makydebbie:But... you've already given him enough time! You shouldn't have responded at all. Just... let it go now. |
Lionessza:Relax. All I want you to do is to go figure out what is called "peer pressure/social pressure". It was even taught as early as in Primary school. Dismissing this influence is not really a wise thing, as even the author of such places you called "godliest" wouldn't have said, "Do not be deceived: bad company ruins good morals" (1 Corinth 15:33). The point here is that, there's such a thing as "peer pressure". All in all, I know we are solely responsible for our actions. But at the same time, there are contributive forces/influences that are partly responsible. |
Lionessza:And this is at its best, your opinion. Or is there any known fact? You've been using the Church as an example. Lets look at it: What makes the Church in itself is not the physical building nor a so-called altar that wears a "form of godliness". In fact, some known churches are nothing but dens of adulterers/fornicators. Now, in such an environment where members of a Church and even pastors are into unrestrained sexual corruption, don't you think 1-3 people out of 10 may be influenced by the prevailing practices there? |
Lionessza:How do you know that women cheat because they want to- of their own volition, and not because of external forces like their surrounding? |
It is simply what you've rightly called it, "a saying". Though quite a good one, but it is more of an assumption than fact. |
Benita27:It's one thing for one to know what he/she wants, and also another thing (the most important) to know how to get it. Having or lacking these two vital knowledge determines either your successes or failures in life. Fortunately, you know these things. You're simply unstoppable! Now Go! Go!! Go!!! |
In as much as there are some sense in this message, therein lies a lot of nonsense too. Lets look at this analogy: Mr. A was a poor & miserable man, look upon by the world as the filth of the earth. Frustrated and dejected, Mr. A decided to go into crime from where he makes enough money to draw following and praises from the same people who hitherto loathed him. As usual, the time comes for him to pay for his crimes and he paid dearly. Now, who do we blame- 1. Mr. A 2. The people who ridiculed and hated him at first, and later sing & worshiped him? Understand. We are hard pressed on every side, shall we then justify our wrong doings as a result of these problems? No! We are solely responsible for all of our actions. This is because when it turns sour, the repercussion FALLS ON YOU alone! So, slay queens are on their own. |
dojnr4real:If there was no second chance, there wouldn't have been SALVATION anywhere. Is she pleading for a second chance? Then give it to her- her just due. What!?? If you were in her shoes, wouldn't you seek for such? Now judge for yourself. |
This question is akin to asking, "Why Do People Commit Sin"? Cheating is simply part of man's imperfect nature & characters. You know what? It's really an unwise thing for one to expect 100% loyalty from his/her partner, especially from this bf/gf stuff. C'mon, no matter who you are, it's not feasible. So, room must always be provided in anticipation for sh!ts! |
APCsupporter:Hating them is pointless. Till today, I still don't get a grasp of what feminism is, practically speaking. Each time I hear the subject and its professors, all I see are bunch of misguided elements & jokers. In fact, feminism at its best is an invention by opportunists and for opportunists, and their victims or target are the uncultured. Feminism ko... Femi ni. |
lefulefu:Kikiki... Iron pant kwa? Mbok, I cannot coman break my blokos o. |
lefulefu:Oh no! Lefu what becomes of our yansh... how do we protect it from evil? |
lefulefu:Ahem! You mean Op is into gabrielism? |
GEJDHERO:What are you saying!? You mean accepting the pregnancy should be by choice, I mean, your own responsibility ![]() C'mon! She didn't impregnate herself, you did! The only option left here is that of "consenting adults", i.e, whatever must be done about the pregnancy, must be agreed by both of you! |

Sir Blue, good to hear from you again. As for the topic, you have no need that I should write you a new commandment other than what you've learnt was from the beginning. Yes. You've provided the answers straight from the pages of the Bible, rightly divided and clear enough for the discerning mind. So, I agree with you not for any other thing but because the Scriptures agrees with you as well. Good understanding, sir. |
Okay. First, we need to deliver you from konjism and the spirit of blackmail. Meanwhile, tell Susan to come meet me, that I may counsel and reconcile the issue. |
Umahi is such a visionless guy. Too lazy to think of ways of generating revenue for Ebonyi except to feed fat on allocation. SMH |
Benita27:Yep. |
Benita27:You don't mean it? And I was really making plans of making you my help in this recession. Mbok, no near me o. |
Benita27:Benita just go ahead and apply as his accountant. |
vicben27:But I never said that you're to fast, did I? I told you to pray the prayers for seven days. See them as your prayer points for the seven days period. |
vicben27:How can you joke over your "dear" brother's life? You for tell me sey na joke since na. Meanwhile, you don't have to fast, but still good if you want. |
vicben27:You can help him, though I don't know how much faith you have in God. Here's a sure bet: Dedicate the following Psalms to him- 51, 95, 100, 103, 105, 91 & 18. Follow the Psalms as seen here. Say the words of these prayers audibly, preferably for seven days (seven is the number of completion) and at your convenience. Here's the goodnews: As you're setting your brother free from his troubles, you're also freeing yourself from whatever that is plaguing you presently. I await your testimony! |
frubben:Surprised? Don't be. There's nothing some people wouldn't justify. |
Oyindidi:Don't worry, I wouldn't. |
Oyindidi:Say it and shame the devil. |
Oyindidi:Okay. But what is your take on it? |
See them. The person who made that first comment up there is a murderer. |

Relationships thrives on consent & blessings. Where either of them is lacking, wisdom is profitable at this juncture. Good luck. |
