tomijnr: Am sorry it will affect ur application which can lead to a refusal, cuz the address does not correspond with your new address on your tier four application. When I did mine I used my old passport number and when I want to put in for my visa my passport was almost expiring so I had to do a new one. So I went to citi bank to pay four thousand for change of information. Then went to IOM and requested for change of information. I was asked to wait and get the new certificate and I got it almost immediately. You won't have to do a new test. All they need do is to get the new address and fix it and they re issue another tb test. An advice from someone who has done it before
The bold is a lie and you went through a needless procedure.
You're advising someone on something you've not passed through and you're giving the advice in all certainty.
You could have just told them about the issue and sent in the expiring passport with your application.

@myfuture;
In the space where you have a chance to give more info on the application form, tell them about the address issue. simple

I was in an exact situation as you are and when i submitted my second application, that was exactly what i did. And my certificate was even going to expire in 2 weeks time. My Visa took a month plus and it was still successful.

When you say " got transfered back" do you mean deported?
What do you mean by "visa has not been approved"?

Does he have the required £200,000-00 for this visa?
(5.5 million naira!

royal34: Hey guys, please i need your input. i booked my tb test for 8th and my visa appointment for 10th. The issue is that my 28th day falls on d 8th and since i stay outside lagos, i intend going to lagos on the 7th. my dad is suggesting that the bank sends me the bank statement via email and then ild print it out. is that going to be accepted?
Also he wants me to use two bank statements. one has the 5million + , untouched (ie no transaction has been carried out in d acc since i put in d money). The oda one he says is to show them how his money is coming in and going out though there is little or no money in it. is the second acc statement really neccessary?
Lastly, how much does the tb test cost and what is the mode of payment?
You should print the statement from the bank location because you need it to be stamped and signed.
The first bank statement is enough.
Someone submitted 2 and was denied...so weird right?

TB test is around 29k.
Mode of payment is either online/offline transfer or bank deposit. You must bring a teller/receipt while coming

jayseis: Hi everyone, Cc spikesC, Justwise

I have just received email that my visa has been approved and issued (Applied on August 14th and received email on August 25th).

Please, i want to know if someone else can pick up my document for me at the visa center. I applied in Ikeja, but not in Lagos at the moment.
Yes, you can.
You just have to give the person the photocopy of your passport data page, the collection document and a signed letter

Though a coursemate who just returned from Naija on Wednesday was telling me today that pounds has spiked afresh undecided undecided
I disbelieved him cos he spit 292/3 naira black market rate at me seeing my GTB transaction of about 2 weeks back was 278.8
Anyone here to to confirm the current pounds to naira rate please?
Naaah, POS can be used for anything. It's just another form of money exchange.

Black market rate is going up while official rate is going down rapidly.
This is because there is a huge scarcity of foreign hard currencies in Nigeria.

The new economic policies is evidently working, if only they can keep up with it.

Ganiyat95: If i print from the date you said, there would be no reasonable transaction showed. i paid 2,026,800 on 24/06/2014, 72,000 on 26/06/2014, 1,000 and 1,500 was paid on 27/08/2014. should i still use the one i printed out? i'm really eager to know the right thing, cos i have been refused once. Thanks
They're not looking at transactions.
Your statement will read previous balance and closing balance and that is all they need
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by spikesC(m): 6:42pm On Aug 30, 2014
Otuabaroku: @spikesC, not really . I said my friend wants to transfer equivalent of £2k to my UK's account. However the charges for the transfer is too much. So I am looking for someone who wants to send £2k to Nigeria.

In this case the person transfers the money to my account in UK and my friend transfers its equivalent to his or beneficiary's account in Nigeria.

The person does not have to pay for transfer charge and I do not have to pay transfer charges. And the exchange rate is based on official exchange rate.

A win win situation. I reckon.
Oh, ok.
That's not what i want then cool

ochukoccna: Cool
And GTBank will even pay you for this? huh huh
bitchy right grin

Emmagency: Just to confirm, debit card linked to a Nigerian Account....?
Yes cool

peteafrik88: What you mean is I walk into Barclays with my GTBank debit card, tell them I will like to deposit some funds into my Barclays acc through POS. Then use the POS as usual and the funds grt into my Barclays without charges from any of the parties involved. And above all I can receive cashback from GTB.

Please, kindly confirm my understanding of this fund transfer process?
Thank you.
yes cool
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by spikesC(m): 4:20pm On Aug 30, 2014
Otuabaroku: Thanks guys for responding on time. This is how I think it should be done.

You want to send £2k to Nigeria. And the official exchange rate is #280 per £1(for instant). I transfer (#560,000) to your account in Nigeria and you transfer £2000 to my account in UK. No transfer charges from both of us. And everybody is happy.

That's what I am looking for.
You initially said you have pounds to sell not the other way around.
That is, you pay me pounds in my account, i pay you Naira in your account.

If that's so, kindly send me an email. Thank you
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by spikesC(m): 4:17pm On Aug 30, 2014
ochukoccna: Explain better please
I normally withdrew about 790 quid from RBS [that's the max any ATM allows here], deposit in my account here for spending till it runs low and I do it all over again
Instead of withdrawing from ATM and depositing into your account, you just walk straight into the bank and ask to make a deposit into your account via POS/debit card.

Ganiyat95: Thank you for the response. Is the bank statement(dated from 20/06/2014 to 29/08/2014) also right? and what other documents do i need? urgent reply please
It's too much, they might ask you to reprint and send to them a specific period, which will now delay your application.
Print from 30/07/2014 to 29/08/2014

Otuabaroku: Hi guys, I am looking for someone who wants to send money to Nigeria from UK.

I recently sent a friend £2k to help him solve an urgent problem. The charge for the transaction was almost #37,700. Now he wants to send the money back and it is causing #38,700.

For me I think it is too much for the short period involved(2 wks)

I am looking for someone who wants to send the equivalent to Nigeria. I would ask my friend to pay into his account in Nigeria and he transfers the other to my account.
What's your offer?

you can contact me via PM

Bambamzzzz: Hello house please is it possible to transfer money from first naira savings account to uk account? because i want to the balance of my school fees before i leave pls someone should respond
Why don't you just pay with your Naira mastercard.
The charges will be huge with that way you want
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by spikesC(m): 2:12pm On Aug 30, 2014
ochukoccna: Thanks for the info you are passing across regarding the rate of naira to pounds
Hope those cards are not linked to a current account like my GTB mastercard
Without informing you, GTB migrates your Mastercard account from your savings account to a current account(once you open one) just like that undecided
Imagine after charging me 400 for withdrawing , I get hit with about 1400Naira COT charges shocked shocked
Crazy innit!
Bladwy banksters! angry angry
Nope, they're not.

One thing you can try is to deposit money into your UK bank account via POS grin
The charges should be low and you even get cashback from GTB wink

WebmastersRe: Which Ecommerce Php Framework To Use by spikesC(m): 1:14am On Aug 30, 2014
DualCore1: From the little I know about Opencart, it isn't a framework, it is a script.

OP, I have used CodeIgniter and Laravel for some projects. I will recommend CodeIgniter for anyone who wants to try a framework which is both strong and has a moderate learning curve. In the process of trying out frameworks, I saw I had no real use for them (solo coder) and was better of with my custom framework which keeps getting richer and more compact with each passing project.
Aaah, thought i was the only one.

But it sure helps to learn standards, MVC and a few advanced features.
Though i prefer ready the source code, then implement in my own way
