The gospel stories comes from ancient tales about Marduk, Marduk was the son of Enki. According to the Enuma Elish, he was the creator of the universe. At Nicea they gathered to find out the relationship ship between him and his father Enki. Some said he was God and some said he was man, after the argument dragged on for almost two years,Athanasius ended it by saying he was both God and man..to satisfy both parties. Eusebius was tasked with forging a human history for him. "Make it to astonish "...was emperor Constantine order to Eusebius..and they were written accordingly. Marduk is the lord of the old testament...and the God of the Jews. |

The book of Job was written to teach a spiritual point it is the only book that the word Satan was used in the entire old testament..two facts emerged from the book and that is 1. Satan is a son of God. And 2. He only does what God tells him to do, meaning he is under the control of God. There is no where this relationship changed till you get to the new testament and here we see a Satan that is a God on its own outside the power and control of God. Satan is very much part of God and a member of the Elohim. He is not evil neither is he a dual opposite of God as you would later find in the new testament. He was created to fulfill certain roles as will be delegated by God..
Satan can not do anything with out an expressed permission from God...anybody who has a contrary opinion is making mockery of God..I don't believe there is anything God created that he can't control..
FYI it is about our higher and lower conciouseness.. |

God never said the world will come to an end. Never..The Jes us story was cleverly written by the Romans to keep them relevance for a long time. The messiah God promised to send was a normal human being, not a demi god. He will be from the tribe of Judah..He will be anointed as king, and rule in an era of peace. No more wars and oppression. Just as isaiah said " they will hammer their sword into ploughshares and learn of war no more..." The messiah can't be jesus if at all he even existed..
So look forward to the day wars will end on earth and peace will be enthroned . No more oppression. The lion and the goat will eat grass together..
It has not happened. And the word of the lord has not changed. Jesus is not the lord. He is just a roman created character., for the sole purpose of deception..and you fell for it.. |

MuttleyLaff: The Man in the original text actually says human beings, so the word MAN, in there, means human beings aka homo sapiens
I already aconcured with you when I said, though the “us” in Genesis 1:26's “let us make man," just as with "... become like one of us ..." verse, in Genesis 3:22 or "let us go down ..." in the Genesis 11:7 verse, is talking of the Godhead, but then we equally and unashamedly, could say that, in regards to particularly Genesis 1:26 alone, the “us”, is referring to God and the earth, taking cue from you pointing out that according to Genesis 1:24 it was “the earth” who brought forth all the land creatures, and you saying that, just as the earth brought forth the creatures, the earth too brought forth man, so yeah, as regards Genesis 1:26, then the “us”, is referring to God and the earth,
However, going forward of Genesis 1:26, anywhere else, “us”, is seen, it is referring to God (i.e. the Godhead) exclusively, being that we know, that “us” is a pronoun, occasionally used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself, as the object of a verb or preposition. The Lord (i.e. Elohim), God, is one. Remember that Elohim is usually understood to be grammatically masculine singular, so meaning there is no plurality in the Godhead. Capisce? What do you mean by God head ? In light of Isaiah 45:5-8 |

It is pretty obvious that, “us”, is referring to God (i.e. the Godhead) exclusively, being that we know, the word, “us” is a pronoun, occasionally used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself, (e.g. the Queen of England) as the object of a verb or preposition. The LORD, (i.e. Elohim) our God, the LORD is one (i.e. Deuteronomy 6:4 or Mark 12:29). Remember that Elohim is usually understood to be grammatically masculine singular. Who or what is man ? "And the lord God formed MAN from the dust of the earth and breathed in his nostrils and man became a living soul " I think it is pretty obvious , he was talking to the earth as she provided the dust for the body.. In the Igbo version she provided sticks for bones, beans for kidney, cucumber for dicks, ...you know what o mean.. |

Though the “us” in Genesis 1:26's “let us make man" just as with "... become like one of us ..." in the Genesis 3:22 or "let us go down ..." in the Genesis 11:7, is talking of the Godhead, but then we equally and unashamedly, could say that, in regards to particularly Genesis 1:26 alone, the “us”, is referring to God and the earth, taking cue form you pointing out that according to Genesis 1:24 it was “the earth” who brought forth all the land creatures, lmso, and you saying that, just as the earth brought forth the creatures, the earth too brought forth man, lmso, so yeah, as regards Genesis 1:26, then the “us”, is referring to God and the earth, lmso.

DeOTR: No, it's a vision. Daniel was still praying when Gabriel touched him. I know the visions are symbolic. Gabriel mentioned the timeline for the fulfillment of the prophecy. The first 7 weeks is for the rebuilding of the City of Jerusalem(From the time Artaxerxes issued a decree to Ezra in 457BC for the rebuilding of Jerusalem to when the city was completely restored in 15th year of Darius (408BC) is 7 prophetic weeks: 49 actual years). From the time Artaxerxes issued the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the Messiah, the Prince, is 69 prophetic weeks (483 years). From 457BC , the prophecy terminated in 27AD. And what event then occurred? We were informed that, "Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased."(Luke3:21,22). After this, Jesus came "preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, THE TIME IS FULFILLED" (Mark1:14,15). The time here mentioned must have been some specific, definite, and predicted period; but no prophetic period can be found then terminating, except the 69 weeks of the prophecy of Daniel, which were to extend to the Messiah the Prince. The Messiah had now come; and with his own lips he announced the termination of that period which was to be marked by his manifestation. The Messiah was to confirm covenant with many for one week (7 actual years). And in the midst of the of this week, the record informed us, the Messiah would cause sacrifice and oblation to cease (Jewish ordinances, pointing to the death of Christ, virtually came to an end at the cross). Do I need to say that from Jesus' baptism in the Autumn of 27AD to His crucifixion in the spring of 31AD, it's 3.5years, exactly in the middle of the 70th week of Daniel's prophecy? This prophecy is pointing exactly to Christ. It has nothing to do with any past or future Kingdom (correct me with verifiable facts if I'm wrong). Prophecies are clear when talking about kingdoms. Daniel 7 and 8 are good examples of visions pertaining to Kingdoms. Well, I think the best explanation will be given by the Jews, who owns the book of Daniel.. https://jewsforjudaism.org/knowledge/articles/daniel-9-a-true-biblical-interpretation/ |
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Was God Referring To, When He Said Come Let's Make Man In Our Own Image? by sonmvayina(m): 3:28pm On Dec 02, 2020 |
Let me answer this question with another question. Who brought forth all the land creatures? According to Genesis 1:24 it was “the earth.”
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. (KJV)
The Hebrew for “living creature” is נפש חיה nephesh hhayah. In Genesis 2:7 the phrase “living soul” is in Hebrew נפש חיה nephesh hhayah. That is correct, the very same phrase, but let’s read that verse in context.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (KJV)
According to this verse God “formed” the man from the ground. In fact, the Hebrew word for “man” is אדם (adam) and the word for ground is אדמה (adamah).
Just as the earth brought forth the creatures, the earth too brought forth man? Who is the “us” in “let us make man? I think it is pretty obvious. |

Why is it that only Christian understand this passage differently . Every other culture or tradition on earth has the original idea..
Man is a composite creation made up of spirit of God + dust of the earth..
If you continue reading you will see where it says God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed in to his nostrils and man became a living soul..all the creation myth in Nigeria says the same thing. Obatala made human from mud of the earth and called olodumare to animate them. Same with the Igbo creation . the Gods Igwe and Ala....
God was talking to the earth. Or mother nature..

DeOTR: So the verse is referring to Hezekiah or who? Let me agree with you for a second. So how do you explain Daniel 9:25–26? Not Hezekiah, the sign was Isaiah son. If you continue to read till 8 verse 18 it says " I and the sons the lord has given me, we are for signs and potents for the children of Israel. ".Daniel 9 is a dream . it is all symbolic. Start from the beginning too. It is talking about the kingdom past and the coming kingdoms.. |

what is my idea of God having a son in like manner as stated in Mathew and luke. I find it disgusting and a big insult on my creator. To even have the mind to cook up a story of him impregnating one of the wife of his creation to sire a son. It is the highest form of mockery and insult.. I have always maintained that Jesus is a roman creation, created as an insult of the creator just as Daniel prophesied in 9:25. Since most Christians believe that God sent Jesus as a sacrifice for sins. I have gone through , and I am yet to come accross anywhere God mandated such. If there is any place somebody should provide it. Isaiah 53 that is often quoted is talking about a suffering servant. That dies multiple times because of the wrong that was done to him. 8 times prior to 53 , isaiah tells us that the servant is Israel. |

5 SALVATION.
When we speak of salvation ,it is always about physical salvation. Not spiritual. The spirit is Gods. It does not need saving from anything. It is pure. Sin is a missing of the mark. You are expected to do something and you missed it or you did the opposite, it is God who created us like this. He knows we will be prone to make wrong choices, but he went ahead hoping that we will learn from our evil actions make amends and grow. Sin was part of Gods plane from the beginning. Evil exist as a learning tool for us.
When we do sin, just as the chronicular puts it in 2nd chronicles 7:14 " if my people who are called by my name will humble them selves and confess their sins and forsake their evil ways I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land "... If God who will offend by making wrong choices says if we confess and forsake. He will forgive is that not enough for us..?it is enough for me... |
