she wasnt proud of it. she just meant that everyone knew she put in long hours. do you know if she was the breadwinner? someone has got to bring the bacon home! why is it an offence only when its the woman putting it long hours. if its the guy, he's only trying to fend for his family! angry

RomanceRe: An Eye Opener: Married Women---Beware! by spoilt(f): 2:08am On May 06, 2007
if the poor woman had believed her mother inlaw and sent the teacher away, the mama in law fit use that one against her in the future.  she would have selective amnesia and forget that she was the instigator .

See how red_lips is abusing me instead of developing some argument. There is a time for everything. If at such a tender age the woman does not have time for the kids (forget about her husband) then she have no one to blame but herself. As I said earlier it is not by force to marry or and make babies if you are irresponsible.
her husband was ok with her work hours. they had talked about it. lets not be judgemental. sometimes one party has to put in long hours and the idea is that the other should be taking care of the kids.

if it was the guy working late, would it have been ok if she got pregnant for a male teacher?
RomanceRe: An Eye Opener: Married Women---Beware! by spoilt(f): 1:55am On May 06, 2007
honestly my parents taught us themselves when we were young. i still remember queen premier, understanding mathematics and all the books like robinson crusoe and tom sawyer i had to read.
thats when the bond between parents and child is formed . i love my job but if it gets in the way of my kids, that job has got to go.

she didnt hire a female because she thought a male teacher would molest her daughter. her daughter's teacher introduced the female teacher to her.

RomanceRe: An Eye Opener: Married Women---Beware! by spoilt(f): 1:27am On May 06, 2007
na wa oh! there's risk everywhere. i personally would feel very nervous to hire a male tutor for my underaged daughter. i would drop dead first before i put my baby girl in a situation where she would be compromised or taken advantage of. there's some kind of beast that comes out in male teachers when no one else is around! angry
on the other hand there's the risk of a female teacher in the home with your husband. but i believe he is an adult and therefore responsible for his actions and should be able to control himself.

if i were to choose i would pick a hemaphrodite teacher. cool

ok. seriously, i would go with a female teacher. i dont lie awake at night waiting for my husband to cheat or worrying sick that he will. ive padded my account, taken charge of my emotions and learnt to do stuff for myself. whenever he upsets the applecart im off. ive tried to be the best wife i can be and i can do no more than that. undecided

The first thing to do is to first get pregnant for the guy so that his family will know that you are fertile. This is the practice in Nigeria today.
if you have nothing better to say why not just put your tongue in its sheath or scabbard? angry
FamilyRe: Why Are My Friends In Nigeria Always Asking Me For Money? by spoilt(f): 1:01am On May 06, 2007
true. the ones who really need it seldom ask. its those who already have but still have big eye. each time i go to naija, i see that these people are doing really well. using expensive phones while im managing a kpako phone here. grin
they shuffle in and out of the country easily and then turn around to ask for western union. shocked

davidylan:
your "wife" divorced you years ago in her heart.
well we dont know about that davidylan.
but what we do know is that nigeria is a very difficult place for a foreigner to live in. did she ever visit? did she find it unbearable?
this matter has caused divorce btw so many couples when a foreign spouse would not agree to live in nigeria. can you blame them? initially some think they can do it and stay for some years after which they pack up and leave in a huff.( like chris okoties wife)
my uncle has lived all his life seperated from his american wife. they have been married over 35 years and she never once lived in nigeria. ever. she came to visit and was horrified! i cudnt feel sorry for him. he chose that.didnt they talk b4 marriage? did he really think she was going to find our bad roads and rotten cities attractive? grin

well
at the end of the day, they are still married and he does all the visiting! you might want to consider that.

you guys quit crucifying him. y'all know how nigerians keep calling you to ask for money. and because of the time difference they tend to wake you up at night too. he's not feeling big and mighty. he's just expressing disgust. nigerians should quit their attitude of disturbing people overseas to send them money.

ive learnt to be harsh. i work my Behind off to make money and i dont oblige any of those golddiggers any more.i used to give stuff out all the time. they'll even want the suitcase you came with. HABA! shocked
all that has stopped. infact now i ask them for stuff all the time just to annoy them. i alway tell them "you are enjoying" or "dash me". it gets them real riled up. the best form of defence is attack! cool
FamilyRe: Why Are My Friends In Nigeria Always Asking Me For Money? by spoilt(f): 4:38am On May 05, 2007
true. people have been forced to change phone numbers because of village people asking for money for fictitious operations for the deathly ill and so on. its crazy. my uncle has changed his cell phone number twice in 2 months. there's no service in his village so they journey to umuahia to call him to send money.or they ask complete strangers to call him. thats hilarious! grin
