lioha:Nna mehn Isuikwuato. Pls tell me you are my nwanneukwu |
hunniesuzie:Igbo style okazi has a thickner, okazi is only the leaf added but in akwa ibom style, pounded okazi (afang) and waterleaf are the major ingredient and thickner. I have a picture of my afang (akwaibom style) but it's dark.
|
belladsweet:Ok if you can look up floraEC recipe for oha soup It's basically the same thing. Only that there won't be uziza and oha instead you put your well washed bitterleaf. Bitterleaf washed the igbo way i.e no shreding, the leaves will be long long. For finger licking ofe onugbu, use ede (cocoyam) as thickner instead of achi, ofo or ukpo and of course with adequate ogili igbo, the smellier the better.
|
FloraEC:Hahahha. Yes o! Our one and only aqua rapha |
belladsweet:I have never tried bitterleaf, but then it will be ofe onugbu and no longer ofe okazi. |
I have many recipe but no pix to go Nkwobi, fio fio, okpa and achicha na akidi |
Ofe okazi na akpurakpu egusi (okazi soup with moulded egusi) This soup is native to igbos of abia origin. Ingredients: Beef, kpomo, okporoko, dry fish, crayfish, Achi(100naira worth) Egusi 3 cups Osu 50naira Okazi 200 naira worth, thinly sliced. Achara (optional) 200 naira worth Oil, salt, knorr cubes Method: 1. Boil the okporoko, kpomo, beef etc till tender 2. For the moulded egusi, i used 2 cups out of the blended egusi mixed with the osu, little maggi and little pepper. Put d mixture in a tray and mould, add little warm water at a time till oil starts coming out and d consistency is like a dough. Cut into tiny flattened bits and put in avpot of boiling water. Cook for like 20mins and set aside. 3. In your meat stock, add oil, salt and seasoning cube. 4. Mix your achi, remaining egusi, dry pepper and crayfish in a bowl and gradually sprinkle this into the boiling stock. In this way, it wont form lumps. 5. Check the consistency and add water if necessary( shouldn’t Be As Thick As That Of Bitterleaf Soup). 6. Add the achara and the cooked moulded egusi. Cook for 5mins 7. Add the shreaded okazi, 2mins and the soup is ready. 8. You can add perinwinkle if you wish when you are adding achara. NB: Achi thickens as it's cooling down so be careful with the consistency while its cooking. My measurement is for a big pot of soup for refrigerating.

Acidosis has said it all. Hardly will you find a couple with the same sexual drive, more often than none, it's adjustment and compromise from both sides that work. Op, your wife has low sex drive, it could be hormonal or psychological. If in happy times shes like this and you swear she enjoys it when you both get down then it's likely hormonal. I dont know the solution to this, probably supplements for women's sexual health. What i do know for sure is you will need patience, lots of it. She may not really change after all said and done but you will both settle for a compromise and the situation wont be as painful as it is to you now. Some days will be better and few days bad. We all have the cross we carry in our individual marriages. I wish you the best. |
luvinhubby:Thank you sir. I guess this is the price of the steering box. |
GAZZUZZ:Thank you very much. The mechanic today said i will have to change the steering box that it's where the leakage is. Pls does some leakages warrant changing the entire steering box? |
MamaDG:Jesu! Pls don't try the advice, he's okay the way he is. He will crawl when he's ready. Is he sitting? |
Bloomingbud:Yes it's the same thing. Each antenatal visit, remind him you are still taking the ventolin. He will gradually stop it. Cheers |
zimunachimdi:Braxton Hicks is normal and shouldn't get painful, progressive or become regular. As a second time mum, you have some experience, if you feel it was just a one off contraction/pain you may not really need it. Stress, full bladder and thirst can make BH more intense. Take care |
zimunachimdi:It's safe nne. Salbutamol is a tocolytic as well. That is it relaxes the uterus. It's used in cases of preterm contraction, to stop it. It's safe ok. Cheers |
My steering fluid keeps getting short and my steering is now noisy, what could be wrong. |
Luvinhubby good day. Pls can you help me with the price of steering box/steering pump for 2006 discussion continues. Thank you |
Zaynie, thank God Atinuke is better. Enque, Happy birthday to beautiful Zara and many happy returns. |
Zaynie, i call for semo |
Eminya:Yes they are likely to admit her. Dont feel sad okay. She will be alright. Thank God it was noticed on time. The doctors know what to do and her pcv will come up. Cheers |
Eminya:Google says it shouldnt fall below 35%. My first son's pcv was 30% in about 8weeks or thereabout but since there was no clinical sign, the paediatrician placed him on syrup astyfer. Then for widal, i'm wondering why widal should be carried out on a baby this young? Typhoid? Typhoid is over diagnosed in Nigeria. Pls work with your doctor, this is just my personal feeling. Cheers |
4realwoman:Since it's just for ipt, pose the question to him and hear what his explanations will be |
Roseey0:In your case you were almost down with malaria (++). Malaria or suspected malaria in preg must be treated regardless of the trimester. But for IPT (preventive), the benchmark is after 16weeks. But then there's no absolute in medicine. |
My first experience at motherhood 1. Epidural - No 2. Father in room - where i see am 3. Induced - No 4. Stitched - yes, episiotomy 5. Knew gender before hand - yes from scan 6. Due date - 16/10/2011 7. Birth date - 5/10/2011 8. Morning sickness - very minimal during my first trimester 9. Cravings - 'madam 1' amala and okro soup 10. Pounds gained- 9kg 11. Gender of the baby - boy 12. Place of birth - UBTH 13. Hours in labour - 7hours 14. Weight - 2.6kg Age now - 6years plus |
Zaynie, pls how does the cooking stuff work? Is it just recipe or recipe and pix. Pls explain better |
Happy birthday Ekene bobo, many happy years ahead. |
4realwoman:Have you started feeling your baby move? Are you down with malaria or is it for IPT? Chloroquine is safe in all trimester and fansidar is safe from second trimester. Fansidar is more used for IPT. The usual practice is to take when you have started feeling baby movement(16weeks upward) except you are already down with malaria. |
