GOD is wonderful.............and always on point............. |
long overdue...as if we needed a rocket scientist to tell us this would happen in my opinion, this is even good for the pdp.if they know what is good for them, they should go back to the drawing board by first cleansing their house.i feel tukur should be eased out;he has caused more pains than gains for them. as per apc,i have never seen them different from pdp.now, how d they suddenly become the righteous ones they are trying to make us believe witgh these guys in their fold now?infact,i see apc as a timebobm waiting to explode all in all,the battle line has been clearly drawn.how i wish all these schemings are the favour of the masses but nay,it is all cos of their selfish interests. the person i fear for most is buhari...all these guys he is rolling with are not of the same skin as him.he may lose his moral justification of calling anyone corrupt now cos he himself is now dining with them....i crooss my fingers and see how this chapter pans out but as for me...i am staying away from all polls in the country until i feel conviced my votes will count cos believe me u,GEJ will do anything to come back to power (anambra) on my mind) |
In fairness to GEJ and his team, his policies have good template that can achieve the transformation drive that is aimed at.but the problem is he seems to take a step forward and some more backwards again which in result makes him look like he is not doing anything.the main cause of this is his inability to step on toes(vis a vis corruption, insecurity etc) as part of the parameters towards a better nigeria and this is wholly because of his re-election bid.in as much as he has a right to recontest,he should have left us(Nigerians)to yearn more for him by giving us the deliverables(basically power and major infrastructural developments which wil thus spring employment by auto)rather he is getting involved in 2015 politicking which as now distracted him totally.I am not of any political party as I see them all as the same in different garments;my interest in politics is just because of the key role of a stable polity in the economic development of any nation. technocrats know this . |
The day he gets that "breakthrough pay cheque" be it from a biz deal or salary...trust me all other things(good wife, first baby etc hinge on this) It is when a man can think straight financially that these things follow(especially in our part of the world;naija) |
annoymous: Really nice write up. Don't make a habit of adding 'lol' to everything you deem funny though - it takes away from the overall appeal of the article. I still have books from over 12yrs ago (okeke, ababio et al)Thanks so much.someone should please tell as well.s great as the write up is,the "lol"comes too often and makes it boring.we will know when a line is funny. |
I actually feel this guy is trying is best.if only he could aggressively face the fight against corruption and focus on more infrastructural development(power and co)which will automatically spin job creation directly and indirectly,he wouldn't need any political scheming if he wants to contest in 2015.we are not blind in this country.give us what will make life a worthwhile for us and your political career will soar. |

Encore;WE NEED SOME MORE!!! |
Interesting topic here.I strongly believe there is more to it than what meets the eyes from the OP's brother's angle of the story.in as much as am not casting aspersions as per the guy's sincerity,I strongly think there is a hole in the op's brother's story.a phone call received by the supposed banker seems to be the only thing that's making OP believe his brother's story but hey!he could have as well given a friend the phone to form "banker".Am not claiming bankers are saints.they are corrupt but they don't do silly and easily traceable low profile deals as this with all the attendant risks(how much is 10k).OP follow up with customercare nos on their site to get to the root of this.I think your brother has a case to answer |
lacasa: Reuben Abati the slimey Snake.TOUCHE!!!it can't be more apt than this.I hate to admit I admire his ingenuity but then,it doesn't change the fact that he is a two-timing-double-standard-sonofabitch |
Bolushalom: I'm a Nigerian babe, and i dont think asking me for my account number or asking me to marry you or every other thing u guys mentiond is d most romantic statement a guy can tell me...so y'all wrong!!Iro nla...that's what they all say.am sure when u meet dangote and he says "come spend my momey with me".no matter how commanding the voice his,u will drool with the word"awwww, how sweet of u"lo l |
As if it isn't bad enough, some silly people have come up with words like jes(just),fink(think),buffday(birthday) etc.it isn't a smartphone thing, youth of these days are becoming so intellectually lazy.I can proudly say I belong to the few who have refused to be drawn into such unintelligent mode of communication |
Few posts induce a comment from me;this is one!the poster is absolutely spot on!the only point that may be arguable(not totally true)is the grade part of it.not cos I graduated with a 3rd class(and truly ve had a big job slip through my finger cos of it),but cos there are 1001 1st class guys out there without jobs.the basis of this is just that our society is fast collapsing!dreams seldom come true in nigeria.one just has to fit his dreams into the obtainable reality.my father was almost done with child bearing@30 and am sure most of our parents had totally been weaned of their parents at that age. See where lack of good governance has led us to.it is so sad and disheartening.I remain confident Nigeria is a great country blessed with all form of resources human inclusive.God has just denied us of good leaders...let's pray;God,pls give us good leaders Few posts induce a comment from me;this is one!the poster is absolutely spot on!the only point that may be arguable(not totally true)is the grade part of it.not cos I graduated with a 3rd class(and truly ve had a big job slip through my finger cos of it),but cos there are 1001 1st class guys out there without jobs.the basis of this is just that our society is fast collapsing!dreams seldom come true in nigeria.one just has to fit his dreams into the obtainable reality.my father was almost done with child bearing@30 and am sure most of our parents had totally been weaned of their parents at that age.See where lack of good governance has led us to.it is so sad and disheartening.I remain confident Nigeria is a great country blessed with all form of resources human inclusive.God has just denied us of good leaders...let's pray;God,pls give us good leaders |
Michu is the only swansea player to ve scored a last minute goal against arsenal!duh!even messi won't doesn't know of and won't agree to most of the so called records in your list!!! That's not saying he isn't immortal though but STOP forming records that are not reckoned with pls |
ujchief: Few years back, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 'of single and married' lost her precious life on the sosoliso plane crash.Without mincing words;YOU ARE SICK! Rev Martin Kuka just spotted it on!just very few of his ilk left |
HNosegbe: Death penalty for corruption... Nah, not the answer. Those northerners forgot to tell us that China is still a massively corrupt and unequal nation despite executing over 2,000 people last year. For the first time in a very long time,I ve found a well crafted and logical post on nairaland devoid of grammatical errors.not that I look out for people's mistakes, the level of wrong use of the english language is very rife.so much that one struggles to even thet the drift of the post.well written and said bruv! |

truth4meal: the more reason why u have to relocate to abia with ur obsolete brain - ur comparision is waywardU are a tarado.when dumbells like u find cheap internet source,u think u can just hide behind its anonymous nature and spit cowdongs...for u should be fed to the Gustave,I rest my case with you. |
IMO,I feel the archiles heel of A C N is tinubu.he has thrown his personality blanket over the party and because we are so exposed and learned in the SW we hate it.we can't stand one man dictating the polity for us.PDP isn't an option.only if fashola can call his bluff and cross over to LP.we all know he is sincere about good governance but "babasope" his tying his hands.a mimiko-fashola backed LP will win the hearts of SW voters.am very sure.but it won't happen cos fashola onviously doesn't ve the balls.he is not a typical poiltician(ask theodore orji on what he did to orji uzor kalu in abia) |
Am an ife alumnus but IMO,UNN is it. In this order; UNN Unilag OAU UI |
inasmuchas this is a serious issue,i cant but laugh at how (finally)a topic has affected the price of garri.for the past 3 weeks have followed with keen interest the garri issue and it is kind of interesting to see how it has culminated to this... ![]() |
On this,am going to be support of mr.president and his wife (for once).it is double standard to say we don't recognize the office of the first lady that's why people spit invectives at her whenever she appears in that capacity(yes, she goes overboard most times) yet everyone is interested in her present state of health because they believe it is of national concern.the state of health of the first lady has nothing to do with the polity so I think people should just let her be.her not being "on seat" does not slow down the running of the the nation and her presence won't speed it up either. |
Spoken english is more difficult than written English.pronunciation can make comprehension difficult... |
The rules are on point;they form the basis of such a relationship.but in addition to that,a distance relationship must be well grounded before the separation.and like someone said, there should the parties must have some cash to back it up cos it is financially demanding(phone calls and travelling).am in one for 2yrs now and so far so good.but what ve found out is a good percentage of people are in such.even married couples.this is attributed to the fact that a living must be eked out. |
My one wish would be "that all I wish come true" |
You see, this is what religion should be about;admonitions that teach how to live in the Godly way not hatred as being taught by the version of islam in some sects or just money, money, money as we have in these so called asalatus.islam is truly a religion of peace and a way of life.thanks for the words;I now have more tools to go through this hard world that we live in.and more reasons to be happy am a muslim. |
Jarus: Excellent article. Naked truth. Segun is gradually winning his way back into my heart.Just my thought.maybe I am convinced to go and finish up his book now... |
Come fly with me let's fly let's fly away... ![]() But seriously, this is too early in the day!it is just exactly 3 months after the mishap.but I trust they won't start flying immediately.you don't need a MBA to know that will be a poor biz model.a total restructuring(probably a change of name),aggressive marketing etc will be needed.it is a daunting task for the management of the airline and it is just a 50-50 chance if they will survive it or not cos the aviation biz is already going through a lot already.added to the peculiar situation of the coy,I don't envy their situation at all o! |
Truth is the truth will never be known.the 2 parties will have sweet tales to tell us.like someone said, what we want is stable power supply.let there be light!!! |
@poster: First of all am disappointed in the way you addressed your uncle/his family who your sister stayed with in UK. You only told us what your sister told you! We didn't hear from your uncle or his wife. I don't think they're that wicked to ask your sister to stay home and babysit on the days she have classes and babysitting in UK or US is no big deal for most family. Everybody work with eachother's schedule to know who will be with the Kids when others are gone! I babysit, my wife does, my mom does, and my wife's sister did too for about 10months when she was living with us. You don't expect this folks to help in paying your sister's school fees (with smile or tears on the face which ever) and still pay for daycare even on days your sister could be of assistance? Also, am disappointed in your sister for presenting this folks as bad people to you! And most of all for still depending on them after 3 whole years! She's lucky to have someone pay her tuition (2 semester a year) for 3yrs and have roof over her head eventhough she didn't appreciate it. Having said that, the school system here is not like naija where the lecturer decide or have control of your life and future. Like someone rightly said, the worst that should happen is take out some points from her grade. Even if she end up with a C in that class that won't stop her from graduating. As per appealing, she'll have to prove that the lecturer treated her differently and acted out of what she had in her handout which in this case you sister (Abi Na you lol) didn't follow instruction! All the same Goodluck to her!
I don't need to meet u bruv!ur words ve conveyed what I should know of u;U ARE A WISE MAN.thumbs up |
I am a product of a physics department(engineering physics) so I will talk from experience.physics on its own in our part of the world isn't more of a career prospect except u want to lecture.but it gives you a great leverage if u want to pursue a career in ICT.I can confidently tell u that a lot of physics graduates are into ICT and are highly considered alongside elec/elect and comp sci/eng grads for ICT recruitment.all u need do is graduate with a good grade and towards d end of ur 4yrs place ur hand on certifications like CCNA,MCSE etc.this will plunge u into the ICT world.statistics is a very good course but I tell u it is restrictive.physics will broaden ur options(medical physics, power, etc)incase u don't even want to do ICT.I am not advertising for the course cos truth is it is a naughty one.I didn't graduate with the best of grades but hey!I ve applied some of what I learnt in school(e.g fibre optics).so charlie;I would advise u choose physics |
