Great Ladies here, handling my 4months old baby boy hair has been a hurcelian task right from when he was a month old. You can't touch his hair without him crying so much. The hair twirls a lot, I tried some yesterday night, hubby is urging I lock everything, n stop stressing the baby, then when he is 1yr, we shave it.

If I were the one I will shave the hair but if you don't mind him carrying locks, then you can lock it. Cheers

Good evening Mamas. Please help I don't know the first aid to give my DD, apart from Paracetamol & vitamin C. She cut her inner lips today, it happened at her creche. Before now, she has been having fevers at night for like 3days cos she is teething. I normally use tepid water to clean her and give her paracetamol and she is better, but tonight, she is restless and the fever isn't going down. Please help.

Contains paracetamol and chlorpheniramine(piriton). Yes paracetamol will relieve pain but d piriton component will just keep dozing the child. I'm not just a fan of teething mixtures.

Weight of the baby is best used to calculate doses, so what's your baby's weight. However, If he's up to 5.5kg, then he should take 1.5ml every 12hours using Augmentin 228 syrup. Augmentin 156 is better used for that age grade sha. What dose did your doctor give you. Use syringe minus the needle to get accurate measurement.
Hope your Dr told you to expect loose stool with augmentin.

@dansak, so far you are still breast feeding and adding formula to his cereal, that should be enough.
My children have never accepted formula as a drink. All I do is bfeed and add formula to d cereals.

I am not happy beating my child, it not a thing of joy that any mom will beat even her grown up not to say a six months old. And besides when she is crying she don't still take much she cry in a way that she won't still swallow the food like she is crying and the food is still in her mouth, have anyone also seen that or pass thru that. I have join this thread almost four months and I read everything, before I posted here know it has gone beyond my control. Can a six months survive on that and am a working mom. She goes to crèche. Mama cool down. She's only 6months just trying to get a hang on other tastes and textures. Many babies do that. Even my own did that. Once you put food in his mouth, he feigns sleep. Once you leave him, he bends his mouth and everything comes out. Was very frustrating but guess what, it's a phase. He's a voracious eater now.
Keep giving bmilk and formula and little of other things. Her appetite will improve with time ok.
Don't beat n feed again. She might choke and die. God forbid.
Pls be patient with her. Forget about her weight for now.

Ps: pls we should correct with love. It isn't easy being a mother and nobody does it right all the time.

Abidec is not needed if your lo is sucking well and you yourself you are eating well.
But let me confess, I gave my son in the early weeks because he will rather sleep than suck. I gave it to boost his appetite.

Sleeping well? I don't think any new mum sleeps well 2 weeks postpartum. But if it's much of a bother, you can take it a day, maximum 2days. Diazepam accumulates in breastmilk so don't get use to taking it.

Enque, diclofenac can be used but diazepam is excreted in breastmilk, enough to sedate your baby and make him lethargic. Why is he giving you diazepam?

17weeks ....no kicks,no movement nada atall.
Last scan i did @15weeks n 4days,result says:baby doing great,normal heartbeat,but not in cephalic position but(floating and breach)i am really worried!

If scan says baby is ok then baby is ok.
Just a little while you will start feeling all the flutters, nods and jabs. Probably you have anterior placenta that's masking the little flutters.

1. If you can change it, pls do. If you can't then use it. That's what I will do if It were (o be me.
2. Catarrh can be as a result of common cold virus, irritation or allergy to dust, perfume etc. Not necessary a sign of underlying problem. Malaria and catarrh atimes go hand in hand.
