Workch:Fool, what is that? ![]() |
Workch:Says a fool. ![]() |
Workch:Says a fool. ![]() |
Workch:Put your foolishness in checked, and keep it very far away from here. ![]() |
Workch:A debate, with a fool? It never happened. See, you're already showing signs of foolery. ![]() |
Hemanwel:I am serious. The Bible means what it says and says what it means. It is no joke. I know it sounds strange to your ears hearing that the Bible does not teach that the reward of the saved is to go to heaven. But that is the truth, proven straight from scriptures. The reward of the saved is actually something much more greater and exciting than the boring tales of going to heaven. What exactly are you going to do in heaven? Any idea? ![]() |
To start with, going to heaven is not the reward of the saved. This nullifies the argument already. If the argument was that the 7 things can't saved one, then it's a valid argument. But of course, the writer must explain how those things can't save and what actually saves. That means you must post the contents of the handbill. That is when it can be proven whether it is true or not. |
Obakashdee:There's nothing like an unwanted pregnancy. When you have an unprotected sex with your wife or husband, except necessary healthy steps are taken, you are calling for pregnancy and birth of a child. So how is it unwanted? I see it as a height of irresponsibility. The least one can do is to own up to it and learn, not to aggravate it. If you're not ready for a child, you don't want it, then for goodness sake, take the necessary precaution. Abortion is not only the killing of an innocent unborn child, it can also kill the mother. It is wickedness and sin. |
Workch:You can do your debate with fellow fools. ![]() |
Workch:The Bible you claimed to know because you read it, calls you a fool. In order to be taken serious, prove from that same Bible that you're not a fool. That's the only way you and I can have a conversation concerning the Bible. So Mr. Atheist, put your emotions in checked and conduct your teaching accordingly. You said you're here to teach me my Bible. Accepted. How can you teach me the Bible when the same calls you a fool? Can a mad man teach a sane person anything other than madness? Think about it. ![]() |
Quite disheartening seeing this kind of oppression in this age and time. |
jmoore:Still, no proof that tithing was abolished. Only emotions and stupid claims. Since you have nothing reasonable to discuss with me, stop the mentioned. |
Workch:The same Bible that calls you a fool, you mean you can teach me about it? Okay, start by teaching me why you're a fool. ![]() |
obonujoker:Fact (Malachi 3:8 ). Only misguided people believes tithing has been done away at Christ crucifixion. The tithe law did not even start with the Levitical Priesthood nor ended with it. Levite, who was statutory required to receive tithes also paid tithe himself. Simply meaning that tithes don't belong to the Levites or anybody. They are only custodians. Those stealing from God should do so between themselves and God. Making it obvious that they are thieves and robbers is quite embarrassing. The least they can do is to prove that they're not stealing, i.e, tithing has been abolished. |
jmoore:I have proven from scripture the validity of tithing. Where's your own proof that it expired at any point in time? Like I said earlier, I don't have time for unreasonable and useless argument. Look elsewhere. |
jmoore:Young man, if you wouldn't be reasonable while mentioning me, you may as well go elsewhere Before you quoted me, you were shown where Jesus clearly upholds the tithing law. Now, if you're saying that law was valid as long as Jesus was on earth, the onus is on you to prove that yes, that law did expired at Jesus crucifixion. Be guided properly. |
jmoore:Before Levite was even born, he was paying tithe in the loins of his father (Hebrews 7:9-10). To whom did Abraham paid tithe to? |
jmoore:Not so fast. On the contrary, can you quote one verse where they did not or taught that tithe must not be paid, after the Lord has ruled on the matter? You mean tithing expired at Christ crucifixion? Prove it. |
Then you're not a Christian, as Christians are judged by the Law, the Ten Commandments (James 2:12). It's obvious you've become your own judge, not wanting to be judged by the Law nor He who authored the Law, which is why you've killed it. But of course, the Law lives forever because it is spiritual (Romans 7:14). By the way, are you a buddhist? ![]() |
CHIMAOBICCU:By "capital", your pastor is saying that not paying tithe is the severest offense or at least one of them, deserving a death penalty. CHIMAOBICCU:It is not a capital offense. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death (1 John 5:17). Let's see the weight that tithe carries among God's laws: Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone (Matthew 23:23)Here, Jesus is saying that there are weightier matters of the law, and certainly, tithe is not one of them. However, tithing on the other hand is not something to left "undone", i.e, tithe must still be paid. Do you know that your pastor sits perfectly in the Pharisees seat? See, just like the Pharisees did thousands of years ago, your pastor has neglected the weightier matters of the law to focus on the lesser. That is why, to him, not paying tithe is a capital mistake. Chima, always endeavor to ask or seek for proof (1 Thessalonians 5:21), and to be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11) whenever you hear anything from your pastor. He could be telling you lots and lots of lies to further his ulterior motives. |

Percy0006:This shouldn't be a problem. Since your wife prefers swallows and you like eating rice, then you guys should simply find a balanced. Your wife shouldn't find it difficult to make sure that whilst she cooks her own delight, her husband on the other hand isn't starving. I mean she knows you don't like eating swallows anyway. So it's only normal that she cooks two separate food to cater for both appetites. However, if for whatever reason your wife is not able to cook your own food, I strongly suggest you do your own cooking. Of course, I know work and stuffs may not give you the chance. But then, so could be your wife. So what? Understanding and outgoing concern is required from both of you. Rice is one of the simplest food to cook. Is it jollof, fried rice, coconut rice, rice & stew, native rice? I don't sweat cooking any of them or any kind of food. I know it could be that you don't know how to cook, sorry. But one can always learn. In fact, I think every adult, whether man or woman, should know how to cook his/her meals. My chief, work on it eh. Don't let it stress you nor your wife. ![]() |

OneMarvee:Very important questions, Marvee. In fact, the reason why many people claimed that God don't answer their prayers, and those who go as far as saying He doesn't exist, is simply because they do not know God's plan or mind for them. In other words, if at all they prayed and it was not answered, it simply means they prayed amiss (James 4:3), i.e, what they're asking for is not according to God's plan or timing. Of course, whilst God answers some prayers speedily or instantly, there are those He requires patience and persistency from us (Luke 18:1-8 ). So yes, majority don't know the mind of God nor His plans, and are not willing to learn either, so hence, they don't pray accordingly. And when they pray amiss and get no answer or lacking in patience and persistency, frustration will certainly set in. It's only when our desires, wants and aspirations aligns with that of God that we can enjoy His blessings. |
