HealthRe: Ebola Cannot Be Contracted By Eating Bush Meat- Yewande Adeshina by specco(m): 3:24pm On Jul 30, 2014
PAGAN9JA: This is false and very risky. Kindly read the article carefully before commenting. Bushmeat still is dangerous.

Very irresponsible statement.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was this Hindu who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.
A man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the Hindu said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?"
There is a saying that goes “be the change you wish to see in the world." Sounds easy right? Not really. In a world where we are constantly bombarded by hardships and temptations and where the lack of checks and balances has made it easy to circumvent law and order, it’s easy to go off our path in life - to give up honesty and resort to bribery and corruption, to swap hard work for cutting corners; but is that what we want? Do you want the world to change you or do you want to change the world?
Don't give up loving.
Don't give up your goodness.
Don’t give up you.
Don't give up helping animals.
***Have a Wonderful day***
You didn't tell us what happened to the Hindu guy afterwards. Is he immuned from the poisonous stings of this deadly creature. Pls complete the story because some gullible fellows might want to do same to their own peril.

bestads: If Buhari had been killed , The North would have razed Nigeria down.

I believe if our hero and general had been killed in yesterday's bomblast the north would have razed the whole country down, because Buhari is more than all those people Boko Haram has killed or kidnapped....Period

That is why we want this as well https://www.nairaland.com/1826698/group-wants-southerners-barred-entering
That bomb blast may have been stage-managed to prove that the general has no links to the Boko haram insurgents. Image laundering I think . 2015 in mind.

If it's really love and not infatuation you have for that somebody then why do you plan to intentionally hurt her and make her life full of pains and heart ache by bringing unhealthy babies into her life.. The presence of a sickly child/children in the house(which you should have avoided anyway) is enough to prick your conscience and make both of you unhappy for a life time.

Mrs Oduah's sanitation exercise in the aviation industry hit the Yorubas badly. This is why they want her head dead or alive! Nigeria has to move on. We won't continue to allow a people who act as cankerworms to continue to go unchecked, especially in that vital sector (aviation). It is always difficult to wean a child but with determination and self will, the mother prevails to the benefit of all. Many of these rantings could also be emanating from hypocrites whose certificates are doubly questionable via 'expos' 'cheats' 'bullets' 'settlements' etc. When you point one finger remember that four are protestingly pointing back at you. You know yourselves.

Hello guys, GFT, my Fx broker of 5 years standing has just asked me to withdraw all my available cash balance with them as they have made a business decision to close some nationals, including Nigeria residents accounts with them. They did not give any reasons for this action and my previous transactions with them since 2008 had been smooth. Now I need a broker with integrity that accepts traders resident in Nigeria. Please help with names.

Car TalkRe: Beware Of Catalyst Stealing Mechanics, Welders And Car Dealers!!!! by specco(m): 7:14pm On Nov 21, 2013
specco: I am posting this with a heavy heart. I just came back from my mechanic where after inspection it was confirmed that the 'catalyst' in my exhaust pipe has been removed! Just acquired this toyota car some days back from a car dealer somewhere in Maryland area of Lagos and had been wondering at the rate at which it guzzles fuel, even much more than the old mercedes I used to have. Then off to the mechanic I went this afternoon only to be told the bitter truth(catalyst converter stolen) and to replace it will deplete my account by N18,000. This is very sad indeed.
Yea guys, I have finally replaced the stolen catalyst and my car is now rocking. I used half as much fuel to and fro work today in the same car that used to 'drink' fuel! The fuel economy is now performing excellently. I went to Ladipo with my mechanic and got it for N15,000 and paid N4,500 for labour. There should have been no need for all these stress if people were honest and less crooked in their deeds. Nevertheless, I am happy.
But pls car gurus, the check light on my dashboard is still on. Do you think there's any more problem and what can make this light to go off?
Car TalkRe: Beware Of Catalyst Stealing Mechanics, Welders And Car Dealers!!!! by specco(m): 9:48pm On Nov 19, 2013
Eyop: So sorry about that Specco. Did you notice any sign of this immediately you purchased the car? Because if you did, then it must have been removed before you bought the car.
I have just used the car for the sixth day(today). I noticed a 'check' sign on the dashboard after the third day of driving the car but the fuel awareness came when my friends, having knowledge of my former car, started telling me how much I would be saving now ie fuel-wise now that I have moved over to a Japanese car. It was then that it occurred to me that I was not saving anything as they emphatically believed. Then the search for an explanation led me to the mechanic this afternoon and behold the bad news.

PoliticsRe: Uke Stampede (survivors Account) by specco(m): 11:08pm On Nov 04, 2013
[quote author=slimghost]A survivor, Comrade Aloysius Attah, Chairman of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO) in Anambra State, who was at the vigil with his wife, recounted the stampede.
He said: “I was there and my heart is bleeding with all these stories making the rounds about the ugly incident. At a time everybody should be mourning, you can see they are politicising it. Why would it be so? I was there and if I wasn’t there, it would have been a different thing. I would have been deceived by all the stories I am reading and or hearing from some political quarters.
“What actually happened was that the Spiritual Director of the centre, Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, asked for the final prayer.
We raised our hands and prayed and at the end of the prayer, everybody started going home.
“I was with my wife. As we were going, we suddenly saw people rushing back and, judging the crowd that was unprecedented in the arena, I sensed that there would be a stampede and because we didn’t know what actually caused the rush back, I positioned myself to escape the possible ripple effect and rushed away from the traffic. I went the adjacent way.
“But, immediately in a spontaneous move, my wife was already under the surging crowd, but I mustered my last strength to shield her and I dragged her to my corner to save her from being trampled upon. It would have been a different story by now. At the end of the stampede, many were revived and those who were at the scene where it started revealed that somebody shouted, fire! fire! because of a spark from the frying pan of a woman at the road side frying plantain. People started rushing back, thinking it was a fire.
Attah said people should be concerned about the families of those who died and stop overheating the polity because of selfish concerns. He said the situation worsened because of the number of motorbikes on the road at the same time as some fell over motorbikes.
Another survivor, Ikwunne Nriezeadi, said he volunteered to assist in the revival of victims and to ferry others to the hospitals for medical attention. He said he heard people saying that it was politically- motivated.
“Whatever they are saying, I don’t want to take up issues with politicians who are mentioning peoples’ names.
“It was on the way back home that people started rushing back and started trampling on others. I personally heard people shouting ‘go back!’, ‘go back!’ and that caused panic and tension. So, we started assisting them to the hospitals and at the hospital they carried the dead into the mortuary.“
Another witness, Kenechukwu (surname withheld) insisted that the woman frying plantain was the secondary cause of the incident. He wondered why people should be shouting fire when such a huge crowd was surging.

From what I heard it was Peter obi and his clueless stooge, mr Obiano that came to the crusade ground to campaign for votes but when the congregation started chanting Ngige, Ngige, Onwa, Onwa, all hell was let loose as Peter obi's soldiers started firing shots to scare the worshippers and there was a stampede. Some people were thoroughly manhandled and beaten while the dead were trampled upon. That's the true account of what happened.

Jakumo: As the old saying goes, any fool can pee against the wall, but it takes a frigging genius to pinch a loaf onto the ceiling.

Be that as it may, can we now safely conclude that many residents of the Lagos metropolis who occupy the most affluent addresses are in fact habitual consumers of sewage effluent?

If the cream of Lagos society are in fact enjoying a diet that includes their own solid and liquid waste, yet manage to appear so vibrant and healthy all the time, perhaps eating chit isn't such an unhealty habit after all. Matter of fact, some of my best friends have probably been eating chit for a long time, and haven't ever complained to my hearing so far, so hey, maybe I ought to try some one day.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
One of those ass lickers who would gladly enjoy the stench of a 'big' man's mess and interpret same as a nice perfume.

Oga Jona is no fool. You can continue to shout yourselves hoarse. He knows a performing minister if he sees one. All your hissing and puffing wont change a thing. The woman has done a lot for the aviation sector under her watch. Maybe most of these haters don't even know the location of any airport around them to judge the 'before' and 'after? Just take a trip to the nearest airport to you and see things for yourself. Ethnicity aside. How can two freaking cars rubbish all that. P.h.d clowns at work.
