When everybody thought only the Oba of Benin was invited to the british embassy, I remember all the insults flowing from the yoruba who were saying it wasn't dignifying that the Oba of Benin would grace the prince of wales by going to the british embassy. As soon as it was clear that the ooni of ife was also invited, the yoruba changed their tune and it was now about sitting arrangements for the group photo. Whomever was sitting closest to prince charles was the highest according to the same yoruba.

When people call you guys hypocrits, it is not an insult, that is what you are. Every now and then, your ooni of ife would come out to make an incredibly foolish statement and you will all jump to defend it: he has claimed that an ooni of ife lived 500 years, that the igbos migrated from ife, that Benin Kingdom was withing Edo-state and part of yoruba territory, that a prince from ife founded Lagos, 80 million yoruba living in Brazil... The list goes on.

So we can ask ourselves how greatness of precolonial Kings who no longer have executive power should be measured. I dare say it is not by sitting arrangements on a photo.

Some plausible ways to measure the greatness of a precolonial African King:

1) The greatness of the precolonial Kingdom he ruled.
2) The status of his father
3) What was named after his kingdom (perharps a postcolonial country and/or a bight ?)
4) Artefacts
5) Architecture
6) How did he lose his executive power ? Did he fight or did he give up without a fight ?
7) This one is closely linked to point (1): how old is the oldest text talking about his kingdom and what does it say about his kingdom.
8 ) precolonial maps.
9) Organisation of the monarchy (you know a monarchy is fake when it has no capital and the lowest title is that of king)

All the yorubas do is bring up a fairytale of "oduduwa" to "justify" their ooni being the "source".
In reality, ife was not developped when the british arrived contrary to Benin City which is the capital of Benin Kingdom (like abuja is the capital of nigeria and paris is the capital of france). Many cities withing Benin Kingdom (including Onitsha, Auchi, Warri, Lagos, Asaba) were way more developped than ife. In all the points above, Benin Kingdom beats ife village hands down.

My Oba will not make any mistakes that the Sultan and the ooni made. Charles is not a king, if his mom sent him on an errand, he should meet with his peers and not his mother contemporaries. Our Oba realized that and he allowed the political obas to stay with the prince.

From the photo you posted. Prince Charles is not a king. He is a prince and heir to the throne. For the sultan and the ooni who are political monarch to sit down in the front row means that they have no pedigree. The Oba of Benin had to sit away from them. Ooni's son can never take the place of his father ditto the sultan and they are sitting first row with a prince who is not sure if he will ever be king even though he was born as a heir to the throne. 5w30 gasoline engine oil only. Transmission fluid is type tiv. I will suggest Motul energy 5w30

Your car requires 0w30 or 0w40 for all weather protection. The 0w30 used to be available at Total outlets but I can't say for now. You can also use Mobil 1 0w40

Let us see the car quest oils for our vehicles from the US. That's all that matters. If the oil is using the Syngard technology like Valvoline does, I rather buy Syngard oil and transmission fluid. All those prime guard are made by cross oil, which is Syngard

Na the problem we dey face for Nigeria. European formula for American cars. Almost all of our cars are from America. Bring the oil for the cars and we'll be happy with you. When the German producers of Addinol came to my office to present their oil, I gave them a list of our requirements and they are ensuring that they meet our standards. Any oil of high quality that is not energy conserving or resource conserving is not ideal for any American spec. Api SL is still valid for some cars but the all climate is not energy conserving.

I have gone through the link and I will rather buy Total Ineos than to buy any of these oils that you are advertising here. The 5w30 is an Api sl and it is petrol and diesel spec. Total is Api SN, Oando is Api SN but are diesel and gasoline spec. Api sl is still valid in most Toyota cars but SN is backward compatible. Honda cannot use the oil ditto Toyota as it is only eod that might use it but Eod needs gasoline engine oil only ditto Toyota.
For a European spec oil that is not meant for the US auto industry to be used in Nigeria that uses US automobiles, then it is dead on arrival.

Please can you share light on this Valvoline all climate. The ones that I saw does not correspond to the one that is placed on this thread. I have used my laptop to zoom the words on the side of the gallon and it looks like arabic letters. Show us the website that you copied the gallons from. The all climate that I read about were conventional oil.

Addinol oil. 5w20 is very good. It is a German oil with high quality. Over 80 years of producing quality products. I have been using it for a year now, no shortage, no dryness. And no sludge. The seller number is 08130305435. They also have 0w20. The good oil is in the market now.

The atf I saw there is Total Fluid OK which is a Dextron II.
Pls what is the proper name for the MVLV version of atf. Is there any other product I can use that is not total.

If you are in Lagos, go to Toyin Street or Sheraton Total Outlet. Dexron 11 is obsolete. It is for cars that does not have electronically controlled gearboxes. Even tiny light camry will have their gears destroyed. The Dexron 11 for old Toyotas are the Mobil ATF. That is what the gear oil is suitable for. Dexron 11e.

Whitewashing this matter is annoying. Toriola has been director since 2007. Is it a life position? They found out that motorists are using their old plate numbers on their new cars. So if I sold my Toyota car and bought BMW and the camera captures the BMW with a Toyota number, who will be responsible? Because of the policy, number plates are very scarce, prices have gone up, people now buy cars and keep it at home while looking for money to pay for number plate. It has never happened before. Even with the computerized testing centers being manned by them, it is not serving its purpose as you are given the certificate and told to come for test at your convenience. Is revenue a goal or performance of policy? Lagos motor administration is in a mess right now and I wish Fashola, an American trained vehicle inspector the best in putting things right. First thing is for him to abolish taking away the number plate after selling your car. In mvaa price list, the cost of change of ownership is 10k white for new plate number is 12k500. Let us support the new boss to ease our stress in motor vehicle administration in Lagos State.

Honda requires Atfz1 and they stopped recommending the oil since 2011. Total mvlv is new from Total and it is very ideal for your car. It is a dexron 6 transmission fluid.

Infinity tyres in Apapa are selling the oil. I believe it is sold for 13k. It is full synthetic and it is an Api sl. I used to work in a lube bay and every month, we serviced over a 1000 cars in our 3 outlets.

Please which oil will you recommend for Honda 2001 Accord. The manual says: Always use a premium-grade deter-gent oil. Always use an oil that is labeled "APIService SJ."
You may use a synthetic motor oil if it meets the same requirements given for conventional motor oil;energy conserving, a service classification of SJ, and the proper weight as shown on the chart.

It is difficult to find Api sj in the market but Api SL is backward compatible with Sj. Like it is stated, 5w30 Api SL will work well for you and from my experience Motul eco energy is OK

It is produced by a refiner who also produces for other labels. It is like Abro producing everything but for different folks.
Comments from users abound

They had some oil flagged by the PQIA. Later they invited the PQIA to test their oil and visit their facility and at this time they passed inspection. It's available near me at a rock bottom prices and I have tried it. Their syn blend gave me the most wear metals I have seen to date although I really shouldn't judge them on just one test.

The only issue we never agreed on.. Was him claiming his Toyota motor oil 5w-30 was full synthetic.. Infact he claims it is the same oil with mobil 1 advance full synthetic

Satire in the highest order. It was a motor oil like the white gallon Castrol oil. He has to market his product like my Castrol friend who want to sell marine castrol instead of Advanced full synthetic oil that is needed. Who needs full synthetic when there is advanced full synthetic?
