Mr. Finney tells of a church in which
there was a continuous revival for
thirteen years. At last the revival
stopped, and everybody feared and
questioned why, till one day a tearful
man arose and told how for thirteen
years he had prayed every Saturday
night till after midnight for God to
glorify Himself and save the people.
But two weeks before, he had stopped
this praying, and then the revival had
stopped. If God will answer prayer
like that, what a tremendous
responsibility rests on us all to pray!
Oh, for a holy soldier in every corps
and a believing member in every
church, who would spend half of
every Saturday night in prayer! Here
is work for resting officers, and for
people who cannot go into Christian
work because of insurmountable
difficulties. You can do some needed
knee-work.
But let no one imagine that this is
easy work. It is difficult and amounts
sometimes to an agony, but it will
turn to an agony of joy in union and
fellowship with Jesus. How Jesus
prayed! |

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name--(D) 13Who owe their birth neither to [c]bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!] |
Job 22:1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said, 22:2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself? 22:3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect? 22:4 Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment? 22:5 Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite? |
Psalms 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. 42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God. |
its better you post this in the programming section... |
bennyann:don't be 'so' disturbed about, the end that the bible prescribes/ordains for you is PEACE and I'm sure you don't want the opposite end of that. |
whatever you do, don't combine 2/more treatments... |
do you engage in physical/mental exercises? when last? taking lessons in public speaking might help overcome some of the challenges above. nevertheless, try and engage a medical specialist for for advice... |
donnie:The Lord will provide... |
God Himself will provide a lamb for the burnt offering. So the two went on together. 9When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built an altar there; then he laid the wood in order and [c]bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar on the wood.(A) 10And Abraham stretched forth his hand and took hold of the knife to slay his son.(B) 11But the [d]Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham! He answered, Here I am. 12And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear and revere God, since you have not held back from Me or begrudged giving Me your son, your only son. 13Then Abraham looked up and glanced around, and behold, behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up for a burnt offering and an ascending sacrifice instead of his son! 14So Abraham called the name of that place The Lord Will Provide. And it is said to this day, On the mount of the Lord it will be provided. |
unless you have not been in the country for a long time (like since infancy/birth) then this shouldn't be a challenge. |
