@jazzyjazz, I really don't see what's wrong with the circumcision, just a little foreskin but it's really not a problem neither is it unsightly. The cap(glans) is very visible. Does the skin cover the cap on a normal day? I will say you should leave it, what does your doctor say? |

Can I use Nizoral shampoo as normal shampoo for my toddlers? I used it some months ago for cradle cap but it's just at home wasting away. Dunno if it's safe for normal use.
cc Soonest and all mamas. Instead of it to waste away, use it up. After it finishes, don't make it there regular shampoo except there's cause. Cheers |

ISTANDWITHBUHAR: all women are not the same so she's is one of the women with brain and not those that will be ranting all over social medial..
As a woman how many times have you slap your husband IF you are married?
How many times have you lock his shirt on his neck?
How many times have you lock him in and said he is going no where..
How many times have you abuse him by calling him stewpid man, Madman etc...
Those are the kind of abusive word that need a factory resetting slap from a man..
I always warn my sisters never to stand tall with a man and raise your voice on him, Even if we or Government will later punish him, That will be after he might have done panel beating your face.. Oga, pray tell me is that the case with Mercy Aigbe? Seems you are an insider. Also, are all cases of DV caused by what you penned down? In the same way you guys exonerate a wife batterer, no right thinking woman will do all you have written. The man must be doing something to bring out the vile in the wife. The earlier we hold ourselves accountable for our actions and take responsibility without always saying he/she made me do it, the better for us |

Soonest babyyyy your attention is needed Lol. Zaynie no kill me wit laff o! Livez, yeah Augmentin is the culprit. Very notorious for diarrhoea in babies. How long has baby taken it? If she just started you can give Linez alongside. It's a probiotic. If she has almost completed d therapy, u can leave out d Linez. Just air the bum and use a barrier cream like sudocream or vaseline to coat the bum. The rash will heal soonest. But next time tell the doctor about your experience, cefuroxime is a better substitute in babies cos of diarrhoea associated with augmentin. Cheers |

aribisala0: No you are the one exhibiting vacuity. You still do not get it do you? Why I called you illiterate? It is " NYSC Bye-laws" not " NYSC Bye-law" clearly that is beyond you so let us leave that.
You came here and introduced the term "BYE-LAW" as a buttress to your stupidity. What is bye-law I ask you again? Where does a bye-law allow a person to take more leave than they are entitled to. The woman has taken maternity leave which she is only allowed to take in lieu of annual leave.Where does anything you have posted allow her to have reduced working hours?
Instead of owning up you are trying to bluff your way through.
The truth is she is not entitled to anything more than what she has already got so stop trying to confuse people You are a clown. The stage is all yours, you can have it 'cos i'm done with you. |

aribisala0: Insult ,Nigerians and insults. Please do not talk like an idiot .
firstly NYSC is not civil service.. The are not governed by civil service rules
It is a statutory obligation. It is part of education. Without an NYSC certifiate you cannot become a civil servant NYSC is not an employent scheme . It has to be viewed like IT . If your course says 1 year IT and you go and get pregnant you must extend. Therefore the NYSC must be viewed as part of training and education.Let us take any programme of training in general e.g . Piloting .And the rules say in order to qualify for a licence you must complete 400 hours of training and then you fall pregnant and complete only 350 should you get a licence? The same applies in medical traaining you would be required to complete X number of procedures to achieve specific certification. So it is quite fair to say NYSD in Nigeria is part of medical training.
When doctors qualify with MBBS even before NYSC they are required to do Housemanship before full registration with NMDC. It is a paid employment usually with the government or sometimes military. Are House officers civil servants? Why could she not get pregnant then, take maternity leave and see whether she would be registered if she does not complete her postings
So you cannot seek exemption on maternity grounds. The correct thing to do is to take time off and then return. What next people will start taking time off NYSC to go to Mecca or Jerusalem? And if you do not let them they will say you are stopping them from practising their religion. The same arguent that applies to Mecca applies to Pregnancy i.e why not do it next year or fostpone your NYSC? NYSC is a statutory duty . If the corper is not fit to articipate she should either take time off or apply for exemption. People should stop trying to play the system .
If society wants to change the rules for such people let it do so formally by changing the law not by resort to sentiment and blackmall. Personally I would support such a change and maybe the age should change to 25 since at that aage women and indeed some men are starting families. But that must be done properly So without NYSC certificate one can't be be civil servant. Really? What happened to RN nurses, clerical officers, technicians etc. 2. During housejob, if they are in govt hospitals, they are governed by civil service rules and ethics as it applies to houseofficers. |

aribisala0: So in summary the issue is you want to do 8-2 pm because you have a baby? You are a doctor you say. It is a shame you read medicine but did not read sense. So if you have this kind of problem Nairaland is the place to go for advice?
If you got pregnant whilst in medical school would you have been given any special privileges or exemptions from exams If you got pregnant during housemanship would you have been entitled to maternity leave? or exemptions
In our system and Law ,The NYSC IS PART OF YOUR EDUCTAION .Here you are treating the scheme with disdain thinking you can do what you like. Why did you not get pregnant while in medical school and not turn up for exams
Well you have no entitlement to special privileges You can take time off to look after your daughter and repeat the service year when you are ready, Nonsense and rubbish. Pls stop insulting her. The civil service states clearly that a nursing mother who has just returned from maternity is entitled to 2hours off everyday. So most close by 2pm or resume work by 10am. This is even in NYSC bye-law |
NYSC › Re: Doctor Corper Posted To A Military Hospital Cries Out For Help by soonest(f): 9:47am On Apr 02, 2017 |
Who says corpers don't do calls. 6months after resumption, you are suppose to be closing 2pm and you are not suppose to be doing overnight calls. That's what the civil service states. Pls escalate to your Z.I |

livelystone: Hello Mamas in the house. Please my ds is 1yr &4 months but has not started walking. He cruises around the house looking for things to hold but will not walk unaided. He hs been doing this for over 5 months. His nannies say he is making attempt at the crèche but no attempt at home. They said he was slowed down because of his sickness (he was sick for like a month: dysentery + hernia surgery + dysentery). I was told I should be worried only when he's 18 months, but that is just at d corner, please I'm over worried already. What can I do to encourage him. Mama relax ok! So far he's cruising then no cause for alarm. He will walk just that fear no wan gree am. You can get him a walker to settle your mind so that you can have the satisfaction that you are helping him. But with or without it, he will walk. Is at 18months that it's termed delayed, requiring a visit to the doctor. So relax ok |

Twogreatnations: Good evening lovely mamas in the house. My DD had her 14the week immunization last Saturday, she was feverish but no fever now. I am however worried because the site( her hip) oozed out pus tonight and it is still swollen and a bit reddish. Is there anyone in the house who has experienced this?
Cc soonest and every other mama.
Pls find attached the swollen hip. So sorry. That's an injection abscess. Use warm compress for it to reduce swelling and speed up draining of the pus. Watch it, if after 3 days, it's not going down and it's still producing pus, you may need to visit your doctor for an antibiotics course and if necessary incision and drainage. Pls give baby paracetamol to reduce the pain. |

jazzyjazz: Good morning mamas o Abeg I don come again
My son no de sleep o! Before he used to sleep around 9pm or 10 but would wake at midnight and then sleep around 2am and be up every hour to feed till day break
But for the past 2 days, he no de sleep o! He will sleep maybe by 8pm, wake by 9pm or 10pm, then him eye go de shine like diamond till 6am o!
This one na another phase too? I no understand o!
Secondly, Abeg when does kpekusing resume after child birth? My son is 5weeks old already and dh has been asking when it's safe for us to resume. I told him 8wks though.
Lastly, I had a small tear and my episiotomy has healed except for one tiny spot at the mouth of the jajaina - it itches when I wash (I wash with water only and I don't scratch it). I felt it with my fingers once and I think I still felt a thread (they used dissolvable thread) so I assumed that part is the muscle and is yet to be healed fully (I did sitz bath after delivery)
Biko epp me
Cc Soonest For your son waking up all na vigilante things. They keep changing and adjusting so you have adjust with them. I guess he sleeps all morning now. Don't worry he will adjust again. From my experience, baby's start sleeping well at night from 4months but not all through the night o. For the episiotomy site, it's not fully healed. You are just 5wks pp so can continue your sitzbath or just keep good hygiene around the area like you are doing. It will eventually close up. For kpekusing ministry, try and wait till 6weeks after your postpartum visit especially as you are not fully healed. Tell daddy Ilan to hold body small. I resumed 3months pp, some resume 3weeks sef. It all depends on your body and your readiness for it. Cheers |
