Christianity Etc › Re: Can God Blame Me For Not Telling A Church Member What God Told Me As A Pastor? by solreb: 10:58am On Aug 16, 2020 |
Beosten: Let me start from here: I have what it takes to be a pastor and I had numerous visions that confirmed my calling. But I have a disability, and I refused to go into pastoral ministry since 2005. I came into the full-time ministry a few months ago. I came into the ministry because it seemed God was the one punishing me for refusing to do the needful.
Then a church member came to me for blessing saying that her child already procured visa to travel out. That was before covid19 break. I prayed for the child. But God revealed to me in a vision at night that the child should not leave Nigeria, and that it will end in tears. I didn't tell them anything about the vision and the child left Nigeria.
The child has just been deported and a lot of money down the drain.
How should a pastor handle this kind of thing without offending those looking for counseling? I will pray for forgiveness, but can God hold me accountable for this error? If you're truly called you will obey fully the instructions from God irrespective of how the audience will feel. If you have searched the scripture carefully you will see instances of prophets including Elijah delivering unpalatable messages to kings risking their lives |

Christianity Etc › Re: I Have Made Up My Mind To Leave Religion, It's Not Worth It. by solreb: 1:52pm On Jun 19, 2020 |
Kenplay: With my personal Experience, Observation and inner conviction, I think I dont want to be part of any religion again. This thing is truely an opium of illusion meant for people who cant take their destiny in their hands and for a sheeple masses.
Despite withdrawing from religion I found myself even having a better moral compass which I cant explain. We are throwing away common sense, hardwork and universal principles to leave in illusion. At the end of my observation I have come to the conclusion that its what you do for yourself that counts more.
When I see poor people dying of hungry in a country which have the capacity to be the global industrial hub I know we have throw away common sense, Nigeria biggest investment to South Africa is Religious buildings (Church) while here in Nigeria the South Africans brought us MTN, DSTV, SHOP RITE e.t.c which employs thousands of people and gives profit to our Investors inventing in the stocks and shares of those companies I realise religion is lack of common sense.
No amount of religion can make you succesful without application of common sense. No amount of religion can make your marriage succesful without application of common sense and consideration for your partner. No amount of religion can a nation grow and prosper without application of common sense, productivity and good policies.
At the end of it I think am leaving religion, its not worth it. Even uprightness and moral comes from a person inner conviction and not because of religion. I think you are missing the point. I know Christianity teaches all the sound principles upon which any nation or someone will thrive and be successful in all its ramifications. Anyone that practices Christianity the way the Bible teaches will achieve all that you outline above. It is the manipulation by people practicing it that is evident. For example, the Bible says Righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a reproach to any nation. The countries that thrive today upholds a semblance of "righteousness" in that there is a system in place to checkmate indiscipline, corruption, etc. In the light of this, I am of the view that if you are well grounded as a Christian then abandoning it is a loss to you. I can only pray that you see the light. |

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. If you Miss Heaven, who will you Blame?
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. If you Miss Heaven, who will you Blame?
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. If you Miss Heaven, who will you Blame?
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. If you Miss Heaven, who will you Blame?

Zephaniah 1:14-18 14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. 17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. If you Miss Heaven, Who will you Blame?
Luke 16:29-31 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
