Please how can I increase breast milk supply? I started giving my ds formula when the pains was unbearable due to cracked and bruised nipples but now the sore nipples are gradually fading away and breast feeding is not as tough as it used to be and I want to stop giving my ds the formula.

Presently I'm on constant pap and kunu
Though it's helping, but when I don't take any of the two, my ds does not get enough breast milk.

How do you know you are not making enough bm? My advice is to keep eating right with lots of fluid. Keep putting baby to breast too cos the more he sucks the greater your supply will be. Cheers

Queen1, get baby tribotan and apply in the affected area or boil red acalypha in water and use it to bath her. No agbo or herbal concoction for baby's tender liver, pls insist.

Jazzy!! Congrats on the birth of Ilan. Sorry about the cracked tips. Coat with lasinoh and let baby keep latching on well, it'll heal soon. Breastfeeding is usually abit painful at the beginning but this usually wears off soon. Congrats once again

She was called a mad woman for no reason. You can see people like omoge grinning in support and calling her names. This is someone that has kept this thread very alive. Useful tips, fun ideas , prayer sessions and so on. Not one person stood up to defend her against the abuse she received or the followup sarcasm that was thrown at her.

My ds of 11weeks old has been having multiple boils on his head. He has been placed on Augmentin twice. The boil reappears again after finishing each dose.
Now, I dont want to bombard his body with antibiotics anymore. pls who has experience this recurring multiple boils and how did you overcome it?

Do you usually complete the dose? Well, improve hygiene around the house.
Add savlon when doing her laundry.
When they burst, clean the boil and the surrounding area with disinfectant.

No its not too late for rota vaccine.

Pls don't wrap baby up inside this heat o! He's a human being too and feels hot the way we do. One layer of cotton cloth is enough in this heat. Open windows for proper ventilation but be mindful of when it starts getting cold in the early hours of the morning. If you must use fan make sure it's not directed at baby.

Fever isn't but stooling paves way for the real thing. Watch the irregular contractions and know when to move. All the best dear.

Ginger isn't all that safe in 1st trimester, except in very small quantities (I think they say 200mg or so) or in meals

A little amount won't hurt anyone.

For allergies. Histamine is implicated in allergies manifesting as catarrh, body itching etc. Piriton is an antihistamine so it's useful in these symptoms.

Sorry for the cough ma. Sadly I don't know what you can do and only advise I can give is that you see adoctor. You're 10weeks which means your pregnancy is still very delicate so you have to thread with caution.

Watch her closely, you may need to take her to see a physiotherapist to check if her Achilles tendon is short. One of my sons did exactly the same thing, we visited a physio then and a special shoe was made for him, we weren't consistent with wearing it. Guess what? He still tip toes at 5+.

It means you are getting nearer to the D-day.
BH gets stronger and more frequent towards the end. Pls pack your things and get ready whenever BH becomes regular and it's sustained. i.e for Eg one every 10mins for up to 1hr.

Steam inhalation will help alot.
Drink a lot fluids to keep you hydrated and help flush out the virus.
It will run its course and go.
You can take 1 or 2 doses of piriton and paracetamol to feel better.

castor oil can be used to induce labour. It's safe to use but causes diarrhoea.
