Of the one they dash me? I am not selling yet. I am still looking for a gear for the car. Engine, A/c in good order. Right hand converted to left but was refitted. Once I get a gearbox, I might give it to you for free unless you want it and go and fix the gear yourself.

The last time I saw one, the guy came online for advise and ended up dashing me. He came one day, packed all his things in the car and left. 4 years running. I have fixed the engine but the gear is my issue now. Tell the seller to give it out as a seed instead of selling it.

Hello the gurus in the house , I just joined this thread today. I have two heachache with my Lr3 2008. Firstly it wrote transmissions fault , limited gear available . Then , secondly now , the gear selector is always hook in park except I lift string up . Please what's the way . Thank.

Welcome, First Change your transmission fluid and use good ones. There are oils called gear oil and oils called Transmission fluids. They are all the same but the car that it is meant for matters. So for your LR3, look for any oil that supports ZF6

Benin history was amended in the early 1900 to future ife relationship with benin,
Oba Akenzua did so in the former western region so that he could be elevated as the topmost ruler amongst the yoruba kings, he sided with egharevba the benin first historian to rewrite the original ekaladeran story of benin, he also took side with alafin of oyo to rewrite Oduduwa history so that the ooni will be disposed, the alafin of oyo later told the British the ooni was just a servant to Oduduwa that he himself was the original heir to Oduduwa, the alafin had his own agenda to also be the topmost ruler in the western region he later slyed the oba of benin, when he saw both of thier plans wouldn't work against the ooni of ife, mind you the oba of benin initially and no historical ties with Oduduwa he only came into the political game after the creation of westeen region so he wasn't accepted as yoruba, everything backfired against him even egharevba was forced by ibadan printing press to edit the cooked up story about Oduduwa to favour it to ife, egharevba needed to proceed in his acedemic career after the edited publication by egharevba he got famous and he was given admission to study for his phd in university of ibadan, he had written that benins migrated from ife and postulated the orun oba ado stories were oba heads were carried to be buried in ife, he forgot benin history was documented by many European historians
Despite the oba of benin failed plans the marginalization by the yoruba people increased, he had to request for the pulling out of the western region, awolowo rejected it, it took the help of him and other top politicians that made it possible if not benins would have been fully yorubanise by now


Here is a foreign author who wrote about the relationship between benin and ife in his conclusions he found out that there was no inital connection between both ife and benin that if there was any connections it possibly sprang up in the creation of nigeria,and that the Portuguese never recorded any form of relationship between both party during thier 600years visiting benin

This is just one of the authors who totally disagree on the benin and ife connection

My next research would be on the origin of benin were we binis migrated from, after that i can rwrite an article on benin history

The first one is the altar of earth that is erected to offer sacrifice, the second is circumcision, and the most powerful one is the promise land that drinks the rains from heaven. It is not like the irrigated garden but drink the rain from heaven. I have been curious to know why the first Oba will come from ife if we don't have any relationship with ife? I have not been oppurtuned to read Oba Erediauwa's book, your obedient servant and if you know where I can get a copy, do let me know. I will also suggest this book, Benin, city of blood, written by one of the British invasion personnel. I have not seen it anywhere except on Amazon. God will give you the strength to unravel the truth.

Op, buy the Lexus IS450. That is the best Lexus ever. All these little problems does not exist on this car. Only problem is that you need to be traveling all the time with it. I can help you on that by stretching it to Benin and back every weekend. All for free.

It is not the dash but the screen. The screen can be used as reverse camera without any modification on the dash.

Shop rite. Any of their outlets. The key issue once happened to me in my E240 Benz years ago. Sometimes I will be stuck with it for over an hour and then it will open and starts. Once I was on the highway and I had a flat tyre and after changing it, I started the car and it didn't suck. Tow trucks came and they could do nothing because the cannot drag it and it was getting late. By 7.30 in the evening, it sucked and started. It finally died in Abuja and I went to Capital Motors and they could not get it right. I went back to Lagos to collect the mechanical key and It worked fine till it expired. I was told that the mechanical key will work for 6 months and then I will be on my own. Last Las I changed the brain box, the hammer and the eis and things went back to normal. If by chance, you follow this advice, make sure that the serial number on the ECU matches with the one in your car. It must be the same model or that will be the end of the car

the 08 09 has the tendency to be equipped with it. The European spec with DVD also are equipped with TV module and can also have the video box. All that is needed is to use the navigation system as reverse camera.

Like you were told, focus on the key before you will be stranded on the road. Change the ignition lock or look for a new key but before then, remove all the gadgets that my colleagues did on the car. Let it be back to factory default. Your fan must work with the thermostat.

They rectified the errors in the 010 versions but we can make calls use the phone book and perform voice dialing. On some particular models, the navigation system can be turned into the reverse camera for the 09 downwards.Using the aux is also wonderful. There's a video box that can give you access to YouTube and the internet but I have not been able to verify it

The truth about Audi in Nigeria is that they are quickly destroyed by our fuel. I see the new ones sold locally and I marvel how they survive in the country. I have a touareg in my office and the cost of repairs is 450k and to buy the car is 200k for demolition. The owner abandoned it. We towed it from warri where my colleagues did their own thing and ruined the car. To buy a vw car right now is hell fire reloaded on earth. There is still a glimmer of hope. Try and look for octane booster any type except Abro and continuously use it and as it is written on the oil cover, use Castrol. And restore all the tropicalised gadgets that my colleagues did to the car. Buy the Vag for your mechanic but don't let him use your car for testing because it is one thing to own one and another thing to interpret the codes. Even if you get a good mechanic, if you are not using premium unleaded fuel only, just give it out. How many Audi do you find on the road except Audi 80?

We will change it to castrol edge extended performance 5w30 for you. You should have bought the car very cheap to punish the owner for using substandard engine oil.

A lot of people are upgrading to the new spec but this your spec is still the best of the brand. I will be expecting you. I will be open on Monday if you are available. My only issue is why the Mark up by Cars45 is so high.If the markup was fair, people will understand that buying a good vehicle from them is based on pure luck.Not putting a price tag of an Ok vehicle.

However, ive seen one of the cars they put up for sale on the road now doing quite alright. I don't know how much the new owner invested in it but car looks alright. Not smoking and gear shifts sounds quite alright.
Some people may get lucky but seems like most get the wrong end of the stick. I think test drives will go a long way in solving a lot of their problems.

I once went to Berger to inspect a range rover sport for a client that wanted to buy. We were allowed to start it and scan it but my scanner battery died when I got there. The car was from Germany and they falsified the original car documents to Switzerland. They adjusted the mileage from 282000 to 82000 kilometers. We paid 7m for it but the car was very clean and OK. The mileage was discovered when we used the oem scanner. That said, we have unscrupulous people in every sector. If they allow test drive, then they will employ extra staff with security to accompany the car for the ride. There was in the news of a guy who took a Porsche for a test drive and drove away with the car. That would now be a common story with the junk cars. Even the previous owners can organize to steal it in the guise of test driving it. They also have a policy of bringing your own mechanic to inspect the car on your behalf. Let's move on and encourage others to come up with a better solution of taking care of our junk naija used cars off our roads.

I used to change the atf without waiting for it to cool down. If you are changing oil please change the gear filter too and let them wash the sump of the gear too

If both drivers got 3rd party!, good news for them, the insurance company takes care of the liability; The owner of car A files for claim for car B, and the owner of car B files for claims for car A, The procedure for claims settlement is very easy!, report accidents to the nearest police station were the accident took place, then visit the claims department for necessary documentations(every Insurance Company has a claim department). The truth about engine flushing using chemical (flusher) is not advisable because the chemical will weaken seals in the engine. Also, if used, there's no length of drainage time that will ensure the old (spent) oil and flusher to completely be removed from the engine. The chemical residues in the engine, when new oil is poured, will weaken the new oil thereby reducing the efficacy of the new oil, this will then expose the engine to excessive wear, tears and possible damage, even knocking.
Alternatively, it's advisable for technicians to manually remove sludge from engine. Also, car users are advised to use only the recommended oil for their cars regardless of costs. Google the SAE and API details of the oil recommendations for your car. Avoid SAE 20w50 grades as much as possible, because they're sludge forners.
Also, always use POLYTRON MTC in your car engine for ultimately protection.

I do understand your point but there are different types of engine flush and I know of some that when you use it, you will find metal particles in the oil. There are some that are oil like and also others that fit the description that I had earlier described. Everything depends on the one that you want to use. But does your polytron eliminate sludge from the engine? Is the engine oil suitable for bigger engines and what are the sae specs for the oil? Synthetic oil also causes sludge. If I use all those cheaper synthetic oil for a range rover, it will dry up and create sludge
