on the promise your God made to the Jews. So, if you don't believe your Jesus was an illegitimate child as believed by the Jews, then you have no right to believe Jesus was promised to the Jews..... let alone being your savior. The Jews know their religion and has practiced it for thousands of years before Christianity, so it is arrogant of you to tell the Jews who the messiah should be. Be respectful and allow them tell you who's the messiah since it was promised to them, not you.

And no, the Jews never condemned your Jesus to death. Rome was the one killing ''messiahs'' who challenged their occupation of Judea and environs. Jews never killed their supporters. It is the doctored history served you by Christianity that would have you believe that the Jews killed your Jesus. Jews were being colonized at that time and were not in charge of administering justice. When Nigeria was British colony, Britain administered justice not Nigerians. So did all colonial powers everywhere.

The Jesus the Jews know and talked about in the Talmud was not born by a virgin, he did not walk on water, he did not feed 5,000 people with two loaves of bread, he did not resurrect from the dead.

Your Jesus is different from the Jewish Jesus. Your Jesus is a creation of the Roman catholic church.

What I will do here is show you Jewish thoughts about their Jesus Vs your Jesus.

In the book; the greatest deception ever sold; written by Edward L. Nydle & Levi bar Ido. They state as follows:-

''There is a great deception that has permeated the whole world by the man-made world religion called “Christianity”. This deception claims to be based upon history, Scripture, and the recorded teachings of our Master Yahshua, His disciples, and Rav Shaul. It is the myth of the anti-Torah and anti-Jewish life and teachings of a “Christ” whom they call by a Greek/Latin name- “Jesus”. They believe His purported contention with the Jewish people became a divine judgment upon a “faithless people” that rejected Him and His teachings and killed him because of his religion and opposition to the Torah of Moshe. The believing Christian is convinced that the Jewish Yahshua of history and the “Christ” of the church are one and the same. They could not be more deceived.''

''Between the time that Yahshua walked the earth and the time his teachings were written down (around the end of the first century C.E) and the third century Yahshua was made into the image of a “Christian”. This meant they molded him into an anti-Torah teacher who was far removed from the teachings of Judaism. He no longer was the Torah observant Jewish rabbi who lived and died as a Jew but a combination of all the pagan mystery religious figures combined into one god-man. The new “church” of Constantine created a false “Christ” called “Jesus” who came to do away with the Law of Moshe and replace the people of Yisrael with a new and better religion that offered salvation to anyone who would only believe in the person called “Jesus”. The audience for the message had changed: it was no longer intended for the Jews but focused upon the pagans- believers on the gods and goddesses like Mithras, Dionysius, Isis, and Demeter- and thus needed a new package flavored with anti-Jewish statements and replacement theology. The Torah of Moshe had been left behind along with the true history of the Jewish Messiah, Yahshua. The distance between reality and fiction created a gap that was now forever unbridgeable. The church has effectively buried the Yahshua of history and substituted their theological myths of the “Christ”, a fictional figure with a streak of anti-Semitism, wholly incompatible with the Messiah of the Jewish apostolic tradition. There would be no compromise between fact and fiction in what would become “Christian Orthodoxy”. This required a reinterpretation of historical facts and a triumphant victory of the artificial “Jesus” of the Roman church over the true Yahshua of history.''

'' The Christian historians and theologians have robbed Yahshua from Nazareth of his Jewishness and made him into a Christian after their own image. Not only Yahshua, but his family and disciples have been treated as Christians rather than Jews. There is not one verse in the Brit Chadasha that even hints that they were anything other than Orthodox, observant Jews in the most traditional sense of the word. They never called themselves Christians, nor were they ever called Christians. It was the Roman church that invented this deception and is truly the mother of all those who adhere to it. In order that their Replacement theology could be put into place and written into their commentaries, the Jewishness of Yahshua and the disciples had to be stripped from them. Every effort has been made to deny the Jewishness of the Brit Chadasha and its authors. It is very difficult for the average reader of the Brit Chadasha to separate the gold from the dross in the Gospels and the letters of Shaul.''

''Constantine's intention at Nicaea was to create an entirely new god for his empire who would unite all religious factions under one deity. Presbyters were asked to debate and decide who their new god would be. Delegates argued among themselves, expressing personal motives for inclusion of particular writings that promoted the finer traits of their own special deity. Throughout the meeting, howling factions were immersed in heated debates, and the names of 53 gods were tabled for discussion. Constantine was the ruling spirit at Nicaea and he ultimately decided upon a new god for them. To involve British factions, he ruled that the name of the great Druid god, Hesus, be joined with the Eastern Savior-god, Krishna (Krishna is Sanskrit for Christ), and thus Hesus Krishna would be the official name of the new Roman god. A vote was taken and it was with a majority show of hands (161 votes to 157) that both divinities became one God. Following longstanding heathen custom, Constantine used the official gathering and the Roman apotheosis decree to legally deify two deities as one, and did so by democratic consent. A new god was proclaimed and "officially" ratified by Constantine (Acta Concilii Nicaeni, 1618). That purely political act of deification effectively and legally placed Hesus and Krishna among the Roman gods as one individual composite. That abstraction lent Earthly existence to amalgamated doctrines for the Empire's new religion; and because there was no letter "J" in alphabets until around the ninth century, the name subsequently evolved into "Jesus Christ.''

As you can see, your Jesus is different from the Jewish Jesus. Again, your Jesus is a creation of the Roman catholic church.
Well done. The authors would have made their money from you and others that don't want to know the truth. May God have mercy on you so that you get converted knowing Jesus before you die

The new testament is not a witness to anything!. There're no original copies to support that it wasn't manufactured in Rome. In fact, a Greeco-Roman named Origien, who was one of the first scholar who could read both Hebrew and Greek, said the Greek Septuagint bible was telling a different story from the Jewish scripts at that time. Origien was ostracized by the church after telling them the truth.

The problem you people have is using emotion to answer questions of logic. I understand how your brain rationalize things at this time and it must be very difficult for you.

Otherwise, you'll have understood how contradictory the statement ''The alleged similarities you'll find is in Catholicism which is a mash up of Christ and paganism, not original New Testament Christianity.'' You think your Christianity fell from the sky?

The Catholic church wrote your bible!. They created Jesus! The Catholic church laid the foundation for your Christianity!.

All the supposed sources were mocking Christians for being dumb or were forgery!.

I have checked the history books, and everything you believed in Jesus is based on the below passing quotes made by ''Roman authors'' or someone who just made a passing comment. Here is the bad news. The below quotes are either a forgery, a joke, or just a passing comment that could have been referring to any other messiah out of hundreds of supposed messiahs at that time.

1). An author named Origen (184 AD- 253 AD), an accomplished writer, in one of his writings, quoted another Greeco-Roman author named Celsus, who said that Mary was "convicted of adultery and had a child by a certain soldier named Pantera".

Tiberius Pantera may have been serving as a Roman soldier in the region of Palestine at the time of Jesus's supposed conception. Both the ancient Talmud and medieval Jewish writings and sayings reinforced this notion, referring to Jesus as "Yeshu ben Pantera" (Jesus son of Pantera).

In the quote, you can see clearly that people knew that Mary got pregnant by sleeping with a Roman soldier. The same way Nigerian soldiers posted in Liberia and all the other conflict zones in the past, got people pregnant over there. The early people living in Palestine knew how Mary got pregnant by infidelity. There was no virgin birth according to your own source!.

2). Roman historian, Cornelius Tacitus (117 AD), mentioned ''Christus'' in one of his writings when he said ''consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.''

The Greek word ''Christus'' was the label for anybody who came forward as leader of the Jewish/Israeli movement against Rome. There were hundreds of ''ChristusES'' emerging from time to time as leader of the people against Rome. All the people who came forward to free their people were called ''christus'', ''messiah'', ''savior'', ''redeemer''. Hundreds of such ''ChristusES'' were killed by Rome. He could have been talking about any of them.

3). Another person, Lucian of Samasota (120 AD- 192 AD), who was a Greek comedian, and while satirizing the situation at that time, wrote, ''he was second only to that one whom they still worship today, the man in Palestine whom they crucified because he brought this new form of initiation into the world. Having convinced themselves that they are immortal and will live forever, the poor wretches despite death and most willingly give themselves to it. Moreover, that first lawgiver of theirs persuaded them that they are all brothers the moment they transgress and deny the Greek Gods and begin worshiping that crucified sophist and living by his laws.''

The above quote is indeed a mockery showing that Christianity was already known to be such a dumb religion from the beginning.

4). A Roman historian, Suetonius (70 AD- 126 AD), wrote ''as the Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus, he expelled them from Rome.’’

Like the previous ''Christus'', it wasn't a name of any person but a label to a leader of battle against Rome, just like Muslims today still say ''Mujahideen''. Today in Nigeria, Asari Dokubo goes by the name Mujahideen' Asari Dokubo, of course, in his battle against the Nigerian system.

5). A Jewish playwright, Flavius Josephus (37 AD-100 AD), wrote ''Now, there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works- a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews, and many of the gentiles. He was Christ and when Pilate at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him, for he appeared to them alive again the third day, as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him; and the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.''

Another quote credited to Flavius Josephus, reads ''Festius was now dead, and Albinus was but upon the road; so he assembled the sanhedrin of judges, and brought before them the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James, and some others.''

Again, at that time, the word ''Christ'' was not a name of a particular person but a generic name for the leader of any gang of trouble makers that emerged against Roman occupation of Judea and environs at that time.

Moreover, historians have long discredited Josephus's quote as a forgery for hundreds of years. Its a pity you people keep pushing it around. With common sense, you can see clearly his quote is an over ambitious quote to make a point about Jesus being God. It might also interest you to note that Josephus was a Jew and a sell-out to Rome, who joined foreigners to enslave his people. His name was formerly simply Josephus but the ruling Roman FLAVIAN dynasty at that time adopted him into the Roman elite and added ''Flavius'' to his name. Flavius is a name of a Roman dynasty. Historians have long discredited him as a forgery and he is suspected to be the writer of the new testament part of the bible.

Your whole faith in Jesus as the savior is based on the above quotes. That's all there is outside of the bible, and all men stated above began writing many years after the Jesus myth as the savior of the world has been established by the Roman Catholic church.

Free yourself brother!.
God had mercy on Apostle Paul and he got converted. May God have mercy on you so that you would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ the Saviour and the Light of the world

How is Isis a virgin when she only got pregnant after sleeping with the dead, dismembered body of osirus which had a missing penis which was then replaced by a golden object? Is this your definition of virgin birth? The symbol of a bird(Isis) on the golden artificial penis of Osiris clearly showed there was no virgin birth for Horus.

Osiris was not resurrected from the dead in the real sense of resurrection. He was sort of in between death and life state when Isis mounted him, and died fully afterwards, is that your resurrection?

Mithras wasn't born, he emerged as a fully grown man from a rock, is that your virgin birth? Mithras also never died.

Even if the ankh meant life to Egyptians, it doesn't affect the historical fact that Roman crucified Christ on a cross. There's no plagiarism.

The alleged similarities you'll find is in Catholicism which is a mash up of Christ and paganism, not original New Testament Christianity

Artifacts of Christ? He wasn't an earthly king, so he doesn't have statues. And unlike paganism we do not use objects to worship, so you won't find idols

Jesus is not mentioned by anybody in the first century. It's astonishing that you could say that, here:

Lucius of Samosata

Tacitus, a Roman historian

Pliny the younger
Josephus
Mara Bar-Serapion

The new testament itself is a witness over 24k manuscripts about Christ

Also Bart Ehrman is a showbiz scholar. If you want to get fame just start saying things against the gospel, that's why he's so popular. And to say that reply was a snap comment is funny, the guy said no discrepancy affects doctrine, period!

I can't say this enough. Get peer-reviewed materials, that stand up to academic scrutiny.

This post is false and only propagated by those who want to keep enjoying the pleasures of sin while "maintaining" salvation. Yes, the gift of salvation is eternal for as many that receive and abide. Jesus exhorts His disciples, “Abide in Me, and I in you.” And further in John 15:6 He says, “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
There are several other scriptures that point to the need of "standing in the faith". Now am I claiming to be a sinless Christian, absolutely not. But I recognise my sin and run back to my saviour's arms, because I know if I dont, my heart stands to harden and I get comfortable in my sin and gradually drift away.
God bless!
Excellent response. A believer must remain in good standing to protect his salvation. A true will have the holy spirit in him who will quickly convict him of his sin and the believer will never be comfortable until he asks for forgiveness and repents. That is the believer at sanctification stage. David in ps 119 (your words I hide in me that I may not seen). Ps 51 (create in me a new heart.... cast me not away …. restore unto me the joy of my salvation"

Any opportunity I have to counter this kind of post, I find time to do it so that people will not be led astray. This is the kind of post the OP "unstoppable51" is noted for. I have countered him recently on another topic - Judgement Day" where he again opined that God would treat a sinful believer different than unbeliever (i.e the sinful will enter kingdom of God but would lose rewards)

Christianity EtcRe: Answered: Can A Christian Lose His Salvation? by solreb: 1:27am On Apr 28, 2020
This is a doctrine of "once saved, you are forever saved" And this is a fallacy that will lead many to hell. Yes, we gain salvation by faith through believing in Christ. This implies that we have been justified righteous irrespective of our previous sin. If we die immediately after accepting Christ and commits no sin we will make heaven and not perish. However, a believer that has just been saved still lives in the world and all previous sinful habits will not just disappear. Hence you need to avoid exposure to those things that will cause you to since plus meditate on the word of God (which according to John 17:17 will sanctify you. Next stage after salvation is sanctification where the word of God through the Holy Spirit will help you to start getting rid of all the buts in your life.

If you cannot lose salvation, Paul will not warn in Phil 2:12 "work out your salvation with fear and trembling". He will also not warn in Rom 6:1 that shall we continue in sin so that grace will continue? Jesus stated it clearly in Matt 7:21-23. Only those who do the will of the Father will enter kingdom of heaven. It is not those that got the tag "believer" and have earned salvation but the fruits of the Spirit are not evident in them.

We all know the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Act 5. They were believers. They lied and died prematurely. Where will they end. HEAVEN or HELL? 2 Pet 2:18-21 warmed about Deceptions of False Teachers like in this case, In fact Peter warned in verse 20 that their end will be worse off since they had knowledge of the LORD and Saviour Christ Christ (i.e having gained salvation) but now backslide, their end will be worse than their beginning.

SO, NO ONE SHOULD DECEIVE YOU THAT IT IS ELDORADO ONCE YOU HAVE GAINED SALVATION. YOU CAN LOSE IT. if you leave carelessly and ignore the nudging of the Holy Spirit. So, be warned

A believer cannot chose not to repent neither can he die in sin.
No 1 John 1vv9 didnt say a repentant believer rather a man who is born of God.

@bolded that is not what I meant.

A believer might suffer grievously for his sin or lose his reward in eternity but it does not translate to losing his salvation.
THOUGH YOU DID NOT RESPOND EXPRESSLY WHERE A BELIEVER THAT DIED IN SIN WILL END. HEAVEN OR HELL. I have asked this direct question twice but you chose to party it rach time.
But your answer suggests that your sinful believer will make heaven but only lose his rewards. Typically you are saying a SINNER will go to heaven. I can only say God help you and those that hold this kind of belief.

can you be saved without regeneration? Every believer has already being regenerated that is why they would not continue in sin.
Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

1 John 3:6
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

That is the expected end for a believer (to he full of the holy spirit and His word so that he will not sin) but it does not happen overnight. That's illustrated the stages. But if you hold the view that once you have become a believer (accepting Christ) you are able to exercise the grace not to commit sin immediately and consistently is not TRUE. We need to let people face reality unless we hold the view that one can continue to live the old sinful life because he cannot lose his salvation (see Ps 51:10)

Read these two verses carefully, anyone who continue to sin has never knew God at any point.
Meaning the man that is born of God is the man that abided in Christ and the man that does not continue in sin.

So what do you call such people? Are they believers (they have declared for Jesus) or unbelievers. Remember where we started from is differentiating BELIEVER AND UNBELIEVER

the bible does not state confessing of sins as part of justification. Infact confession of sins is important in a believer's life to restore broken relationship.

The condition for Justification is, faith in Jesus and his finished work of Christ on the cross not confessing of sins.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Confessing here is acknowledgement that one is a SINNER. We have the moralist who believes that they have not committed any sin so why will they need a saviour not realising that ALL men have sinned Rom 3:23

There is gross misinformation in what you wrote there.
First of all, salvation is not about trying to make heaven. It is God saving a man from his sin condition.

We are trying to get academic here. We all know the ultimate reason for salvation. First for man to be restored spiritually here on earth and have relationship with God which continues in eternity.

Salvation includes
Justification/forgiveness
Regeneration ( being reborn spiritually)
Sanctification( growing into the image of Christ)
Preservation( God keeping the believer)
Glorification.

Sanctification is not a battle to make heaven rather a growth towards Christ's image, this growth might have a different rate in every believer, some might be fast some might be slow but it continues until they see Jesus.

I don't know where you saw making heaven in my write up as reason for sanctification. You simply rewrote what I explained as sanctification

When a beleiver is born again he is dead to sin.
This is not automatic. Yes the believer has that grace but must exercise it otherwise he will fall into sin. So he must strive to study the word and live holy. That's what Paul is illustrating in Rom 7, advising to crucify ghecfkesh daily

Romans 6:2
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

*Notice that paul said we are already dead to sin.*
And lastly No Christian can ever perish.

John 10:28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

I repeat no one that Christ has saved will ever get lost, saying otherwise is saying Christ is incompetent and lying.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THAT. THE PERSON THAT CHRIST SAVED MAY DECIDE TO UNFOLLOW CHRIST. Judas Iscariot lost his place. Demas left Paul and Ministry because he loved the world 2 Tim 4:10. Why do you think Paul warned "he that thinks he stands let him not fall (1 Cor 10:12)

How can you be cherrypicking what is sin?
If you sin wilfully means if you commit any sin willfully. That statement didn't have any limit to what sin.

1 John 3:8 says "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."
"In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
I agree with you. I have left him with his twisted understanding of the scripture. The simple fact is a believer is faced with temptation to sin and can fall. And if he does not repent, no matter the level of sin, he cannot make heaven.

what do you mean by a sinful believer? John already said that no one born of God continue to live in sin.
A believer in Jesus cannot end up in hell because he already has eternal life.
A believer who sins would get punished for his sin on earth but his Spirit would be saved.
So your conclusion is that a believer who sinned, chose not to repent and died in sin will go to heaven? The 1 John 1:9 you referred to talked about a repentant believer.

Let the believer continue to sin and die in his sin, and expects that grace will cover him. He is deceiving himself just like Paul warned in Rom 6:1. I think you belong to the school of thought that preaches "once saved you are forever saved"

When someone dies it is not the spirit that is saved as you wrote above. It is the soul.

Now let me talk about what you alluded about John says no one born of God will continue to live in sin. YES. That's for a believer whose heart has regenerated and who allows the Spirit of God to work in him.

Now this is the scenario in real life for you and benefits of others.

1st stage is Justification: You accept Christ by faith, confess your sin. His blood wipes out all your sin and you are declared righteous. Now you a believer. This is termed instant salvation. If you die at that instant, you will make heaven. This is what happened to the thief o the cross.

2nd stage is Sanctification. The fact that you have become a believer does not mean that all your old sinful habits have disappeared. That is why a new convert is nurtured with the word of God (which sanctifies the believer with time) Ps 119:11, John 17:17. As you allow the word to take root in you, the Holy Spirit helps you to start dropping those sinful habits (lying, fornication, fraud, etc) Gal 5:19. You start dying to flesh. The flesh needs to be crucified(Gal 5:24, Rom 8:13-14) This is the sanctification process which will continues through lifetime. Before you even commit sin the Holy Spirit will check you but since you are still in flesh you may still fall in sin. That is why Paul wrote that there is always a contention between the flesh and the Spirit (Gal 5:17). If the flesh win you may end up sinning but a regenerated believer would not be peaceful in his Spirit. He will then confess, repent and he will be forgiven. Of course it is expected that he will not go back sinning. Per adventure he goes back and dies in his sin. HE HAS LOST THE BATTLE. HE WILL NOT MAKE HEAVEN. Rom 6:23. Eze 18:20. The wages of sin is death. The soul that sins shall die.

3rd stage Glorification. That is when we are transformed and put on immortality. That is the ultimate destination for a righteous believer.

Did you just say in your first paragraph that 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 is addressed to believers who are living uprightly and not those who sin?

So the Bible is saying in those verses that the Believer who lived uprightly shall suffer a loss of reward, according to you?

Was that a typographical error bro?

If you cannot even be as honest as saying exactly what the scriptures say, but keep insisting on your own, how do we reason the scriptures together then. Seeing that you do not even believe it.

And you calling a sinning believer a SINNER is a clear proof you have not even studied clearly who a believer is and who a sinner is. You still mix the two based on their actions.

Before I end this convo, let me give you a little tip. The Corinthian Christians were doing all sorts of abominable things after they were born again. I mean things that Christians should never do. And Paul had to write 1 and 2 Corinthians to correct them.

But do you know the shocking thing? While addressing these sinning believers who had just done all sorts of abominable things, Paul began by calling them "them that are Sanctified in Christ Jesus" and "Saints" (1 Corinthians 1:2).

Ordinarily, one would expect the apostle Paul to start addressing these Christians as "sinners" because they had fallen into sin. But instead, he still addressed them by their eternal righteous nature and terms in Christ. Do you know why?

Because there is a CLEAR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BELIEVER and the unbeliever who sins. They have never been the same in the scriptures. They are not today and will never be tomorrow.

You can decide to stick to what you believe as against the scriptures and even call yourself a man of integrity. But believe me brother, true Biblical integrity is actually melleability in God's hand. Allowing God's Word to confront your religious beliefs and dogmas, straighten and sharpen the ones that badly needs it.

God bless and keep you, and cause the Light of His Word to shine brightly on your paths. I'll stop here for now. The intent of the post was never to start arguments. It was rather to bless lives. And I seriously hope it has achieved that purpose.

Thank you!
Of course, anyone that has not died (unbeliever or sinful believer) has the opportunity to repent and make his way right before God. So Paul did the right thing by talking to the Corinthians just like we are urged to admonish in love a sinful believer in our church today.

The key BONE OF CONTENTION which you tend not to grasp and address is: WHERE WILL A SINFUL BELIEVER END. HEAVEN OR HELL. I asked that question in my conclusion but you didn't answer it?

Recall you have claimed God will give the sinful believer a different judgement. That is what I need an answer to, please.

But buyers are saying they are not interested in buying any crude oil in May. So price is $0 for the first time in USA history. This is due to COVID-19. Global economies are affected by this COVID-19.

NNPC has asked multinational oil companies to demand 405 discount from contractors working for them. Normally the contractors will refuse because when oil prices go up, the oil companies don't increase contract prices. What happens in that regard is that the oil companies will terminate the contracts and pay termination fees if part of the contracts. ExxonMobill has released 4 of the rigs working for them. The drilling contractors will have to lay-off their workers. Directly over 400 employees will be affected.
