okay im going back to the topic now.

truthfully nigeria is a third world country with its flaws. but when im in nigeria i relax and go with the flow. i know NEPA is going to strike, i know the roads are bad, i know the police doesnt respond as fast and everywhere you see dirt on the streets. i know politicians are looting the national treasuryi. know all that.but we still have a life and we enjoy it to the fullest.
i don't always look over my shoulder when walking the streets at night (like i do here expecting a perv to drag me into the bushes), i don't worry about a psycho breaking into my home, i don't worry about drug dealers in the neighbourhood. i get to enjoy the culture and pleasant people. anyone who asks me about nigeria always gets the same response : YOU SHOULD GO!  

ive been privileged to experience both sides of the fence and i know despite all the crap going on in naija, its still the best place to live.

I am not disagreeing with the president/political science point spoilt made. Not at all. It's the fact that she called Red_Lips 'not exposed' and her post "ignorant" that I am objecting.

But it seems spoilt's demeanor towards Red_Lips is actually beyond the bounds of this thread, I think there is some history here too. So, I am leaving this one alone

 i feel you jare. it seems the older guys just leave after a couple of bannings since they actually have a life and other things to do. it alarms me to find out that 14 year olds and 15 year olds have access. they froth at the mouth and cuss and swear. its to bad taste. kills the fun for me.

ive gotten banned a couple of times and i think they were all unfairly. i believe a forum should allow you speak your mind without fear of banning.and in thrashing out issues people tend to lock horns and get very heated(nothing wrong in that), its part of the fun. it shouldnt incur you a ban.  besides we cant all agree with seuns point of view all the time.  ( that would be absurd). the thing is when the people who make it interesting are all sent away  it'll become another hangout for fourteen year olds (God they kill me their naive posts!).

Not saying it happens to everyone but it happens and I'm not going to be an idiot and deny that all in the name of trying to make us look good. I love Nigeria and unless I tell a person they never really know that i've spent 16 years in The States and only 7 in Nigeria but Nigeria will always be the country I mention but like i said, i don't ignore the problems.

I aint going to lie, yes there is kidnapping. And don't worry girl, i hate insects aswell. But, theres kidnapping everywhere. and you get used to the insects. You going there is probably going to change your life, your outlook on things will be soo different, and ull definately enjoy it. I never went to school in naija, but i love going back home.

when a family is poor, i think the woman and children feel it the most. during visits from poor relatives my dad often gives the woman woman secretly just so she and children can survive. its really terrible. it's good for women to learn a trade. inasmuch as you love the man, u should be able to fend for yourself and your kids when the chips are down!

lack of money is honestly one reason for marital unhappiness. ive seen relatives living in excrutiating poverty. they fight all the time about money and some marriages have ended when the women couldnt take it any more. its like a bad joke.
