I'm just 24 weeks pregnant. It's agonizingly difficult to get out of bed, or get up from a sitting position, or even walk.
I couldn't sleep last night because of the pain.
However there are no contractions at all, though my baby's movements are really low in my pelvis, like it suddenly changed position. My water hasn't leaked at all.
I had PPGP (Pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain) towards the end of my last pregnancy. This feels just like it felt then. My doctor is in another city.

So sorry cappo. You may need to see another doctor so that the pain can be managed or better still call your old doctor since he has managed you for this before. Meanwhile limit your movement. Call your office and take some days off. Do you have a help at home? Sorry o, i can imagine the pains.

Saabi mamas. Good morning o. This thought has been bugging me lately and need advise on how to go about it. NO JUDGING PLEASE IF YOU GOT NOTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO SAY JUST WAKA PASS.
In this type of environment and with our culture is it possible to raise a child 'genderless' i.e the child won't be referred to as either a boy or a girl till the child is of age to decide what he/she wants to be. I know it's gonna be tough, the child will be dressed in unisex outfit initially afterwards as the mother deems fit, will do whatever you the child wants or as the spirit directs. Do we think it's possible and won't backfire?

Not possible in our culture/environment.
In school, church etc people will call the child this boy or this girl, boys this side and girls this side. So the child must identify with a gender.
A child is born with a sex organ and that defines the gender. Anything short is an anomaly, absurdity and an anathema.
Hope i'm not judging. Forgive, if it came out judgemental.

The doctor checked her chest and said it's clear but said he suspects a type of asthma that it's symptom is just non-stop cough because that's how she has been coughing since middle of the night to the extent that she can't eat and is weak.

Asthma isnt diagnosed in children till 4 to 5 years of life. Broncholitis, hyperactive airway disorder etc mimic asthma.

Please I need advice.

My 21-month-old daughter was having cough and running temperature last week. We took her to the hospital and she was given amoxicillin to be used for a week. Three days after we started giving her, she coughed all through the night to the extent that she could not sleep. Had to take her back to the hospital and she was nebulized twice. The doctor then gave us piriton, azithromycin and prednisolone. The prednisolone is new to me so I decided to check it online. The information I saw on it was scary to say the least. Now, I'm scared to give her. Should I go ahead or not? Please help.

The treatment is in order. My baby of 23months has been managed for hyperactive airway disease off and on, prednisolone was added for 3days. Prednisolone for a short duration is ok. The history you gave must have necessitated the addition of prednisolone. No cause for alarm. Hope the prednisolone isnt for more than 1week.

Thanks mamas, I will start taking the ugwu and garden egg extract today, someone advice I add liquid peak milk to the extract. Just imaging the taste alone is giving me goose bumps but I will do whatever it takes to increase this PCV . Once again E seun pupo.

Yes. You still need to take it to rule out worm infestation. It's safe in 2nd trimester.
Go easy on the ugu extract, it gives running stomach. I will rather advice you use garden egg leaf extract cos the leaf is naturally eaten raw. Pls dont add milk as they say! Milk decreases and delays the absorption of iron so whatever iron you are getting from the leaves may not enter the bloodstream. Instead, you can take them hours apart say milk in d morning and the extract in the afternoon. All the best. Your pcv will rise, i'm a testimony.

I had an itch on my lips on saturday but didn't scratch it cos I was at work and didn't want to ruin my lipstick.

By evening, it had a rash and by Sunday, it was swollen and unsightly! I managed till today and went to the hospital. I decided to ask the Matron what to do cos I had no idea if I was to see a Gynae or GOPD!
Men, the woman shouted at me. Said I know what to do, i shouldn't ask her anything..blabla! I started crying.
It was a nice woman who directed me on what to do. Guess what? GOPD had no idea why my lip was swelling up and referred me to Surgery. Meeting them on Wednesday

Mamas, please what could be the problem? It doesn't itch or pain me. It's just ugly and has little pus-like stuff on it.

Secondly, My doctor decides to deworm me, can I take de-worming drug while pregnant, has any mama been deworm while pregnant..please i need your input.

Green leafy Vegetables cannot be over emphasized. In addition up your protein consumption. At least an egg/ meat/fish meal a day. Use crayfish generously too.

The sharp drop in your pcv is the reason for the deworming. I was dewormed in my last pregnancy. I see you just entered 2nd trimester. You can wait till 16weeks or when you have started feeling your baby's kicks before taking d worm medicine. All the best.

Actually it's a deficiency of Vit C. It has been happening to me as far as I can remember till now mind you I'm almost an adult. The cure is Vit C. If you can get vit C supplement suitable for his age he will be fine. It's very painful I know that. I don't always talk anytime it happens to me Self. It's that Painful. Citrus fruits like orange, lemon etc is the prefect cure but it's not suitable for a baby as its contains acid. So Vit C supplements it is.

Hello every1. Trust we r all good.

Ok,i noticed that my ds(25months)has not been eating well only for me to check his mouth and i saw a whitish spot with a red circle on his lower,inner lip and also running temp. So i started using warm water/salt with cotton wool to clean d place & giving him ibrupofen syrup. But there was no improvement at all bcus he refused eatng nor taking even water!

We took him to the hospoital on sun night cus d temp got so so high that even tepid-sponging did nada! He was given antibiotics,vit c & ibrupofen.

Yesterday,i noticed ders another white patch on his left tip of tongue,omg! I pity d boy o! He cnt evn take water without crying... He really wants to eat but the thot of d pains when food enters his mouth,makes him withdraw!

Just this afternoon,i saw a bigger patch with about 3tiny ones around it on d right edge of his tongue! God,wat is this ooo! He cant even close his mouth! He has lost so much weight from friday evening.

The antibiotics mks him poop alot but i have to continue giving him...

What could have caused the white patches. I learnt its an infection!

Is there anything else i can use to hasten the healing I'm so so so worried for him...

It's a viral infection. It will stop on its own, most often than none, the tonsils are equally enlarge causing difficulty in swallowing. In my DS case, his gums were swollen and bleeding too. Just continue with the ibuprofen for pain relief and temp control, vit c for improved immunity and of course the antibiotics to prevent secondary infection. Sorry o! Max 1wk, it will be over. Give more of liquid/ semi solid foods like cerealac, goldenmorn, pap etc.
