IMHO, I think it's too much gas in the tummy.
*Burp often
*Don't allow him cry for long b4 feeding so that he doesn't swallow much gas
*If you are doing exclusive, make sure he latches properly to avoid much swallowing of air
*If you are bottle feeding, watch how you position the bottle
*Gently massage his tummy at bath time.

It means the end of omugwo. Usually between 3-4months. That's when you can start going out.
I learnt in the olden days it was celebrated but now christianity has taken over in the form of child dedication (ikuputa nwa uka).

Nana228, since you react to chloroquine, amodiaquine is another safe alternative. Amodiaquine with the amoxil you are taking should do the trick.

I have a 9months old son who hasn't slept for 3hour straight since birth. He always wakes up to breastfeed almost every hour. I am getting really exhausted. Maybe I caused it because I feel he does it out of habit sometimes but I don't know what to do to help him sleep longer. Please experienced mothers, will he learn to sleep longer on his own? What do you feed him with for dinner. If he sleeps by 9pm for example, try n give him cereals by 8:30pm so that he will sleep longer b4 waking.
Also this hot weather isnt helping. Once they are hot and comfortable they wake up, breastfeeding will be the next on their mind.
Well, for most babies they don't sleep throughout the night if they are still breastfeeding. Don't worry very soon, once you wean, you will have your beauty sleep back. Cheers

Good day fellow mama's, I went for antenatal last Wednesday and test showed protein in urine and high blood pressure, I was immediately admitted and given medications(am still in the hospital). Went for scan yesterday and it showed baby measuring 29weeks5days when am 32weeks plus, normal heart rate(142bmp) and viable but insufficiency of placenta.
Was asked to do a repeat scan on Tuesday to recheck, Dr said if the placenta is still insufficient I would be delivered of the baby to save his life.
Test from Wednesday have shown no protein in urine.
Is there anything I can do or drugs for the placenta issues. Please I need your ideas, prayers, suggestion and love.

I don't think there's any drug for placental insufficiency. I only know of steroids which must be given if baby is to be brought out preterm, it's to mature his lungs.
Our prayers is that baby's measurement should be ok at the repeat scan on tuesday.

Ask questions, see if you can trace this aunty. Don't you know her family house? If you need your baby, leave no stone upturned. Cheers

My friend got pregnant and she said she intends removing it. So we bought a lot of drugs from pos.. to mes... u name it, we bought all so it did not work...

Then there was this one she bought I've forgotten the name . After she took it she began to bleed . We thought that was it, so the next day, we bought pregnancy strip to test and its still showing two lines which is positive.... Then we waited for a week and she went to the lab and it's still showing positive...

Is it positive for the baby to still be there or is it out? .I'm confused. Doctors in the house, pls help ...pls no abusive words.....

@noqualms1, just make sure you keep baby hydrated. All will be well. Most time these diarrhoeas are viral and will run its course. You are even advised to let d child stool and pass out d offending organism.
As for d diaper rash, it's because of d stooling. Coat the area well with vaseline or sudocream and change nappy more frequently.

Trying to change his diaper after he has poohed. My baby will just be flinging his legs up and down. He ends up staining his clothes, his changing mat and soiling his hands.

My baby likes to pull out the drawers in his cabinet. He will pull them out, climb inside, throw out all the clothes and when he's done he will use the clothes as rags.

Electric wires, putting on and off the stabilizer seems to be his new rave.

Someone already has 4 children enrolled with NHIS. When she was pregnant with them she wasn't an enrollee so she paid for her antenatal care. Thereafter she got a job with govt agency and became an enrollee so also her 4 children. Now she's pregnant, is she entitled to antenatal care under NHIS considering she has never enjoyed the service under NHIS. Thank you

It's likely haemorrhoid, quite common in pregnancy. Feel your anus, if it seems there's a protrusion, just gently push it in. Sitz bath helps a lot with haemorrhoid. You shouldn't be in excruciating pains o, if you are, you should try and see your doctor. All the best

So Dh is traveling this morning for an official trip and we kpekus not so long ago, after the sweet kpekus as Dh was wiping, he saw blood and said "babe you're bleeding". I thought it was a joke o! I went to wipe too and saw blood. It's not much but it's enough to scare us both.

Though I'll go to the hospital this morning but Please o should I be worried?
