Like a scene in a movie, Femi Branch’s ex-wife Ibitola has opened up on how her marriage to the actor crashed. She said apart from being beaten, her story of financial deprivation spiked with humongous lies by her actor husband of ten years whom she accused of living a reckless life, sounds unconceivable.

Speaking in an interview with Encomium magazine, she said:” I came back from work that day, and he went out as well. I waited till 11 pm and I didn’t see him. Fun lovers gathered last Sunday for the 9th edition of Steve Onu Yaw’s annual stage performance tagged: Apere (Basket) starring the musician, Sound Sultan .The duo of Yaw and Sound Sultan stunned many of their fans when they saw the theatrical talents of these entertainers.



Held at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre. Victoria Island Lagos, the event was not just about drama but also an evening of music and comedy. Entertainers like Funny Bone, Arole, Asiri, Kennyblaq, Emmaohmygod, Tiwa Savage, Solid Star, CDQ, Tjan, Skales and others electrified the audience with their performances. •

The play, Apere chronicles the murky side of being a Nigerian. Allusions were made to contemporary Nigerian issues. It was a fusion of satire and comedy which didn’t just get the audience laughing but also thoughtful.

One indelible part of the show was when 2face and 9ice mounted the stage to perform the hit song Street credibility. The crowd cheered and screamed as the duo of 9ice and 2face took turns to deliver the vocals of the song. After their performance 2face appreciated 9ice for featuring him on the song . Recall that the showbiz promoter, who at the height of a marital crisis with Savage in April 2016 tried to take his own life by jumping into the lagoon around the Lekki area of Lagos . The experience made him see life from a new point of view and now he is an entertainment life coach.

Speaking in an interview with Linda Ikeji TV, Teebillz opens up about his battle with depression. According to him:” From my experience, it got to a point I didn’t want to be around people. I just wanted to be alone. I was so messed up in the head that I wasn’t myself. So not being myself, I didn’t want to be around no one and would be by myself a lot of times or I’m just trying to use things to get away in my own head. Alcohol can be one of those things that people run to, which was my best friend at one point in life. It was the only ‘person’ I trusted to get me going. It’s a difficult thing I must admit”.

Speaking further TeeBillz said his depressive state made him lose his mind and he wasn’t himself. Hear him: “The Tunji of then was somebody that lost his mind. Sometimes when I reflect back to activities or things that happened back then, It’s hard for me to believe that that was me. The people that actually really know me knew then that something was wrong with this guy, but they could not figure it out. They were not informed or educated about mental health. They could not place it. I was able to pretend to do normal stuffs and pretend that everything is ok with me around normal people. Me not being able to keep it real with myself that something was wrong was the reason why I didn’t want to be with people. So I can just be locked up in my own world.

Details have emerged on how late actress, Moji Olaiya died. The looks on the faces of those who visited her Magodo Lagos residence depicts sadness and distress.

Speaking with TheNetng, her elder brother Otunba Olaiya said Moji’s death was most unexpected. In his words: “When I spoke to her a few days ago, she did not give signs of death. She never complained about anything. This is really heartbreaking’, he said.

In the same vein, a certain Mrs Keji who said she worked as her housekeeper said in the last three days before she passed away; the actress had placed several calls from her base in Canada to complain of ‘being uncomfortable’.

According to her: “Her baby was born premature- her EDD was for May 2017 but complications arose that necessitated that she be induced to save the baby’s life as well as hers. But since the delivery in March, her health had not been exactly perfect”.

She further revealed that around 10pm local time (3am Nigerian time) she went into a crisis. ‘Her blood pressure shot up and she got unconscious. An ambulance was called to transport her to the hospital. But her case worsened and she gave up the ghost before she could make it to the hospital. Moji could not say goodbye to us, she didn’t let us hold her baby, where will her mother start from? Her death came too early, I believe this was not ordinary. Her infant daughter is said to be in care of her friend whom she was staying with in Canada. However no one knows what will happen to the baby as Olaiya’s relationship with the father of the child, simply called ‘Mr Femi’ is obscure as there are speculations that he is still married to someone else.

Outspoken Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu has opened up about her love life. The talented role interpreter in an interview with Ebuka Uchendu on Rubbin Minds TV show said she hasn’t been lucky when it comes to the matters of love.

Recall that Aimakhu had been married to Adeniyi Johnson. They were together for about two years before they separated. She found love in Seun Egbegbe but their story didn’t last for too long. And thankfully for her, they didn’t make it to the altar before they parted ways. Seun Egbegbe does not owe himself his freedom after he was accused of several acts of theft.

When asked about her love life, she said:”For now it’s just my career, I think I am not lucky when it comes to love. I am lucky when it comes to my job so I just go with the lucky one.I am the kind of woman that wants to cook for her man and all that. Now the focus is on my work.I am married to my work and engaged to my career.

According to him:”Reminiscing on this picture,takes me way back to a journey, that saw me living with my mother in one room.The curtains that was behind me,was a piece of cloth that my grand mum gave to us to cover the entrance of our door.it was so bad then, all that kept me going was the creative gift of innovating things like Solar fan, radio transmitter, fly Helicopter, Hover craft ship .this gave me a smile each time I got compliments.

I started entertainment as a choreographer. Before I started modeling



What were the challenges you encountered starting out?

Well, being a plus size model was an issue for most clients and agencies. Everyone wanted me to lose weight so I could fit it

So how were you able to convince them?

I didn’t, I decided not to lose weight but to accept my size and become a plus-size model

How were you able to overcome the body shaming that comes with being plus- size?

I told myself that what people would want to get surgically, I have in abundance so the shaming is just to make themselves feel good

When you look into the mirror, what do you see?

I see a bold and confident young lady that is making a difference in her own small way.

How old were you when you got your first modeling job?

I was 20 years old then

Do you think men are drawn to plus size women?

Men are drawn to plus size women because they are endowed.


How does it make you feel?

This makes me thankful to God for creating me this way.

How about when men just see you as a sex object. How does it make you feel?

It makes me terrible.I don’t like being seen as a sex object.

Have you ever had to confront anyone of them?

I make them see that there is more to my personality than that.

What is the best part of being a plus size model?

The best part is that I am able to explore myself and I have no limits. The bitter part is the absence of proper recognition
