“Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1). The above Bible verse sets the tone for our discussion. What does it really mean—Christians should not judge at all? Is there a misinterpretation somewhere? Well, lets examine the scriptures for answers. John 7:24 has this to say: “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment”. Here, we see that a Christian is not barred from judging at all but admonished to refrain from wrong judgement—judging according to human perception. But then, our opening verse seems to say otherwise—not to judge at all. Is this true? Could the Bible be contradictory as some claims? Lets find out—lets see if the scriptures is in harmony. Matthew 7 again. This time, lets read from verse 2: “For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye” (verse 2-5). Now this later verses is really revealing, isn't it? Can we then say that “Do not judge” is a case of quoting scripture out of context? Understand that the Bible never stops Christians from judging fellow believers, but stops them from being hypocritical—judging others when you yourself is also guilty of the same thing! Yes, you lack the moral right to judge anyone when you're not better than the judged! First of all remove the log in your eyes before attempting to remove (judge) the speck in your brother's eyes. This is the message—true meaning of Matthew 7:1! So then, we've seen that a Christian can judge, albeit, rightly. And judging rightly simply means judging according to scriptures. Now, if you judge rightly, it is not really you judging but God Himself, since you're judging according to His words! Here is what Paul has to say: “So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty” (James 2:12). Interestingly enough, to further prove that it is the word that judges one (now) and not God conducting new judgement in the future, here is what the master Himself said: “He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day” (John 12:48). Yes! Little wonder then why the scripture says: “For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God...” (1 Peter 4:17). Indeed, judgement is already in the Church! So, a Christian can judge and be judged! Cc lalasticlala mynd44 |

There's really little anyone can do to change your negative vibes, not even a psychologist can work magic. Here's the thing. Staying positive or negative is simply a matter of conscious effort. Now, having realised the harmful effect of negative energies and wished to get rid of them, you & you alone has the key- decide for yourself. "He that hath no rule over his spirit is like a city broken down without walls". Take charge of your life now! |
Craziest Okay, nothing can be more craziest than fucking all four (4) sisters in a family. When it was discovered, them girls nearly tore me to pieces if not that I escaped by a whisker and flee the city. |
Please & please, someone should tell Dele to spare us his lamentation. Apparently, his weeping and wailing is fuel by frustrations, having lost out on the national cake sharing from a disaster of a government he helped to foist on us. Dele I say, happy recession! |
